I stopped by to get x-rays and have my teeth exam and I was getting ready to hear a lot of bad news. Knowing that I had not visited the dentist in about 8 to 10 years I knew that there would be work that would be needed to be completed.. The dentist was very helpful with letting me know the severity of it, but at the same time showed optimism and made me feel comfortable. Not only are we looking into the repairment of my tooth but also he explained to me the things that would be needed to be done in order to restore my teeth. I had plaque built up and my gums were very swollen with numbers high as fives and six which is not great and he explained to me that it would take a few appointments of deep cleaning and laser treatment in order to restore them. The appointments that I've had with them have been painless, and they have always made me feel comfortable while visiting them. This really helped me overcome my fear of visiting in the dentist and I actually do look forward to seeing them for my next appointment. Thank you Downey family dental, Dr. Nguy and the rest of the team for not only making it a seamless and positive experience, but truly helping me get my teeth restored!

The front office staff were incredibly professional and helpful . they took the time to clearly explain our dental benefits and made the entire process stress-free. The dental assistants were so kind and caring while taking our X-rays. They were gentle, friendly, and made us feel completely comfortable. Both of The Doctors ( Dr.Nguy & Dr.No) were absolutely wonderful! not only knowledgeable and professional, but also hilarious! There was a fun little rivalry between one being a proud alum of UCLA and the other from USC which made the visit even more enjoyable and hilarious . You can tell they genuinely care about their patients and about the work they do. Overall, such a positive experience. I truly appreciate the kindness, professionalism, and great energy of the entire team. Highly recommend! We will be seeing you guys soon for our plan of care treatment

It was the worst timing since I was a couple weeks away from leaving the country and also getting married in a month. I was afraid of the possible complications that may occur if I did any major treatment now on my tooth. But the pain was unbearable so I knew I had to seek treatment right away. Being as I'm a dentist myself I knew it was absolutely imperative to find the right doctor to work on my upper front tooth. I was referred by a dental colleague of mine and am so happy that she sent me to Downey Endo. The doctor (who I unfortunately forgot his name) was so thorough and professional. We had a long discussion and reviewed X-rays together and I appreciated that he had the patience to go over all the risks and benefits for doing treatment. I never felt pressured into doing treatment at all and he was empathetic to my situation. I went ahead and got treatment done that same day and it was the best dental experience I ever had. Easier than the only filling I ever got when I was 12. His numbing technique was spot on (didn't feel a thing). I was comfortable the entire time. And I noticed he took his time doing my root canal which I appreciated. I had one day of gum soreness and pain but after that my tooth felt normal again. I can't thank Downey Endo enough for treating my tooth before my wedding and would not hesitate to go back again if I ever needed another root canal or to refer my own patients.

I sat there 40 minutes to find out she never saw my appointment. According to her it's next week. Two problems, first of all why lie about what you saw on the computer. Secondly, why have me wait to ask if I don't mind being seen by someone else, to then change your mind and tell me I need to reschedule to next week. If you've ever been nervous about getting a root canal, this should tell you everything you need to know about Dr. Ferraro's skill and gentle approach. The reason I'm writing this review today, though, is because we received a check in the mail for an overpayment we had made. They could have easily kept the money, and we never would have known the difference. Instead, Dr. Ferraro and his staff took the time to identify the overpayment and proactively mail us a refund.
