I opted to try these folks as they were just inside the entryway of Sooner Mall. The "window front" was very appealing. Various tv's with various sports and a friendly atmosphere. I only wish they accepted appointments, you must take a number and wait. However, the wait is usually short. Over the last several years, I used a particular hairdresser at a hair salon. This is the first time I've used a barbershop in YEARS. This has become my go to place and cannot recommend them enough!

Response: Its hard to resolve something when they took off 3 extra inches that was not asked for. As well as i only noticed the butchering of the length today as i tried to style it. As a business owner that is an embarrassing and childish response to a complaint. A wonderful reflection of the standards that you uphold to your customers.

I say this because "Bill" and those who survive him and work there have perfected the tradition of being a barber. This does not mean that they can just perfectly cut hair, but that they also form connections and bonds with those they care for. For example this was my first hair cut in Oklahoma, and not only was it perfect, but I learned they had known of my Grandfather, and Grandmother before their passing. Both who lived in Norman, and raised kids here, and lived their life. I have lived my life thousands of miles away, and I arrive here to find remnants of my family and hopefully a new family. Also a great place to get a hair cut.

I had found Fitzgerald's in a yelp search and figured we'd be in good shape based on several reviews. Immediately upon entering, one of the guys greeted us and asked how they could help us. We were in town for a funeral and needed some help getting into presentable shape. I had about a week of road trip overgrowth on my usually bald head and trimmed beard. My dad had a couple weeks of overgrowth in his beard and patchy spots on his head. (He has trouble using his head shaver as an 80 year old Parkinson's patient) Baba took care of us, shaving my dad's face and head, then lining up my patchy beard with a nice fade to hide the bald spots. I'm really happy with the results and will certainly return if I find myself in OKC in the future. Music was good, maybe loud for some but I enjoyed it. We had a good conversation while Baba worked. My dad and I both enjoyed our visit. He had been missing his barber from back home and I hadn't been in a barber's chair since high school. I'm inspired to find us a barber shop when we get back to San Diego. I can't line myself up like this, and I never knew what I was missing with barber shops. Thanks Baba!
