She was ran into a wall by a nurse (complete accident) and her leg hit the wall and long story short, they broke her leg in a different location. They did not inform anyone of what happened and still have not. We wouldn't have known if my grandma hadn't said anything. No one is taking accountability and trying to place blame everywhere else. Very disappointing. The facility and staff seem very kind and considerate however every time I have gone in. The facility is clean. I really wish this accident didn't happen otherwise I'd have a much different review.

After this happened a second time in two weeks I asked to speak to an owner. She told me that it was MY fault, even when I provided her ample evidence otherwise, she then interrupted me as I was trying to provide evidence that the screw ups were theirs, she said, " We could rehash this all day but what is the point ?" in a rude snarky voice. This was the last straw for me, after pulling myself out of work, my child out of class, and driving all over the county only to find my appointments nonexistent twice in two weeks, she had the nerve to not only not apologize but to blame me and interrupt me. My issue is with the front office. I have 6 year old triplets. Anytime, I have had to cancel appointments due to sickness, including Covid. I was apparently breaking an attendance policy, even though I would have my son do teletherapy, when it was possible. All of my absences were excused. Or 24 hour wait notice was given. I feel like there is no flexibility if you have scheduled changes to the set appointment time. We were given notice the afternoon before my son's next appointment that we could no longer come to the center because we broke the attendance policy.

She also told me just to ignore any others bills. It's now been another 5 months and I have now gotten a bill from a collection agency. It's not worth the hassle - Go Somewhere Else if you can.

Working for Brightstar has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've had in caregiving. The…read morebiggest issues are at Prickly and Summerset -- those houses are by far the worst. The house administrators don't do their jobs and leave most of the responsibilities on 18-20-year-olds who barely have proper training or experience with real caregiving. These are residents who deserve experienced, attentive care, and instead the workload gets dumped on young, overwhelmed staff while management stays in the office or disappears. When concerns are voiced or when staff ask for help to protect the residents and themselves, management doesn't listen or try to fix anything. Instead, they jump straight to threats or firing. There's no support, no accountability, and no true leadership -- just blame being pushed down onto the caregivers who are already doing more than they should. Residents deserve real care. Staff deserve proper training, leadership, and respect. Brightstar, especially at Prickly and Summerset, fails at all of that.
