They both made me feel very comfortable. I went to this place as my last stop after searching everywhere for a dress. I almost cancelled my appointment because I was feeling so overwhelmed shopping at other places and not finding "the one". Let me tell you I am so happy I didn't cancel because I found my dream dress here! It has everything I was looking for! I decided to come back to the shop the following week when they were having their trunk show in order to get the dress at a discount. I came back with some family members that hadn't come to the first appointment so that they could see me in the dress and both Yvonne and Eboni were so accommodating. We even had a champagne toast when I finally said "Yes"! I can't say anything about alterations because my fiancé's aunt is a seamstress and will be taking care of that for me but over all it was a great experience and I would totally recommend this place.

I cannot recommend Julie Allen Bridals enough to anyone planning a wedding. They went above and…read morebeyond for me multiple times throughout the year I worked with them. We found that my mother needed to start chemotherapy immediately the week we were going to start dress shopping. We had one weekend to search for a dress before she started treatment during the pandemic and could no longer go out in public, and I refused to go dress shopping without my mom. Our first stop was Julie Allen Bridals. We reached out to them ahead of time and asked if we could have a photographer come and photograph us together in dresses while we shopped since she would be losing her hair, and we wanted to photograph her with her long locks. Not only did they agree to have a photographer come, but they offered to shoot the photos for us with one of their bridal consultants, Erica, who photographs her in her spare time. She refused to take any payment we offered. We found a fantastic dress at that first shop that had amazing sleeves I couldn't stop thinking about it the entire weekend while we kept looking and made the decision to move forward with Julie Allen. They were very accommodating about the alteration requests I had as I wanted to change some underskirt colors and vastly cut back the long train and worked with me every step of the way to get clarity and make sure the dress was exactly what I wanted. Yupa, my seamstress at Julie Allen was so warm and kind. She knew exactly what to do to alter the dress and add little additions here and there to make managing the dress easier. We did try adding some clear strips to the shoulders under the sheer fabric there to stop some redness where the dress rubbed, but it was far too distracting and reflective in the light. The owner herself, Melanie, spent the better part of an hour removing them herself! My mom is officially in remission a year later, and focusing on the wedding gave her something positive to look forward to as she fought. We are so glad we started our dress journey with Julie Allen Bridals, and they will always have a special place in our hearts as we reflect on our wedding planning experience. You won't get a better experience than here at Julie Allen Bridals. I'd come here again, but I'm not planning to get married again soon, so I'll have to recommend them to all my engaged friends instead. :)

After a few failed attempts elsewhere, I was able to secure an appointment at the White Dress by the Shore. I recall telling my sister/MOH that she didn't need to make the drive for the appointment as it was probably going to be another disappointment. My experience at the White Dress was anything but a disappointment. I was taken care of by Beth (owner) and Kim on my first appointment. I was swept away by all of the details to include a private salon with beautiful décor and accessory pieces to look at while I was waiting. Kim was very patient and accommodating to all of my needs and questions. I felt special, even beautiful, when we landed on the gown that I knew was for me. Beth's expertise and amazing style allowed me to add a custom feature (sleeves) to my gown that made it the perfect selection for me. My mother and I were provided champagne to celebrate as we finalized the details of my gown order. I made several trips back to the White Dress for my fittings, jewelry selection and gown pick-up. Lauren, Shana and the other associates I encountered were all friendly, professional and always made me feel special. I even received a hand-written note from Kim after selecting my gown. While all brides will have different styles and budgets, I would recommend the White Dress by the Shore to anyone who wants to feel like a princess during their gown experience. The number of complements I received on my special day exceeded my expectations and most importantly, I took my groom's breath away. Beth and her team at the White Dress by the Shore helped make my wedding dreams come true.
