Yesterday was one of the best days of my life as I said yes to my dress with the help of Barbara and her amazing staff. They brought out every still of dress so that I can try on and then pick at the end which one I really liked. They were all very kind to us from the moment we stepped in to the moment we left. I recommend this Boutique store to everyone. Thank you for making this day very special for me. read more

If you're Black and shopping for a prom dress, I'd think twice about this store. I was singled out at the door and told--loud enough for everyone to hear--that their dresses start at $500. Meanwhile, no one else was asked about their budget or given that same warning. It felt targeted and unnecessary. I chose to take my business elsewhere. I have never felt this kind of racism before. read more

I made an appointment to look for a formal dress for a black tie wedding. When I arrived at this store, I was surprised to see a very small selection of dresses and colors. The majority of dresses were blue, green or red.   The owner had a bit of an aggressive attitude. She was kind of on guard, like someone was going to steal her dresses or that the source of her dresses was top secret. I got uncomfortable vibes coming from her. The lady helping me try on the dresses, on the other hand, was nicer and softer. The dress my husband liked was about $800, but it was stained with oil spots and some type of black substance. The owner said it was probably other girls trying them on, but I'm not sure that's true since when I was there she was like a hawk about the dresses. Anyway, it did not feel good to spend so much money on a dress that looked like it had been used a few times. She offered to take it to the cleaners. The stains were deep and black, so we thought it was not wise to take chances, all the more with her attitude. What if the stains didn't come out? Not sure how the situation would've been handled, so better not go there. Needless to say, I didn't purchase anything. I was surprised to find out it is not easy to find beautiful formal gowns in Miami. I thought with all the fashion going on in this city, it would be easier. Anyway, this is not a store I can recommend. read more

TERRIBLE, OWNER , STORE AND SERVICE. DO NOT BUY YOUR PROM OR ANY DRESS HERE! We came here for my daughter's prom dress shopping. The dress she tried on came in different colors but only the red was at the store. The owner showed us the shade of gold the dress that was going to come, by showing us a picture of a gold color dress from the designer. After verifying the shade of gold was to our taste we proceeded to pay for the entire order of over $800+ dollars. About 6 days later we got the call that the dress had arrived just to be a terrible two tone shade of orangy gold. When we told her that this was not what she had showned us and what we ordered, she blamed it on her computer monitor not showing the proper color. I asked to see the original red dress my daughter had tried on, the owner immediately stated that if she wanted the dress that was in the store we would have to buy it!! I responded to her, that what she wanted is for us to supposedly understand that the color is not what we ordered because of her monitor, and even be satisfied with the misrepresentation of something that was never seen by us without any good will to make this situation a satisfactory experience! After a heated discussion, I told them to hold off on any alterations we had planned to do since that was not the color we ordered, we did not like this color and it is not the color she showned us. She continue to be rude and she stated that they were not a storage facility and that I had to take the dress, that their policy is non refundable and that she was not responsible for the dress any further. She bluntly stated that it was obvious I had never bought an expensive dress before!! I spent over $800 on a prom dresses for my daughter and I would have spent more for her to be happy with her dress, but definitely not in her shop!!. They packed the dress and gave it to me. We left with my daughter in tears do to the whole process. When we got home, I opened the dress and all the tags of a "new" dress were missing. I immediately called the store and spoke to a "Camila" because the owner was not "available." I asked them, where were the tags of the dress? She stated that they have the right not to give me a dress with tags, in which I stated that a new dress is new based on the tags the dress has and that what they gave me is no longer "new" if they removed the tags. She continued to be rude, I asked for the owner to call me, but at this point, no one has called. No alterations were done. We just saw this dress for the first time on February 7th, 2025, and when we got home and we opened the bag we were shocked to see that all the tags were purposely removed. This should have been an easy transaction when the owner has good business practices, but that is not the case here!!! What we recieved from this terrible shop was a misrepresentation, a lie, terrible service and damaged goods. I should have known that we would get this type of service from a store located at a shopping strip acting and discriminating like they are in Rodeo drive! read more

So many dress options!! We went prom dress shopping and the lady working was so helpful! Dresses were on the more expensive side and she speaks little English, but it is well worth the trip out there! read more

If I could give NO stars I would. The owner of this boutique only cares about the profit that is being made for her and not about the customers or individuals themselves. I am a senior in highschool and due to COVID-19 my prom has been canceled. I had an appointment to do my alterations but seeing as my prom is canceled i called to cancel and attempt to get my deposit back. They did not answer. So I DMED the owner on Instagram and she was completely unwilling to give me back my deposit and advised me to continue to pay for this $500 dress, and simply wear it for another occasion. She is simply going to take my deposit and put the dress back on the rack instead of having compassion and a heart to give the deposit back so that my family and i can use the money for better use during this tough time. This owner is disgustingly profiting off of seniors who's prom are being canceled due to the pandemic. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. read more

Yeah this place sucks. I didn't check the reviews because it wasn't me that was shopping for a prom dress. My girlfriend goes into the store and immediately we were unwelcome. I wasn't aware we needed an appointment and this lady stood behind us while we were just looking at dresses... the other customers in the room looked unhappy as well. I do not speak Spanish and I told the woman this and tried to be nice and she said I couldn't have a drink in there. So I put down the drink and continued to look at dresses with my girlfriend. The lady proceeds to just stand there looking mad that we're even touching the dresses. Feeling awkward and a uncomfortable, we left the store. Another worker there said they were getting more dresses later in the week. Other customers walked out and so did I. We thanked them and left. I don't recommend this place. The environment was tense and negative. Although I only spent 5 minutes in the store, may I just say it was plenty of time. Enough to conjure up a lengthy review. The customer service was complacent and rude. In my opinion, someone who is in retail especially when there is a surplus in their department right now, they might do better with business if they were simply...... nicer. So if you go to this location, make sure to make an appointment and don't bring a drink and also have thick skin because the judgement is real . read more

By recommendation, I visited this so-called boutique in a shopping center and was not greeted as I should have been. My family and I were looked at from top to bottom as we did not belong in this store. I was told when entering that they were very busy and that I should have an appointment, I was not aware an appointed was a requirement. The owner I am assuming, made us wait about 8-10 minutes before she decided to assist me. The lady walked me to the back asked me preferred colors and before she showed me any dresses asked me "what is my budget". I mentioned no more than $300ish and she said, "oh no we are $600 and above, sorry"!! Funny, as I called after my visit and the budget starts at $400. They could have worked with me, but never gave me the time. Long story short, never treat people as you are better or above them as you are not. They lost a customer and gained a bad review. One star does not apply. read more

I have never seen an unprofessional and childish service. My friend was going to buy a dress here for prom but do to the corona virus going on unfortunately the prom got cancelled as many other things have been cancelled or postponed... Now you would think that people would be understanding and give any person their deposit back because of this fact but they didn't... My friend has explained to her many times that this is only because they're in desperate need because her mother isn't working do to the fact of this pandemia so $500+ will be really helpful at this moment and she just doesn't understand and blocks everyone that tries to get her to understand THAT IS JUST SO CHILDISH! Honestly deserves no stars but I wouldn't be able to make this review.... Its a shame read more

The ONLY reason they are even getting a star from me is because they have gorgeous dresses. My maid of honor is 6'2 with a beautiful hourglass figure that I wanted to accentuate. David's bridal didn't have what I was looking for so I found this shop on Instagram and I called them and explained to them what I was looking for. I needed a floor length dress with a mermaid style for my maid of honor and they said they had it. We went in and found a beautiful gown that was $500. The rest of my bridesmaids paid less than that elsewhere but because we loved the dress and how it looked on her we went again and placed the order. The dress she tried on was a size XL AND perfect for her height even if she wore heels. it would have had to be tailored on top because it was too large but that's the way she was supposed to order it. The OWNER placed the order and guaranteed it was be here by May 30th and that it would be long enough. They never called for the dress arrival so I went ahead and gave them a call the second week in June. When I called they said it hadn't arrived because the wedding wasn't until September so They didn't place the order. WHAT? The receipt said otherwise. The dress was shipping from California. They told me it would arrive by the end of the month and when i followed up they still didn't get the dress. I finally received a call at the start of July that the dress arrived and they told my Maid of honor that she couldn't come on a Saturday to pick up or get tailored. We went in today(Saturday) to pick up the dress and again we were helped by the owner and the dress wasn't floor length and she said it was because she didn't order it extra tall as we requested! WHAT?!? Then she said she would order another dress and it would arrive in a week and I explained to her that we were supposed to get the dress in May and my wedding is in 5 weeks. I couldn't risk not getting the dress in time and having to alter it. She basically told us we were wrong. They have beauty contestants and Miss Universe getting dresses from them and those ladies are 5'11 and up and yet we couldn't get a floor length dress. I highly doubt they would disappoint a vip client like that. Worst customer service. The only thing beautiful there are the dresses. Won't be back ever. Wouldn't recommend. read more

When I bought my daughter her prom dress ( not Cheap $450) they asked for a date and time to come and measure the alterations. I made the appointment and when I arrived there was a mess of people waiting too. I told the owner that I have an appointment at 3:30 pm. She said that there are a lot of dress now being measured that I should come back in an hour. When I come back she said that is first come, first serve. Very disrespectful and unprofessional service. So disappointed in they acted when they are selling $400+ dresses. I'd rather go to Bloomingdales don't come here. read more

They dont care about their customers during this pandemic and only care about money. Do not shop here especially since theyre so money hungry. There are better boutiques around where you will get excellent service AND an excellent dress. read more

It is a shame that during a nationwide pandemic the company is not willing to reconsider their refund policy. Many have purchased dresses for their prom, but unfortunately won't be able to use since their prom is cancel because of the pandemic. These are special circumstanceses and the company should make an exemption. read more

they have robbed multiple families during these hard times and circumstances. My friend Martica Yeomans has this problem with Bridal Boutique by Barbara. Bridal Boutique by Barbara should feel ashamed of themselves!!! This boutique has robbed our senior class of their prom dress deposits for their own selfishness!!!! Our seniors WILL NOT have a prom, graduation or any kind of ceremony! My friend put a down payment for her daughter prom dress. When my friends daughter was supposed to go get fitted/altered they were closed because of COVID19. When my friend finally got in touch with the owner she explained to her that her daughters school had canceled prom. If it was possible to please return her deposit since the dress wasn't altered and the dress wasn't specially ordered because she had chosen something off the boutique rack of dresses and the owner said no to just pay off the dress and use it for another occasion. This is seriously bad business know what times we are all in. That being said once you place your review please copy on our post and share with all your friends and family. read more

on March 6, 2020, my daughter and I visited this boutique for her prom dress. We extended her dress fitting to April 2 since schools should have been back by then. Due to the recent pandemic, all School activities have been canceled. Meaning her prom will no longer take place. When we visited this boutique the intentions were to purchase a dress for her prom. We have attempted to contact the boutique for a refund of our deposit since no prom will no longer take place. The owner of the store has advised us to purchase the dress anyway and save it for a special occasion. I'm sorry but I am not someone that will just buy a $500 dress to sit in a closet to wait for an "another occasion". I understand that there is a no return policy, but if we were at different times and a different situation I would understand. We are in the middle of a worldwide pandemic that far reaches any of our wants. We were hoping that due to COVID-19 the store would be a little more compassionate and sympathetic. It is very clear they are not. This boutique is only out to cash in on everyone's hard-earned cash. They do not care about anyone's financial situations. This year seniors have had all of their activities that they longed for taken away. It hurts me to see that my daughter will not get to experience any of these milestones. This boutique should feel embarrassed for continuing to destroy my daughter's senior year. Sad individuals with no heart! read more

This has been hands down the best bridal shopping I've ever had. I went to other stores prior to Bridal Boutique by Barbara and the experience was so much better at Barbara's. It is a smaller boutique, more relaxed and personal, you actually can go through their gowns and talk to the stylist on advice (rather then just waiting in the room and hoping that the stylist comes back with someone that you like) and they don't up-sell (they will give you the designer, the price, even the NAME of the dress so that you can look it up!). I would definitely recommend this place when you are looking for your bridal gown or any special occasion dress, very unique boutique. read more

I went to this boutique with my friend to shop for prom dresses. We walked in and not one person looked at us or greeted us in this small room. We waited there for 10 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge us since we weren't sure if we were allowed to just walk in and start looking. We asked a worker there that was helping this young girl, "excuse me" and the young girl that she was helping told the worker "these girls are calling you" and the worker completely ignored her and us. We felt ignored so we waited at the front of the store for a few more minutes and this other young girl with her mom walk into the store and immediately the workers welcome them and asks them if they have an appointment. They tell the mom and daughter that they are able to walk in and look around as we are standing in front of them. So my friend and I start looking around and this other worker comes out from the back and asks, "Who's next so I can help them?" The lady in the front points at the mom and the daughter that came after us and says, "They have an appointment so them." We left immediately and would rather go to a different boutique. I'm not sure if it had to do with our skin color or the fact that we were young and didnt come with a parent but they were very rude to us and they made us feel bad for doing nothing. Would not recommend to any of my friends because I dont want anyone to feel what we felt. read more

My mother and sister came here to purchase a dress for my sisters high school prom. But obviously due to this pandemic the school prom was canceled. Therefore we asked if we can have our deposit back since we won't be needing a dress, and they literally told me NO and to use it for another occasion, I do not know if they are aware of the news about this Pandemic(Covid-19). But that is really unprofessional, many people are losing their jobs and many students are not going to experience the night they've waited for their whole academic career because of this crisis , and these people are literally not caring and pocketing multiple deposits from different families knowing that majority of "Prom Nights" across the county are canceled. And they still refuse to give people their money back. This is a disgrace and needs to stop!!! I do not recommend anyone dealing with this unprofessional business. It's sick! read more

This location truly deserves no stars. My daughter and I went to this location on March 6 to look for a prom dress for her prom. After finding the dress that my daughter light we gave a $200 deposit for it. About two weeks after the nation was hit with the COVID-19 pandemic. We scheduled our alteration appointment for April 2 expecting that everything may go back to normal. On April 2, we realized that the situation at hand is more crucial than it has ever been. We reached out to the owner, Barbara, to see if we could possibly get a refund for our deposit since the dress was never altered or no changes were made to it. She was extremely unsympathetic with everything that was going on and advised us that she will not give us a refund and our best option was to just go through with purchasing the dress, which was $500 + $125 more for alterations, and just save it for another occasion. When I read this response I was completely taken aback. I could not comprehend how someone could possibly take advantage of another individual during such a devastating time. It is very clear that the owner of this store is only out to profit off of her clients. The dress we placed on hold was never altered and by her not returning our deposit, she will pocket the $200, put the dress back on the rack, and sell it to someone else to collect even more money for it. They have blocked everyone messaging them about our situation or their very own from social media and have deleted all comments which is very unprofessional. With everything that is going on today, this has got to be the most selfish and opportunist thing i have seen. I truly thought that this place had the well being of its clients at hand but its clear they only care about themselves. I will never recommend this boutique and truly think that you should too.
