Thanks, Yelp! I happened to see the reviews for this place and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I…read moredid as this place is a total hidden gem. I wasn't too familiar with Peruvian food but the menu had lots of interesting options so it was hard to decide. I ended up trying the Steak Al Tausi (Peppers, Onions, Pea pods in Garlic Black Bean Sauce) with White Rice and it was excellent and a ton of food served with a large serving of white rice. I also tried a papaya banana milk (somewhat like a less thick milkshake) and it went perfectly with my meal. Service was very friendly and attentive here and it's a small family run type restaurant that has some tables and a counter for to-go orders. This place is a must try if you're in the area and I'll come back here if I'm in the area again.

Thought it was just average, honestly - fruit wasn't the freshest, the flavor combo just so-so. It's definitely possible to turn common ingredients from the grocery into uncommon flavors, but it would probably take a little more effort. The wife said she gets better results out of the Yonanas machine at home, which isn't a great sign for a place for whom fruit is the primary draw. Service was just fine - plenty of people here and our orders came out quickly. Not a lot of seats in here - I'm sure that a lot of folks at the nearby university or hospital get there stuff to go. For the area I'm sure this place is a novelty and I could easily see them testing out different recipes to put some polish on the menu.

It's a bit confusing for a newbie, but if you just let them know it's your first visit they're very helpful with explaining the aloe+tea benefits included prior to the shake. The shakes have Herbalife meal shake mix & protein powders (ie. Meal replacement). I informed the barista I was macro counting so she told me the exact measurement of each ingredient. SOO HELPFUL! I keep going back because I love the flavors & appreciate the variety, but also a huge part is that I didn't get an eye roll when I asked for the shake breakdown-- they willingly told me in detail what I needed to keep my diet on track. This is now a staple in my week for a post workout "treat!"

My girls have been at MDA for the last two years and I try to go every Tuesday I can get there before they close when I drop them off, I even get shakes for the girls for the end of class sometimes. I made it there with five minutes to spare and was denied service. An absolute pet peeve as another local business owner, not to mention in a time when we have people who wish their office was open and could get a pay check. You have literally three employees behind the counter punching the clock with an empty store and a customer comes to the counter when your door is open for business and you tell them " well we close in five minutes...." Are you serious??? I mean laziness doesn't surprise me anymore but I am ashamed for this business and don't know when I would care to venture back! I hate when punching the clock is more important than customer service, I don't have a job where I punch the clock nor have the luxury to turn away a walk in, but god bless those who do!

The owner and Hannah (one of the workers there ) both talk badly about customers when they leave (those same customers that keep those doors open) and complains about how much of a tip they leave . I was hired on with three other girls and as far as I know two of the three quit and the third one probably has too because of being lied to about money. I had to make an excuse to go and get my Products I PAID FOR before I quit because she stole one of the others girls supplements who quit and said when I confronted her that she gave her the option to come get it (hard to believe considering it was probably almost $200 worth of stuff if not more ) . I love many of the bowls and juices and like the variety of offerings. The juices are refreshing and perfect for a hot summer day. One of my favorite bowls is the 8th Ave, which is a simple classic. The coffee is also really good, and I love it in the Coconut New Orleans smoothie. The fruit has always been fresh and ripe, exactly what you want as a topping on these bowls. The bowls are also a good size, where I can usually freeze half for later. The store is located in a little shopping center in Morgantown, with plenty of parking nearby. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice to spend some time outside on warm days. If you stay and eat, there are a few tables for different size groups, though grab and go is always an option too. I like the refrigerated grab and go case too if you want to stock up on juices for later or want a drink with your bowl. It's great to have a place with healthy and light options like this in town. Definitely check out Playa Bowls if you're nearby!
