TL;DR: Brianna is AMAZING and you should absolutely book her to do anything to your hair, especially for color! I started seeing Brianna in February when I decided to take the plunge and get a "geode" style balayage done for the first time ever. I've never gotten my hair professionally dyed so I did a ton of research, but I ended up finding Brianna spontaneously when I asked the girl in front of me in line at Starbucks who did her hair because it was EXACTLY what I was looking to get done (LOL). She gave me Brianna's number to contact her and said that she's the only hairdresser that's been able to keep her hair healthy while bleaching and coloring it -- that in fact, it was healthier AFTER she started having her work on it! SOLD. I contacted Brianna and it was simple to set up a time. We had a free color consultation prior to any actual appointments, and I showed her some inspo pics of what I was looking for. She explained that since my hair had never been bleached before, it would be a good idea to start with a warmer toned balayage since a more purple/blue toned color would require a lighter bleached shade which is attained after a multiple bleaches, which would increase the damage to my hair if I decide to do that first. But, it could be done later on down the line once my hair has had time to heal from the initial bleach. Um, THANK YOU for looking out for my hair health! That's one of the biggest reasons why I love her; she really strives to keep your hair healthy while coloring/bleaching. We settled on a lightened full balayage, rose gold. She provided me with a quote for the service and didn't pressure me to sign up for an appointment. Her prices are competitive and on par with the area. Brianna gave me a really good overview of the timelines for everything being done on my hair, what to expect, how to care for it post-dye and even gave product suggestions. She was suuuuper patient with me when I asked a billion questions about the process out of curiosity, like what exactly she was using and how it did X Y and Z. I like to know how things work. She made a custom blend of colors for me and made sure to write it down for future appointments! She even was so kind as to teach me how to style my new hair cut since I'd never had a cut where I needed to style it in the morning. A+ service! I cannot stress this enough -- I CONSTANTLY am getting compliments on my color job. It's healthy, vibrant, and definitely aged well into a soft rose gold, which is exactly how I wanted it to age; Brianna even adjusted my dye recipe after the first balayage, after I gave her feedback on how the dye job aged over time. She is warm, welcoming, and so so soooo sweet. Part of me doesn't want to let people in on the secret so I can keep her for myself (tee hee) but this lady deserves to SHINE. Brianna is amazing! I've been following her since she was at Carlton hair salon inside of mainplace. I love that she has her independent shop now in downtown Santa Ana-it's so cute! She was the first person to color my hair EVER and I wanted a subtle ombré so she did a beautiful ombré/balayage that melted and blended perfectly! I think most of these reviews are from friend and family. That said, I decided to give them a call to request rates and availability. I left a message and am still waiting 2 days later for a call back. Even if they have magic shears and out of this world coloring ability, how would a potential customer know if the business never calls or answers their business line? I applaud her for leaving her mall job (per another reviewer) and start her own business, but if she's a business owner, she should act like one and, you know, have some customer service, otherwise there won't be any new clients because they would never be able to talk to her. Hopefully, she pays attention to reviews and feedback because so far, the experience has been unimpressive to say the least, and as for Instagram pics, I am wary of them because of so many stylist uploading pics that aren't theirs, but that's neither here nor there.
