Was my go to for a haircut. But my stylist just stopped caring. I don't recommend this establishment for your haircuts.

Walk ins welcome here. Athena helped me out an hour before close for an interview tomorrow. read more

Amy's Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Moore, Oklahoma

I was spending a few days exploring around Oklahoma City along my summer 2021 road trip and after being all over the United States for a few months...I was in desperate need of a haircut! I happen to be in a small little town outside OKC, in a place called Moore and after eating at Dunkin Donuts for breakfast nearby, I randomly discovered Amy's Barber Shop through Google Maps. It also happened to be on an early Saturday in September when about 10 miles away from here in Moore, the Oklahoma Sooners were hosting a college football game in Norman. So...here I was at Amy's where she sat me down immediately for a quick cut. Amy mentioned how when the Sooners are playing football, the entire area becomes a ghost town. I didn't have to wait for a chair...where normally you put your name down on a first come, first served list. I guess I got lucky because it sounds like they normally can get busy...especially for a Saturday weekend morning. Amy asked what I'd like. I mentioned just clean the entire thing up, lol, and she understood. I was probably in the barber's chair for no more than 15 minutes. Across from Amy's station was a gentleman giving haircuts as well. It was the two of them. Speaking with Amy, she's a veteran of the armed services...and when she told me that...I was really glad I found her shop and was sitting down here. I take great pride in our country for all the men and women who bravely sacrifice their lives to go out to battle and protect our country and freedoms. If I lived in Moore or OKC...I'd be a regular here at Amy's for sure. After Amy finished...I asked how much? Amy said $10. $10? Really? That's the most affordable haircut I may have ever received! I'm from South Florida where there's no place around that charges $10 for a quality cut! This place was a gem! I gladly handed Amy $20 and told her to keep the change. And btw...Amy only accepts cash. No credit cards which is fine, because...who doesn't at least carry around $10 plus extra for a tip these days? Surprisingly, there are people who carry around zero cash with them. Overall, I'm happy I came to Amy for a haircut. I highly recommend her and hope everyone out there can help support small businesses especially ones like Amy's...who's a veteran of the military community and deserves to be recognized. read more

Amy's Barber Shop - Amy's is located on the corner of a small retail plaza in Moore, Oklahoma. - Barbers Near Me - Moore, Oklahoma

Made the impulsive decision to get a hair cut on a hot day and of course, every barber/salon is booked for hours. Doesn't seem to be the place to get super busy so a walk in may be a 10-15 minute wait. Went from a mullet to a clean cut look for work. I don't think they have set prices. $20 wasn't bad for the cut but he did cut my ear and definitely didn't say anything about it. Wasn't until I got to my car afterwards and i had blood on my hand that I noticed. Pretty cool little shop, would probably recommend if your on a time crunch and in moore. read more

Staff is rude. Not patient with children either. Would not recommend this place. It's cheap, but for good reason, go spend a little a little more for a better haircut & friendlier experience. read more

First time going to this shop. Athena cut my hair. She totally ignored when I told her how i wanted it cut. I wanted it med length and I showed her how long. She then buzz cut my hair at about 1/4 inch. She also raised my hair line on the back of my neck to an embarrassing heigth. The absolute worst hair cut I have ever had. Everyone asks me if I cut my hair myself. I have to wear a hat for the next 3 months. The other 2 barbers I'm sure are alot better. read more

Finally! Finally! A place where we can get my son a decent hair cut! We always use Jerold. He is seriously the sweetest man and does so well with our son. He is kind and gentle. The other two barbers in there are also so kind. I assume the female is Amy. I have not caught the other male there, but he is also very kind and all three engage in conversation with their customers. I have watched all three cut hair and they all do a great job! The location is perfect for us. read more

I'm glad I stopped by Amy's Barber Shop today to get a haircut. I've been a faithful customer of Twin Cuts on 19th street since 2001 or so, but had to start looking around for another shop since they closed up. I went to a few places, and one seemed more of a beauty salon type and wanted me to make an appointment and the chemical smell really killed me, so I didn't bother and another place was closed even though I arrived in between there posted hours. I realized then just how good I had it at Twin Cuts. On the third stop of my quest for a decent haircut I decided to stop by Amy's and see what this was about. Wow, finally I found a actual barber shop that was open and actually had 3 barbers in it, and get this they were cutting hair!! When I stepped in everybody said hello and I sat down waited 5 min or so and bam I was in a chair getting my hair cut. Not only did I get my hair cut, it was Amy herself who gave me a haircut. It was such a great experience and a relaxed environment, I told her about being a former customer of Twin Cuts and she welcomed me in and said she had few new people come from there. She told me about her shop and about the other barbers that where there and how much experience they have. She told me their names but I'm terrible with names, but I'm sure I'll get to know them soon because I'll be coming back here to MY barber shop again!! So, to the Twin Cuts faithful that are still looking, look no further, give Amy and the guys a try, you won't be disappointed!!! Oh, BTW--my hair looks great!! read more

Very disappointed. My family came here last month for the first time. This time around I decided to join them and get my hair cut as well because I recently shaved my hair off because of my moms recent cancer diagnosis. So I just wanted the edges cleaned up by someone. Waited over 45 minutes just to be asked by Amy if she has done my hair. I said no so she says she's not taking any new female clients. I then proceeded to say that it's buzzed, all I needed was it cleaned up. She said it didn't matter, she's not taking female clients. What's funny is last month she said she could do my hair when she was asked. So this is ridiculous and very upsetting. No reasoning other than I am a female. What?!. Needless to say, we will not be returning our services here ever again! Just awful. read more

Great barber shop, very friendly staff, and a great price. Jerold was my barber today and he did an excellent job. Nice conversation, didn't take forever, and very pleased with the results. One advice, they only take cash. read more

Amy does awesome cuts. Highly recommend her if you have boys. We've been taking our son since his first haircut. He loves her!

Read the reviews sounded great but showed up and it was closed. Hours show it's open but no one was in. No sign letting possible customers that they were either closed for lunch or holiday nothing. read more

Terrific staff and pleasant environment. Gerald has been cutting my hair since I moved to Moore several years ago.
