We have great insurance so I had no doubts it would be very expensive after the initial visit and I was sure they would warn me ahead of time if it was very pricey. When I got there we filled out paperwork, gave insurance info, and then had therapy. We LOVE the therapist Christina as she is very knowledgeable about what she does and how to help her patients. I would still be taking her if the financial situation of this office was any better. After the first visit we were told we were good to go so we scheduled again and left (assuming insurance took care of it since nobody talked to me about it). The second time after our visit with Christina (appts are about 45 mins) I was getting ready to leave and the office lady stopped me letting me know I owe almost $500 for both visits since I didn't pay last time. Ummm.. why was I not contacted ahead of time and why was prices not mentioned before beginning? Being someone who didn't just have the extra cash I had to put it on a credit card because they refused payment plans. I felt very upset I wasn't talked to about this and HAD to pay right then since no payments could be set up. I have personally worked up front in a medical office and before the patients appt has started I would have called the insurance or looked it up online and figured out what they will cover and discuss with the patient ASAP or at least discussed the possible prices before they went back to see the doctor. The office was nice and cozy, people were nice, just very bummed of the prices. I think payment plans should be accepted if this was going to be so pricey as this is a service to help our children excel and progress with development.

At the time, during my court order to attend outpatient treatment, I was not mentally or spiritually ready to commit my life to sobriety so once I graduated and got off probation I did go back into my darkness of addiction. It took me a year to claim my life back after witnessing my best friend die from the same disease that was slowly killing me. I reverted back to what Ascent taught me. Im so grateful to be celebrating my 6 months and attending school to become a social worker myself. I am responsible for my sobriety, not my family, not ascent or the court system. The support they offer is so magical and has worked years after I attended and I am forever grateful for this . THANK YOU ASCENT.
