If you want to spend too much on a mediocre (at best depending on who you get) haircut this is your place. Be talked down to! Have bigoted conversations forced upon you while not having your hair touched because they are too busy talking. Extend the time you're in the chair threefold! I went here a long time, and was generous with what I let them do to my hair. I'd always tip, even when it looked like garbage. I went there long enough to know it's unreliable in quality, overpriced, and on occasion a very toxic environment (more so recently). read more

If I could put less than a star I would. Don't take your kids there ! Very unprofessional with kids. I called before going in and ask if they take my kids and I told them there ages and they said yes $15 on each kid. When I went in she was very mean with them and she ended up doing one of my boys because she had other customers and she was about to close and didn't want to take my other child , pluses she toke $20 read more

This place is a legend. I say this not because they made me look and feel good, but because there is a deep history within this establishment. I say this because "Bill" and those who survive him and work there have perfected the tradition of being a barber. This does not mean that they can just perfectly cut hair, but that they also form connections and bonds with those they care for. For example this was my first hair cut in Oklahoma, and not only was it perfect, but I learned they had known of my Grandfather, and Grandmother before their passing. Both who lived in Norman, and raised kids here, and lived their life. I have lived my life thousands of miles away, and I arrive here to find remnants of my family and hopefully a new family. Always worries waking into a new Barber Shop. Butt as I'm on the road frequently, it doesn't leave me much option beyond waking around looking scraggly...I went in, was made to feel right at home. Exactly what I was looking for. Walked in and asked if they took walk-ins and was told "of course." Donna comes out from the back and tells me a story about what she'd just been watching, some goofy video, and she's cracking up. Anyways, I get my standard - 1 1/2 on top, high fade, with skin on the side. Donna takes care of that, and then breaks out the hot shaving cream and straight razor, and finishes the shave with hot towels and aftershave - AMAZING! I have been going to Bill's for 45 years give or take. I used Bill for the first 15 years. Then, I have used Martha for the past 30 years and I use Donna for the past 10 years (as a back-up when Martha is gone or is busy). Just the simple fact of someone using the same place since they were a kid should indicate it is a good place to use. Staff is arrogant and does not listen to personal requests. First time going they refused to let me keep my sideburns. Second time, the lady took it upon herself to trim my eyebrows (I never asked her to do this) and they are extremely short and thin. The only thing they can do is a buzz cut.
