My…read morepartner and I are very particular, so we wanted a very specific type of home with a specific floorplan. As such, our dream home was not easy to find, especially with the current state of the real estate market, the pandemic, and uncertainty of the economy. But with Crystal and Brenton's help, we successfully navigated through all of that, and more! Thank you both for staying with us during our long home-buying process! Our home is a new build, so that came with its own challenges, complexities, and of course, rewards. They were incredibly helpful in being with us every step of the process, especially in dealing with the builder. We are so thankful for them because they fully looked-out for us and our interests!  The lender that Crystal recommended was also an excellent fit for us! We got a professional experience coupled with care and efficiency from the entire lending team. In addition, their lead team member often made us laugh! That was so helpful because home-buying is no visit to the spa! Lol! Having lived in Los Angeles almost my entire life, my client/customer experience with Crystal and Brenton is something you would see in Beverly Hills, Malibu or Studio City, but of course with their expert knowledge and long experience working in San Diego County, particularly North County.  What also makes them special is Brenton's eye for structural detail. He used that to point out pertinent features of every home we toured. That was so helpful! Moreover, Brenton happens to be a professional floor installer. We used his services to select and install beautiful hardwood floors and carpet. His work is amazing! I highly recommend him. We got lucky that Brenton was part of our team because we could not find the right style of flooring from the builder. Having Brenton meant saving us time from having to interview and research floor installers. It also saved us time from having to visit the builder's design center, again. At that point in our process, saving time was so important because we were nearing our busy work season, and therefore would not have much time for more house-related projects/decisions. Lastly, what I like about Crystal and Brenton is their positive attitude, openness to our ideas, and eye towards our goal. Also, we got special treats and gifts to celebrate each important milestone in the home buying process! Thank you Crystal and Brenton!

Real estate transactions are complicated. Helping an elderly relative with memory issues sell a…read morehouse in California that she's lived in for over 40 years when I live on the East coast adds additional layers of complexity. Dennis and Sunshine Smith have been there to assist us each step along the way to close of escrow. I've come to rely on Dennis as a trusted advisor who has helped us prepare a house filled with years of clutter and deferred maintenance and market it successfully. Not only did we sell during the holiday season, but also at a time when buyers were fleeing the market due to rising interest rates. His advice comes from years of experience with market fluctuations and time to develop relationships with capable contractors. Together we've faced structural issues, plumbing & sewer issues, electrical issues, termite and wood destroying fungus issues, a break-in from a homeless person, and skunks looking for a "honeymoon suite" under the house! Throughout it all, Dennis has been professional and pragmatic. He suggested a marketing strategy that put the house in its best possible light through de-cluttering and staging. In addition, his marketing strategy helped us minimize buyers' remorse and an erosion of equity that comes when buyers ask for price reductions or threaten to cancel the contract. He helped us sift through multiple offers on the property and negotiate with buyers' agent to urge them for their "best and final offer". I interviewed two other realtors who sent investors to look at the house prior to putting it up for sale. That may have been a quick sale, but I'm glad we ended up working with Dennis and Sunshine Smith because I believe they helped us get the most money out of the house. Barbara N. Burke, Virginia

It is with pleasure that I strongly recommend Dennis and Sunshine Smith, who were my realtors in my search for a home-office-sanctuary in North County San Diego. My primary work was with Dennis who literally went "the extra hundred miles." Because I was living in Hawaii, and because I had a lot of specific and unique needs, Dennis wound up having to drive all around north county to see in person if a house and property would fit my needs. I felt that Dennis did a great job in understanding my needs and giving me an honest evaluation of every property he went to see. I never felt that he was trying to push a property off on me but since it was challenging for me to tell from the pictures, I thought that Dennis did a great job of fully understanding my unique needs and then searching in all of my preferred areas. When he found a property that might work, he scheduled with me for a time to go back and him do a walkthrough with his camera while I zoomed in from Hawaii to view. I know this was quite laborious for Dennis but he persisted with a consistently chipper attitude that I often complimented him on. He retook all the measurements for my added benefit, got me copies of the floor plans and the other relevant information and was thorough in every aspect. I also benefited from Dennis being very knowledgeable about north San Diego County and also very knowledgeable about other areas of San Diego that I was possibly interested in. His communication and availability was excellent and I feel I am a good judge of that as I value that in my work. I consistently felt that he was loyal to me and what would serve me best rather than trying to make a relatively quick sale. We went into escrow a couple of times and Dennis and Sunshine we excellent helping me with all the paperwork as I had many other things going on simultaneously - including some major surgeries and still being the Founder-Director-Owner and a primary Instructor of an adult vocational college. His/their organization of all the paperwork and follow-ups were distinct added benefits. Also, after close of escrow, I received excellent follow-up service. I could go on and on about the many enjoyable benefits of working with Dennis and Sunshine. As I frequently said to them, I felt deep professional appreciation and always extended profound Blessings to both of them! Sincerely and appreciatively, Steve Schechter - now new owner in Carlsbad/North San Diego County, CA.
