Andrea (my consultant) took all my stress away from the moment I came in. We browsed the rails together and found several options - before I slipped on "the one." I have big boobs and had struggled to feel good when trying on dresses at other boutiques but Andrea helped me pick out dresses that worked for my figure and made me feel amazing. Not only did Andrea help style, she also personally altered the sample dress I tried on and it fitted like a glove in time for my August wedding! Throughout our fittings, Andrea also offered me expert advice and tips to do "on the day" to ensure I looked and felt my best coming down the aisle - such as the best way to hold my boutique, look after the dress (which I had to bring over to France) and ways to accessorise to enhance the overall look. I am so grateful she came to my rescue... thank you so much to Andrea and Mirror Mirror for such an amazing 5* experience.

They just make women look like giant cupcakes, covered in lace. However these dresses are rather elegant, I would never wear one but they are nice to look at if you are one of "those" brides. This shop is by appointment only and is not child friendly, they discourage it as politely as they can. They have dresses for skinny and curvy women as well as all the accessories.

I first visited Morgan Davies when located up on Cross Street and from that first experience with my best friends, knew that the kind service and modern dress selection would bring me back when it was time for me to enter the wedding dress process. With mom in town, it was time. Morgan Davies was of course the first place I made an appointment. And it was... nice. The new shop is stunning with lush fitting rooms, but where as other bridal shops immediately exude warmth, this one seemed much more "in-and-out" orientated rather than relationship building. Now in fairness, I know I'm not going to marry my wedding dress consultant, but it's a pretty big decision and it's nice to find someone who really wants you to be happy! I walked in, picked five dresses, tried them on, walked out. I don't know... maybe that's how some people like to do it, but in other shops I really enjoyed getting dress suggestions from the consultant, having her fluff over my hair, shoes and accessories and really get in there with the pins and needles for some mock-fittings. And if I remember correctly, this is the exact experience I had at the previous Morgan Davies location. Meh... maybe I just came on an off day?

Hi there, After…read morereading great reviews and have them recommended i decided to go to Morgan Davis bridal. This turned out to be the biggest wedding mistake i could ever make!!! Annalize is the most unprofessional, incompetent rude manager i (and my now husband) have dealt with! I will tell my story here, its a bit long, though i will try and cut to the point When i first went into the shop to try a specific dress i found she was nice and polite. I tried the dress decided straight away that it was the 'right one". She measured me and i made sure to question carefully about the size i needed and also question if the dress would be comfortable as we were getting married in Italy. She said she knew what she as doing and the dress would be arriving in 2 months (it was 3 months before our wedding in June). The dress arrived, i went to my first fitting... The dress was too small!!! -It couldn't close on my back and They claimed i had gained 2 inches on my bust and lost 2 inches on my hips... (simply impossible, also as i have a personal trainer so i actually have all my measurements and weight on file incl the weekly updates at the time up to the wedding)... As you can imagine the stress was horrible, 4 weeks before the wedding and no dress. As i was very stressed out i involved my at the time fiancé, the owner Samantha went on the phone with me, she never said a simply sorry, but did promise they would fix the dress if i wanted. My fiancé also went on the phone with Samantha (to him she did say sorry and that they made a horrible mistake) she promised they would work around the clock if i would want the dress still...We decided to go with the dress... The new dress arrived a week before i had to leave for my wedding and this time they ordered it way too big, which meant the alterations were extensive. Annalize was at work this time and started out with asking me to try the sample while saying;" if you remember the sample as almost perfect to you" I corrected her "that it was way too little over the bust on the back" (which i till to date have pics of) . They started pinning me up for the alterations, i again questioned the size of the dress as it looked completely out of shape on me, but they said it would be no problem. Last fitting the day before i had to leave, as you can imagine I was VERY nervous....Which turned out to be valid.... The dress AGAIN didn't fit, i looked nothing less than HORRIBLE in it, it was out of shape, clearly a wrong size and i couldn't lift my arms - yes you read correct! Annalize and her assistant were trying to pin it up further for alterations and at this stage i was at breaking point. We were doing "damage control" on my wedding dress. I tried to say this as well as point out i couldn't lift my arms to Annalize, who in a rude tone told me she thought the dress looked great and why would i need to lift my arms anyways etc etc. After this i tried to stay calm and just asked them to get me out of the dress, Annalize asked me if i wanted to settle the rest of the balance (i had paid half upfront) as she would like that done, i found that very surprising as i was 24 hours away from departure and still did not have a wedding dress. So i informed she would hear from my fiancé (as i was about to cry i didn't feel i could deal with it). My fiancé went on the phone with Annalize, questioning how we could settle a balance on a dress not delivered. Firstly she hung up on him. He called up again and this time he raised his voice while also expressing frustration that he should have to raise his voice. She was blatantly rude and basically just asked for the balance. My fiancé said; 'fine i have no problem paying you now, if the dress is ready on time as agreed in the condition it should be..." Annalize got quiet and all she said was: "please give me your card details and i will refund you your money...." A minute after we received a rude email from her about how she saw this case closed and money was transfered back to us. Still no simple "sorry" and i had NO WEDDING dress 24 hours before departing for my wedding!! I have never in my life felt so badly treated nor have had to deal with such incompetence. Morgan Davis Bridal - and particularly Annalize - have no clue or respect for the fact that they are dealing with peoples wedding and a once in a lifetime experience. To get closure I'm writing this review. I won't lie, i honestly did consider if i should involve a lawyer, because someone should cover the damages of the bride not having a dress! So my advise is to tay far far far away from Morgan Davis Bridal!

Phillipa Lepley is renowned as being one of the most exclusive bridal couturiers in the UK…read more Everything here is pretty much made to measure, and is done so using materials and labour all sourced from the UK, which means that dresses and veils here are priced accordingly. But, as they are made to measure, you can be assured that you'll look absolutely amazing in any dress you choose. The thing that matters most in a dress isn't its length or material, it's how it fits on you, and, with the amount of experience the staff at Phillipa Lepley have, they're bound to get it right. This is pretty much the place to come to if you're looking for a high-quality, classic, timeless, elegant traditional wedding dress. During my first visit, I was attended to by the store manager who is herself a trained dressmaker. She offered me loads of advice as to the shade that suited me the most, as well as the kinds of dress styles I should be looking at in order to show off my attributes. She also offered advice on what else I could do to a dress - add lace, add a dash of colour - in order to add more oomph to the dress. All in all, I really appreciated that visit as it helped guide me in terms of what I was looking for in wedding dresses. If you're not interested in a made to measure gown adapted from their collection, you can also choose to sit down and work with them to design your ideal gown. Of course, this will be more expensive, but, if you can afford it, I imagine it will be an amazing experience. For those of you (like me) who do not have huge budgets, Phillipa Lepley holds sample sales twice a year, as far as I can tell: once in the summer (June) and another around Christmas.

Mirror Mirror on the wall, who's the fairest bridal boutique of them all? (That's how it goes,…read moreright? If you're shaking your head in confusion, you must not have experienced this gorgeous little gown gem.) From the second we walked in, everything was right. The warmth of the store, the quality of the dresses, the combination of warmth and quality of the staff -- it was like something straight out of a Julia Roberts RomCom. Oh, and then there were the dresses... These were by far the best, most diverse, painfully stylish and affordable dresses we have seen here in London. The first one my best friend tried on had just been returned from a Vogue shoot. We of course learned this before our helper Natasha filled us in that her Mum (the shop's master tailor) had fitted the likes of Twiggy in her over 20 years of experience. With lace so light and silk that would make a baby's butt feel rough, these dresses were absolutely stunning. And affordable! Every dress we tried on was under £1500, and the top contender was just over £800 including a veil and £50 off an accessory of her choice. Ummm, wow. (That leaves a lot more money for her to spoil her bride's maids!) Moreover, the experience was *fun,* which is quite an accomplishment with a bridzilla, a moody maid of honour and an oblivious bride's maid. Natasha whooshed dresses in and out, sensing instantly the feelings from both the decision maker and the peanut gallery. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I highly recommend having a fitting session at Mirror Mirror. Go on then, be fabulous for a day before your big day!

Please take time to read this if you are thinking of buying a dress or wanting to know about the…read moreservice I received from Mirror Mirror (Angel). I first went to MM in April 2011 and am getting married in December 2011. I tried on a variety of dresses - their selection was really good and I think would please most brides but it's key to remember that MM is a boutique store. This means they aren't a major store and therefore don't have thousands of dresses. But with a boutique store and this one in particular comes expertise and a one-to-one service that you wouldn't get from a big store. Also, you sometimes have to share the dressing room - from all the wedding dress shops I did, this was a common occurrence. I'd recommend you embrace it instead of having issues with sharing the space. If you are the bridezilla type (I didn't think I was but have found that I have tendencies like I'm sure a few of you have too!) and want them to be at your beck and call and fall at your feet, then please consider this: they are a business and they are experts in their field - once I realised this, I was much more accepting of them. When I went back for a second viewing of the dress I thought I wanted, they made me feel really special but I still thought they were way overpriced. I looked around and actually found that they were bang on price-wise with other shops that were selling the dress. The alterations package may have been slightly more expensive but this money is so unbelievably worth it (see next paragraphs for more details). I got a girl called Andrea who did my fittings and she was beyond amazing. She knows anything and everything about weddings - from attire to hair styles to jewellery to fake tan to catering. This girl is an encyclopaedia of invaluable knowledge that you won't find on any blog or wedding mag. She is also totally straight-down-the-line and honest. But most importantly, she is lovely and makes you feel completely at ease. She made my experience at MM a really memorable one. When I went for my second fitting, I felt ill half way through. I have been sick for a lot of the year and with a little stress (like packed tubes and running late), I started to feel faint and thought I was going to vomit - just what you want when you have a wedding dress on! Andrea got the dress off me within seconds and made me take my time until I felt better. She then asked me to stay there for an hour until I felt a lot better. There aren't many bridal shops that would have taken care of me like this I don't think. This is the kind of exceptional service you get from Andrea and I can't recommend her highly enough. I brought my wedding dress home today and I couldn't be happier with it, the work that's been done to it and the service I received. Below are some pros and cons for those of you that don't want to read the above. I really hope this helps you and if you do visit MM, enjoy every minute of it. Karola Pros: - Andrea - They know what they are talking about and know what will work for you and what won't. If you know what you want, that is great but I'd listen to them as you never know what they may pick out for you. Remember, they are the experts and know more about wedding dresses than you do - you know you and they will listen to that but they have good ideas that are worth considering. - Reasonable. I did at least ten shops and they were in line with other shops in terms of price. - They are a boutique service - please remember that (this comes with pros and cons, but in the end I found this 9 times out of 10 to be a pro) Cons: - A bit scrappy at times with their organisation but it is a family run business not a big department store - Bad reviews from others - these nearly turned me off buying from MM. I'm really glad I didn't listen to those reviews. - They didn't give me a receipt when I paid but then again I never asked. But when I did ask they sent it to me by email.
