During the years she lived at this assisted living facility, she received loving and compassionate care from the staff. Her caregivers were all excellent as well as the the chef, maintenance man, hair stylist and director, Wendy. I consider those staff members who have stayed in board and worked tirelessly with the residents at Paramount to keep them happy and well during the challenging times of the Covid pandemic super heroes. I also so appreciated how kind the staff members were to me and other family members who would stop in to visit grandma. I really think Paramount Parks is one of the best assisted living facilities in Idaho. It's clean, beautifully decorated and in a wonderful location as well. My grandma had nurses from Signature Hospice care for her the last year of her life. Two of those nurses told me that they think Paramount Parks is one of the best facilities in the valley and that really meant a lot since they see patients who reside in many different facilities.

In Feb 2017 my Mother (in very cliché stlye) fell down her home stairs & broke her hip. After…read moresurgery )Dr Wells @ St Lukes...he is amazing) & rehabilitation @ Aspen Rehabilitation center (see my review on them. For the most part they were Pretty awesome) then she needed assisted-living until she could get strong enough to go home. It was very important for the siblings to easily visit her, so location was a high priority. After a lot of research and high recommendations we chose Paramount Parks in Eagle. We could not be happier!! This is due, in large part, to Jennifer Hoffman who does a fantastic job helping to run Paramount. She has been exemplary in all her actions and has gone above and beyond all of our hopeful expectations. She helped to make the transition painless, simple and actually kind of fun for Mom. Jenn sets the precedents for the rest of her staff. They are attentive, kind, and on top of the needs of their "family" at Paramount. Mom says she loves the food & having choices (it's not my favorite place to eat but I'm a spoiled foodie, and since she's the one eating there, we are both happy! ) They have the usual activities that most of the nicer places have. But also stand out in other areas, like having a Memory Care Center on site. It is totally separate and very secure. So Nice to know, if ever needed, it would be an easy transition. Mom and the family have been very happy with Paramount Parks. We feel so much gratitude and appreciation towards Paramount Parks. Highly recommend it.

Elks Wound Care Center - Waiting area

Diagnosis of a corn under each of 2 shortened toes. Both feet. So painful. My dr. sent me to…read moreWound Care. This is a very busy office. Yet those in the room with me were personable, professional and we even shared a joke! No need for gloom and doom. Life's too short. Klaas H. Vanden Beld was my provider. He was very serious about my feet, gave me new information on care, and was a great all-around guy. We share Netherlands roots, so that was a fun aside. My toes have been 'released' to Tending Toes and his job is finished except for any call of concern from me in the future. Otherwise, Klass wished me well, as I do him. Thanks to all for your concern and healing hands. Very much appreciated.

I first visited the Elk Wound Care Center in 2007 for help with the healing of a surgical wound…read more Thanks to a skin condition of mine, healing is a bit of an issue at times. Because of this I have had several instances of needing their assistance. I was not using Yelp back then, but now that I've had a need of the services of the folks at the Elks, I can share with others my experiences. First let me say, that like most other services that you wind up needing because of illness or injury, you get out of the experience what you put into it. Going in unwilling to relax or be cooperative, or unwilling to be proactive about your own treatment can make the experience less than pleasant. Medical necessity is what it is. The wound care center can be difficult to find because it is not a stand alone facility, it is located on the first floor or the Idaho Elks Rehabilitation Hospital. The easiest way to gain access to the clinic is to park on the south side of the building near the little round theater. The parking lot has spaces designated for patients that is fairly convenient to the building. Go in the door marked Entrance 3 and down the hall. When you enter the offices, you will be warmly greeted. Seating is comfortable in the waiting area where you'll find water and coffee available. Be warned that because they are about the most comprehensive wound care possible, your visit won't be a quick in and out- you are establishing a patient/provider relationship, and the initial steps are crucial to your overall care. Those needed express help with wound healing cannot expect overnight results, so the bonds you forge with those who will be helping in the process are important. Ask questions and ask that things be repeated if you don't fully understand. The staff at the Elks is loaded with people who communicate well and go out of their way to see that your needs are met and that you are as comfortable as you can be during the process. I HAVE experienced assisted healing with other providers in the Treasure Valley from doctors, surgeons and other wound care professionals. I'm so thankful to know that the Elks are an option, for me they are the only option. If you have need of help with wound healing, ask your doctor about a referral to the Elks Wound Care Center, you (and your body) will be glad you did.
