This was one of the best bridal shops we came across in the hunt for my sister's wedding dress. The staff are really helpful and sweet snd they have a huge selection of gorgeous dresses. They also do lots of dresses for bridesmaids too, so you can get it all done together! Their changing rooms are really spacious and bright and private, and believe me, that makes a huge difference when you're trying on one dress after another, after another read more

I was not impressed with Losners. There was no guidance as to what would suit me, just pick whatever you want. The salesperson was not especially friendly and refused to give me any opinions of how I looked in the dresses or suggest ways I could change the look. The dresses were mid- to low-range and not fantastic quality even for the money. A dress costing £1200 had cheap machine-made lace sewn onto it - you can get a bespoke top-end designer dress for just a little more. The changing rooms were just boxes, nothing special about the experience at all. However the menswear people were very good. read more

I have booked an appointment at Brides by Losner after seeing a design online that they stocked. This was my third day dress shopping and my 6th London shop. From the moment I arrived I was made to feel so relaxed and well looked after by the consultants. There was no sense of pressure, everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, and you felt a real sense that all the consultants love their job as they'd get excited about the dresses you were trying on. My consultant made me feel so confident about making such a big decision! I was delighted to have found my dress here - not the one I went in for! - and I was given enough space to make sure I was happy with everything. Then came the fitting and alterations. They include four appointment (I only needed three at the end, but it was good to know that I will not be stuck), all the cost was clear and set upfront. The prices were great values and the work was to the highest standard! At the beginning I was a little uncomfortable with the whole bridal dress process, I was worried that I'll feel like a doll rather than myself in the dress. To add to the complexity my wedding was overseas and due to the weather I was unclear if it will take place indoor or outdoor. I didn't know which accessories would fit my dress. The team at Brides by Losner were outstanding in their support, patients, attention to detail and care! I would come with a bag full of options, confused of what would work and aware of international wishes/taste of my mother and future mother in law. Once I was in the store's changing room, I was claim, I was helped with the fitting with such patient, attentiveness and care!!! A wonderful, professional shop with a personal attitude and years of experience. it felt great to know that I am in such good hands I have already recommended it to all my engaged friends but I felt that deserved that as many brides would hear about them! read more

They have a nice selection of dresses & they are a good opportunity to sample styles. I am really not impressed by the service after you order though. Examples : I contacted them a few times but they couldn't find any info about delivery dates so I panicked that they had not placed the order. Unnecessary stress. Now the dress has arrived but can't offer me a slot for a fitting until 6 weeks time which is 7 days before the wedding!! More stress. read more

I found this site after I'd ordered my dress from Losners and was terrified - but honestly? I have had no problems whatsoever with them. When my dress came in it only needed an inch taking in on the bust/one out on the hips (and that could well have been my size changing!) and that was done by the seamstress with no extra charge. The length was perfect. I had 3 fittings appointments, each of these was during the week, but I didn't even ask for Saturday's - it makes sense that they need to keep this free for new sales, otherwise they wouldn't keep afloat! All the girls and the manageress were fine with me - yes at my initial appointment we were asked to wear gloves to check the dresses, but that's so as they can sell the samples - and it's hardly a great trial. My dress was absolutely beautiful, and beautifully looked after by them. The only thing I'd say is that the zip broke on the cover they used for it, so it might be good if they stocked more expensive ones and offered you to pay for them. read more

My biggest regret is that my fiancee read this review site after we had already purchased her dress. Her dream dress as a Maggie Sottero dress which we could not find anywhere in Australia. We had a friend call around the UK and Losners was the one shop that said they had the dress. We called the shop and ordered the dress, and all was fine and dandy until they received our 50% deposit..All downhill from their. Eventually our dress arrive at the shop and was couriered to us in Australia. We received the dress and they had sent us a used/second hand version of the dress - the dress was a dirty grey colour (not diamond white), holes in the hem, black scuff marks, somebodies hair, make up marks, studs but no sleeves, it stinks and has no authenticity certificate which is mandatory. I called them and complained (to the owner - very very rude lady), she argued that the dress was definitely new, but if we were unhappy we could send it back for a full refund (4 weeks before our wedding). We took the dress to Maggie Sottero's store in Sydney where the manager looked at the dress...she was appalled at the state of the dress! We sent the dress back to the UK and yesterday my brother took the dress in (they have known for a week that he was coming) and they refused to give the refund and said that it would have to be sent to the Financial director at the end of the week for a decision...probably so they can get it cleaned first. Its been nothing but lies since we paid them. I warn you to stay as far away from them as you can. So 3 weeks before the wedding we fortunately got another dress that my bride to be loves, but we have 2 dress that we paid for and obviously didn't budget for not to mentioned about GBP1000 extra costs - courier fees + flights/hotel etc to sydney to get the new dress. Is it worth it. We are taking the matter further with the law, they can't be allowed to get away with it!!! read more

I bought my dress ,from the famous Losners of Stamford Hill . I had been too loads of shops beforehand local to me but eventually my mum said youve tried the rest now try the best. So we went to where she went when she got married, and I have to say it was like chalk and cheese. All the staff knew what they were talking about and had obviosly been in bridal wear along time. Unlike some stores where the sales assistants acted like they worked in a jeans department the week before. The selection was great, and the changinging rooms were large and bright, and I was not hurried at all. All I will say is,as with everything you get what you pay for,and I am so so glad I left my dress in the hands of experts. Thank you to everyone at Losners ps I hope my picture is on the wall now with all the other brides! read more

I returned to this shop after buying my communion dress 32 years before! The staff were friendly, the lady who helped me with the dresses was sooo helpful and didnt mind allowing me to try on as many dresses as i wanted. All the staff were so friendly and came in to see me in my dream dress. The rooms are fine, plently of mirrors to see yourself at all angles!! Its a shame that others have not had the same experience as me, but i would recommend them on my experience. I previously had been to Amanda Wakeley and the assistant there was no comparison, not helpful and the dresses were 3 times the price of Losners !! read more
