They speak to you in a condescending manner at the Brentwood office It's as if you are a bother. Staff is always very busy to follow up on prescription orders which can endanger your life. Why? So I have pulminiary referal and they scheduled me wth their cardiologist. Fyi, i also had a referal for cardiologist but was for a doctor office closer to where i lived. I was guessing they were like this because they didnt get both referals that they didnt want any so after changing my appointment day to the day the proper doctor would be in, they apparently also somewhere along the way changed the time of apppintment too but they only said the day was changed. So now, on that new morning I had alerts from my chart saying time to go to apt at 10am when appoint was scheduled for 230pm and my travel time there is over an hour. They told me i had to pay 50.00 same day cancelation fee if i still wanted to be seen in their office.. I then asked for a manager given all the rescheduling and mistakes made on their end and they told me they cant waive anything so, after a week and a half to end up like this then come here to see the other similar reviews tells me i want to be seen somewhere else so i told my Primary Care about it and they are setting up a refferal for a different provider. Beware!!

I have searched for a very long time to find a physician like Dr Campbell. He's knowledge,…read moreattentive, respects my opinion and feelings. I am a very complicated case that does not have a happy ending. He jumped right in and cleaned up the mess the other providers made. All while being a man of his word and action. If you want a doctor that is going to listen to BS or powder your fannie, that isn't him. It's very disheartening that so many people speak of him so sharply and list all of these ill qualities but give no basis or example. Also that they have resorted to making fun of him being a Scott. So many opinionated racists out there that are not satisfied with themselves and will never be satisfied with a real provider. His front office staff is horrible. A couple of rude, fat, lazy slags. His office manager is wonderful and interfaces with him incredibly. His medical assistants are on top of things because his standards are high. There's nothing wrong with that. There is nothing wrong with Dr. Campbell. He's been the provider that I have hoped he would be, every step of the way.

In fact, the office called and said she was ready 15 min EARLY. That never happened with in person appointments. Dr. Albrink ordered several preventative tests. Some I had not had in many years. The information was good to have. It was recommended that I no longer needed one test annually anymore. She made some holistic recommendations for some small concerns I had rather than prescribing medications. I was amazed at the quality of our conversations as well. As of now the practice is not seeing anyone in the office unless it is really necessary. Each doctor works specific days. The office staff is AMAZING. I needed a 10 day supply of a prescription until my mail order started and I was taken care of the same day. All notes were sent to My Chart (John Muir portal) the same day. Bottom line: They are great and I cannot wait to meet face to face.

Doctors are not in the office on a daily basis. My doctor is only in on Thursdays. It took 3…read more months to get a Wellness appointment. During the appointment, the doctor sits across the room and most of the 15 minutes is spent with the doctor fooling around with the computer app and was more concerned with getting a POLST form filled out. She ordered lab work based on my meds. I asked for a urine test--she said they are no longer automatically part of the Wellness exam--I requested the test. My lab results had some issues and they were not properly addressed by the doctor. I called the office, wanting to talk to the doctor, but she does not take phone calls so the front desk gave me a phone appointment with the PA. The PA said I must talk to the Dr. who ordered the lab work. So, now, I have to wait another month to talk with the Dr. At least the PA did order the additional lab work. Prior to this experience, there have been issues with meds and referrals. I guess if you have no health issues, this type of care would work for you.

What I like about Dr. Kassels is that he truly cares about what he does for your health. The science of medicine moves forward at a rapid pace. So, I take it as a very good sign that he takes a look at the most recent information on the Internet about what he is prescribing, especially if it is for a condition that is less common. There were literally about 8 that he could prescribe. He carefully questioned me, then listened to my answers. His two prescriptions were spot on! I have been a patient of his for over 10 years in both his Concord and Brentwood offices. I see him every three months and do the labs he asks for every three months. When my labs results drift a bit showing numbers toward the unhealthy range, he gets me back on track. Yes, he has shown "attitude" in the past, but he has mellowed quite a bit in the past year. He absolutely knows what good medicine is -- and it shows in my health and well-being. If you want a doctor that cares about doing it right (kind of like the doctors did decades ago), go see Dr. Kassels and show him some respect. Listen to his questions and stop complaining about his wanting to see you more often or the delay in the waiting room. Your health is much more important than that!
