She had an appointment on a Saturday morning. Five us were there with her. None of us could believe how bad our appointment was. I can't even call her a consultant. She was a flat out sales person. She didn't listen to what my daughter was telling her. My daughter could barely breathe in one of the dresses and the sales gal went on and on about the dress. She literally said to her, "I can tell you don't even want to take it off" as my daughter was saying how she couldn't breathe in it. She was pushing the look over comfort. Most of the time my girl didn't like the look or feel the comfort. Brides are in their dress for hours and hours on their wedding day so of course comfort is important. There was a dress that my daughter kind of liked. She pointed out what she didn't like about it. The sales gal said that all kinds of changes could be made. Now, I know that each of those changes cost money, but she never mentioned that fact. She was also not respectful of my daughter's budget. The sales person was extremely pushy, a little rude, and dismissive. She almost seemed angry that we didn't purchase something that day. I have a third daughter. When it's her time to get married, I know where we won't be going.

They mentioned that they have 800+ dresses in stock. I also happened to note the room where they have the samples they are retiring and sale to clients who need one in a shorter time or want to save some money--although these are of course limited by what size you're looking for but there looked to be a ton of options there. The stylists do a great mix of pulling/making suggestions for you and walking with you so you can look at options yourself. I worked with Megan during my first visit who was very attentive and had a great interpretation of what I was looking for in my random rambling. She texted a few weeks later to mention that the dress I had been most interested in would be part of an upcoming trunk show and would have a discount during that weekend. I was so impressed that she remembered and took the time to do that. I really felt like it was thoughtful and a personal touch. My second try on was great too. I really had a lovely experience. The shop has been in business for over 30 years. They partner with Savvi Formalwear so your groom/groomsmen can get discounts on their suits/tuxes. They did mention that as of May 2024 they will no longer be doing bridesmaid dresses.

Personally, I find it hard to not have pictures to compare with other dresses that I've tried on, but this is nothing against the shop itself. The price point is mid-high range for wedding dress, starting at just below $1K to a few grand. After that day, I received two hand-written notes from the shop reminding me to stop by anytime if I haven't found anything. They offer a small discount (I believe it was 15%) on dresses from that brand on the trunk show weekend. It's a size-able chunk of change when you are dropping upwards of $3K+ on a designer dress.
