if i could rate it worse than a one star i would, the only good thing was the price. what i asked for is nothing like what i got when i included mutiple images of myself with the hair and explained it to top it off my hair was over a inch in length difference from my left side to my right side in random areas. i highly highly do not recommend this place it is a joke. Response: Its hard to resolve something when they took off 3 extra inches that was not asked for. As well as i only noticed the butchering of the length today as i tried to style it. Asked for a medium drop fade, ended up with the highest fade I've ever gotten in my life so far up it cuts into the top, no drop, not even a fade. Can't even style my hair cause the top looks so terrible. read more

Asked for a mid drop skin fade from the lady. She gives me a fade similar to a high fade. She also doesn't blend well and doesn't do c cups. Not sure why it would be considered a "barber shop" if someone like her is working there. It felt like she was inexperienced with fades. It was the worst experience I have ever had in a butcher (barber) shop. May be the lady was new but she didn't go to barber school. I bad to go to another shop to get it redid. This barber could not do a lot to fix it but he had to trim some off so I would not look so bad. read more

I've been going to Sports clips and great clips for a while now and I got tired of having a mediocre haircut at best. Midway fixes you right up. Whatever it is you want they can do and they also throw a little of their own style to make you look your best. When you go there will be a little of a wait but it's worth it in the end. I have no idea why this place hasn't had a Yelp page created, so I'll do the honors and write the first review on these guys. This place is freaking awesome. It truly is a authentic barber shop. They don't take appointments. So its first come first serve. I came as a busy time where all the chairs were filled up and waited about 20-30 mins, but I can say it was fun waiting listening to the conversations going on. It's also cash only, so no credit cards. The guy I got to cut my hair was awesome. I told him what I wanted and he knew how I liked my hair and I didn't feel rushed or anything. It's fun in the chair talking to the other guys about random stuff. You defiantly feel apart of something when you go. The quality of the haircut was great. They trim you up with sheers and scissors and then they put hot shaving cream and straight razor to trim your neck. Never had that done before but it was great. At the end of the cut they give you a massage on your shoulders and upper back which felt really good. Final price for the haircut is 13$. I tipped 7$, so 20$ and absolutely worth it. I will defiantly be returning. The diner is next door too so you can get something good to eat after! 5 stars all the way! read more

They're open at 8:00, that's awesome. I was there a few minutes before, one man was already giving cuts. Two other barbers walked in at 8:00 and went straight to work. Good conversation but not overbearing. Many of the customers that entered were greeted by name. For $15 you get a great cut, straight razor trim on the back of the neck and behind the ears (with hot shaving cream), and a shoulder/ neck massage. Be sure to bring cash. read more

Took my 83yo dad in for a haircut. They don't do appointments so we had to wait quite a while, but the guy that cut dad's hair was awesome and worth the wait! Dad has dementia so rambles a lot but his barber took it all in stride, giving him a little extra attention and a great haircut! Def will go back. Love that this place has been around since before statehood and they are very proud of that fact! Shop was full of young college age guys getting their hair cut so not just for old (but young at heart) guys like my dad. read more

Honestly, I'm probably never going to another hair cutting service in Norman after here. I've always been a fan of barber shops and this one is the best in Norman. They straight-razor shave around your neck and ears that makes your cut look real clean. They also are current on modern hairstyles, which is a nice for a shop around here. Asked the barber to touch up my fade; instead I ended up with a completely different hairstyle. The hair on top was perfect and now it's hard to do anything with. I went from being able to comb it back and to one side and now it's a fohawk. read more
