I am never one to write a bad review but time after time having a bad experience has really left me wanting to make sure you look elsewhere for Bridal wear. My husband has rented 4+ suits from the Bridal Shoppe for various friends weddings. The past two rentals have gone the same way, he goes in for the initial try on, after being measured, the suit doesn't fit. This time his pants were just below his knees. They will quickly order him another pair, which is never ready until this next day, causing another trip to get the correct pants, never an apology or "sorry for the inconvenience". Both of these actions are understandable, but still an inconvenience. For this particular wedding the pants were still about an inch off in length, but we can make it work. After the event on a Saturday they want the suit returned the following Wednesday to avoid a late fee, which is reasonable. I folded all suit pieces up and returned them Wednesday afternoon. They texted my husband saying they were missing his jacket. The text mentioned he would owe $50 for a late fee and then if he was unable to find the coat he would have to pay to replace it. He called and explained all parts were returned. They then they told him he was actually missing the pants and not the coat. He explained the pants were definitely returned he explained the first pair were too short and they had to order another size. She told him men always "loose them and then come back in when they find them", simply not the case here. He said "look again" as he knew they were returned. After 30 or so minutes he called back as he hadn't heard anything and she explained she was on a "Zoom call" and had not looked, meanwhile we are both in a panic thinking we were going to have to pay for a suit that we definitely do not have. She then texts him, "I apologize for the confusion, your original pants were located by Jim's. Thank you". This whole situation was extremely frustrating and handled in a not so caring way. I guess next time take pictures of each piece being returned or ask for a document saying all was returned. Friendly customer service, kindness, and communication go a long way, look elsewhere to avoid a major headache. read more

I can not say enough great things about this shop and my consultant, Taylor! I had a horrible experience with a different shop and they were able to turn my dress experience around. I came from Kansas City to them in the hopes to find one dress in particular from my favorite designer. They took care of me and made sure to make my family comfortable and included in the experience. They let me try on several dresses and take a lunch to make my decision. Once I did I could not have been happier and they let me come back before leaving town to try it on again and take photos. I just picked up the dress a few weeks ago and I am SO happy with the full process! Defiantly ask for Taylor as she will take care of you and knows what she's talking about. I enjoyed being able to shop my own dresses from Pinterest before coming, and I was lucky to call ahead and find out the dress I was wanting was available in a sample size 10- which was smaller than some of the shops I had visited and ended up being a perfect fit! Does not deserve even one star with the disrespect I was treated with. When I got a dress here, they didn't get my famous "say yes to the dress" picture, didn't even mention it. Me, my mothers and bridesmaids were treated with the worst disrespect I've ever dealt with. I have put in so much money into this store, I truly regret it with all of me. I was taking my own pictures, zipping up my own and bridesmaids dresses, and we were rushed into rooms and barley spoken to, and when I responded in the same way we were all being treated, I got an attitude, dirty looks, and whispers. My sisters dress was also missing, and Taylor couldn't even let me know what was going on, or that it was found. As the Bride, they ruined this one experience I had. I will never recommend this place. It's a building full of greedy, mean girls. read more

By far the worst dress and tux shop, maybe on planet earth, and that's not even an exaggeration., My fiancé, and I both got our items for our wedding at the shop my fiancé was measured the dress was ordered in the wrong measurement, and therefore the dress came in and did not fit because the woman instead of ordering the customary size up, ordered sizes down. As a result, my fiancé, and now wife had to resort to the rack address, which had been tried on numerous times, and had to be repaired because it was rip in it from being tried on multiple times, and the owner of the store was very rude and wasn't interested in discounting and kept repeating "I just I am so frustrated by this entire situation. " This women should be frustrated because her employee couldn't order the dress properly based on the measurements, especially as these we're retaken-to verify that the measurements hadn't changed and they were the exact same measurements that were used to who were used when ordering. So they messed up and as a result of me not taking no for an answer , we did not pay a dime more for this dress then we had put down for the deposit but I from that point on we were treated extremely rude. 3/4 three of the four tuxes had issues with fitting which tells me that nobody there apparently knows how to measure. Taylor was the only professional person there and calmed my fiancé during the process of trying to get the dress situation straightened out but the owner and everyone else there were completely useless and we will never be returning. Do not spend your money here we spent way more money that we should've here and if it wasn't for the nature of when the wedding was, we would be getting a full refund and never returning absolute joke at the store, the worst experience of our lives. TL:DR Taylor only employee competent apparently. Owner and store is a JOKE read more

They either measured me wrong and don't know how to do their jobs correctly or they lied to me about my dress size so the alterations shop they're partnered with next door could make more money off of me in alterations. The Festus Bridal Shop is an amazing place to find all of your wedding needs. This is our second child's wedding they are helping us with. If you make an after hours appointment, they will serve snacks and wine for the party's enjoyment. Mary was an amazing consultant. She was patient and accommodating. We loved her!! The dresses are beautiful and about half the price of the St. Louis county stores. There is a wide selection of bridesmaid dresses and tuxes for the guys. They offer great discounts if you buy the bride's dress here also. Love this place. I still have one more to get married so we will be back. read more

The Bridal Shoppe is wonderful! The consultants are knowledgeable and sweet. They have a wide selection of dresses and the place is quaint and clean. I don';t believe they are affiliated with The Alteration Shop next door but they did refer me here...and it was a huge mistake! If you do take your wedding dress to The Alteration Shop, please DO NOT have Danielle alter your wedding gown! She nearly ruined my dress. She has no business touching a wedding gown. She took my dress home and didn't show up for multiple scheduled appointments, I had to wait an hour for her to return my dress. After I finally got it back and took it to a different seamstress, turns out she had the hem completely wrong, the layers were uneven, she used the wrong pins in the tulle tearing a hole in it, she put in two completely different cups, and messed up the beaded straps. I have to spend more money to have my dress altered correctly and fix her mistakes! If I could give zero stars I would . The only positive about this shop is Sue. She has done a great job with my sister's jumpsuit and my mom's dress. Other than that, I would highly recommend NOT going to The Alteration Shop! read more

Worst customer service ever! DO NOT waste your time or your money. They will screw you over big time in the end. The owner was completely inappropriate, and rude, rude, rude. She made comments to myself and my bridesmaids that were completely out of line. I can't believe I went in there a second time and gave them an un-deserving second chance. It was then I knew for sure that this place could care less about the bride and her big day - they are there simply for the $$$, and that is easily observable through their attitudes and lack of concern or help towards anyone who enters into the business.
