The office is small but when I got in it was nice to see NatGeo playing on the TV, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The wait was long but it looks like she's the only doctor there and gives everyone the time they need to be heard. I'm fine waiting for someone who will listen. She took my concerns and what I had researched on my own into consideration and agreed with the diagnostic; I've had nerves tested and MRIs but she was the first test hotspots for pain for Fibro. She listened, that's the most important thing to me, that she listened and asked what I wanted from this visit. The blood work was another wait but the phlebotomist was excellent, no pain save some discomfort for the amount of blood having to get done but she was fast and efficient. Honestly, I'm really happy here so far. Yes the waits are long but like I said, I'd rather a long wait and get a doctor who takes time to listen than one that just rushes through everyone.

They take the matter into their own hands and let the sun shine on each child along with their family members/loved ones. Children's Hospital in LA is the first and largest pediatric hospital in Southern California. One of my friend's 10 year old son has been in this hospital for the past week and I wanted to go see him. I went there today and even took few balloons along with teddy bear to cheer him up. He was diagnosed with a serious illness that she doesn't want to disclose. So, I respect my friend's confidentiality and will not be discussing her son's condition. When I got there today, the nurse was checking his temperature along with the other vitals. It wasn't a pretty scene to see this little boy suffering. Then a minute later, they brought him some food for him to eat. He was having trouble eating. His mom and the nurse helped him sit up to have leverage so he can eat. As I was getting ready to leave, the doctor came in and the rest I will find out once..hopefully soon, he will be discharged from this lovely, wonderful hospital. They accept all method of payments.. Everyone in the hospital was very nice, helpful, caring, reliable, and understanding. They have a gift shop, cafeteria, healing room, prayer center,& a HUGE parking lot. Everything was SPOTLESS CLEAN. Thank you all, and I hope he will feel better, have a speedy recovery and may GOD bless and take care of everyone's kids.:-)! Amen!!!!!

We had to be admitted through the ER. We got there at 8:30 am after driving more than 4 1/2 hrs. We had to leave our house around 4 am. No one in the ER had one clue about why we were there, even though our doctors office called them AND faxed the admitting info over. After an hour of going back and forth they finally found it. The ER nurse decided to start an IV. She kept missing veins, poking, prodding until blood went all over my sons arm and sheets. He was pretty upset, to be expected. He's 6. The nurse was young and had major attitude and absolutely no bedside manner with kids or their parents. She acted like it was our fault she was crappy at starting IVs. My son didn't complain one iota nor did he move, flinch or wince as she poked and prodded him. We were told later by the upstairs surgical nurse that they are never to put IVs in the kids in the ER before surgery, they wait until they're upstairs and almost ready to go to the operating room because of kids becoming traumatized or scared by the IV. She said they give an oral relaxant/sedative first and the IV last. We waited all day and got moved from one floor to another. No one had a clue wth was going on. He didn't have surgery until 9 pm THAT NIGHT! 12 HOURS LATER. He wasn't able to eat. He had the IV in the entire time and we were all completely exhausted. The CT tech, the OR nurses, the post OP nurses, the surgeons/doctors are all wonderful. The ER staff and nurses, not so much. The admitting staff in ER are horrible, not friendly, and clueless. The front desk in the main lobby are rude, as well, and the wait is ridiculous. Plus, if you're going to tell patient families only one parent per patient and no siblings, then stick to that rule! Because we saw MANY families with multiple kids going upstairs etc. I also feel if you're not ethnic, as in hispanic, you're pretty much treated like crap by the admitting staff/front desk staff/parking staff. The Hispanic staff had no issues allowing multiple Hispanic family members upstairs while we were told my sons twin brother couldn't even come in to use the restroom?! A hospital that does alot of good for kids, but definitely needs to re-train their office/support staff and ER. Also needs a major rehaul and renovation! Lots of peeling paint, cracked walls, rooms look dingy and dirty and outdated. And don't bother complaining to anyone because they simply don't care! Also, I know it's downtown LA but the area outside the hospital is very sketchy.

It was to the point where I felt like my calves were bursting and couldn't really wear pants. I saw a neurologist, vein, cardiologist, and even went to physical therapist and did every exam under the moon and no one could figure my pain out. I got the point where I threw so much money at doing all sorts of exams, I really had nothing to lose by visiting a chiropractor to help manage my pain. BEST DECISION EVER. After a session with Dr Levy, the pain started to subside. After a few sessions, the pain was subsiding in longer time increments. Now, I have general relief. No more calf pain after long-haul flights, and I don't have the kind of activity restrictions I used to anymore. I can go on long-haul flights knowing my calves won't kill me and can sit for longer periods of time without worrying about my legs swelling up. Dr Levy does more than just back adjustments. She also recommended really high quality supplements and magnesium creams and honestly, they have been helping me maintain my calf inflammation in between sessions. Highly recommend Dr. Levy. I had originally been referred to UCLA by Cedar Sinai Due to my severe gastrointestinal issues. They needed to get me into motility ASAP and only UCLA had that type of ability at that time. I was also notified that UCLA had a cardiac electrophysiology team, which is extremely rare and something I definitely need. I then went to find out about pain management because I was having problems with my previous pain management doctor not putting in authorizations and making some very serious mistakes. I went to UCLA Santa Monica to see the Head Of pain management who told me to get Primary through UCLA and get on palliative care for my pain management. from day one I was gaslit. Instead of me being referred to palliative care I was sent to a pain management Doctor Who said it was only fibromyalgia and that I didn't have any records. It was crazy! I came in with a stack of medical records! It was like she didn't hear a word I said or look at any of my medical records...(she was denying that I had any autoimmune diseases, even though I had records with me stating proof otherwise). From day one she immediately started titrating my dose. Lowering my meds to the point where I ended up having major problems with my heart and more, even after Cardiac electrophysiology stated very clearly that my uncontrolled pain was the direct cause of my heart stopping, my pain management doctor still refused to increase my dose to where it needed to be as determined by pain management at UCLA Ronald Reagan campus, and even went as far as to cut it even further! I was just asking for my medication to be brought back to the level it was at when I came in! Instead, she was trying to get me to take medication that would put me into withdrawals and not benefit my pain at all. Medication's for opioid use disorder or substance use disorder! I am coming up on 23 years of sobriety, which I take very seriously and my pain management doctor is trying to paint me as drug seeking! How many times do I have to be cleared by Addiction Medicine before this woman will listen to Addiction Medicine saying that I am sustained recovery no evidence of opioid use disorder Cures database consistent. Extremely low risk so why am I being treated like I am drug seeking when I go to the hospital because the pain is stopping my heart? Other than that UCLA has been great downtown LA the workers are very polite and welcoming and extremely helpful. In one building I have x-ray, rheumatology, cardiology, hematology, endocrinology, etc. etc. you can't beat that I'm not blaming UCLA for the pain management problem. I am blaming the DEA for this crazy oversight and limitation set on amount of medication you can get. For instance, they will say "only for cancer type pain" there are a lot of conditions that are a lot more painful than the worst of cancer such as complex regional pain syndrome, a.k.a. CRPS one of the problems I am dealing with. The fact is that Pain kills! I have proof of it from just about a week ago when it was stopping my heart with my pacemaker in it. The doctor wrote specifically that it was the direct result of my uncontrolled pain that was causing my heart to stop and have the other deadly rhythms. So five stars for UCLA except for their understanding of pain. Oh, I almost forgot the last TIA that I had as a result of pain I still have not gotten my memory back and had to back out of my bachelors degree because I could no longer count, I've had to take off four terms of school in a row now For the second year due to all of this suffering. To close it out I would suggest UCLA 100% except for the fact I have been lied to, I have been ignored, and they have put my life in danger with the gaslighting and refusing to give me the proper medicine that I need and I am not out of the woods yet. one more flare of pain can stop my heart permanently. Honestly, I am inches from having my pacemaker shut off and they could care less. I think one less problem Patient for them. :(

All of my doctors are with UCLA so my doctors who are all specialists tell me to go to the ER, I go. Unfortunately, the doctors at the UCLA ER are terrible! Not only do you have to wait up to 20 or more hours to be even seen but every single time I have gone in, no matter how sick I was, I was gas lit, for instance, coming in letting them know that I have a paralyzed, intestinal tract, and have not been able to eat or drink for several days and the doctor right off the bat asking me if I'm sure it's not the stomach flu! I tell him my specialist sent me to the hospital! Finally another doctor comes back and sees me and says that he just called my specialist and said he'll get me in sooner to my motility specialist. What they ended up doing was screwing up everything they canceled the appointment that I already had scheduled with the motility doctor that I needed to see and did not keep me for what I should've been kept for which was my heart, my thyroid and my stomach. My doctors were all blown away! My thyroid levels were critical, and yet they did nothing. My heart was on full pace, and the doctor and nurse that originally saw me immediately put me on a cardiac monitor and ordered fluids and morphine because of my heart, and two hours later a nurse comes in and said that she had just given me my morphine, and my arm did not itch, so none of that got in my arm. She did not flush the line and then just attached the bag hanging with the fluids that I was supposed to get and then shut off my call button. Not that I was asking for anything except for who was my doctor and what was going on... Either way I have been to UCLA ER on four different occasions now where they just discharged me without even doing a proper assessment, they were busy they had the main lobby turned into a makeshift waiting room with makeshift urgent care beds. It was a disaster. This time I'm going in direct admit so I pray that things will go a lot better. That last time where I didn't even get the fluids that were ordered when I was having a heart problem is something that I could really take to a lawyer if I wanted to. Unfortunately, when you have chronic illness, you don't come in freaking out every time you're sick because you're just so used to it, so you're good at faking well. I don't come in making a fuss or anything like that unless I'm really critical and then it's not like there's any question they take me right to the trauma Bay but unless I'm life and death critically ill to where they cannot deny it without running lab they will just toss you to the street. Had they ran my labs they would've seen I was having serious problems. Had they spoken to the specialist that referred me there they would've kept me instead I don't know who they talk to because I am on palliative care I have to have permission from my doctors and nurses before I go to the ER and generally they'll tell me to call 911, but where I live I can't do that because they'll take me to the nearest hospital, which generally cannot handle my condition. I have multiple organ failure and a lot of major problems but I guess I don't look sick enough for them or act sick enough for them. It's kind of hard to do when you used to being sick all the time.

His broad scope of expertise, humanity, tact, and sense of humor have made a lasting positive impact on my life. Like most of his other patients, I can say without hesitation that I consider him and Peggy to be a part of my extended family. I will never forget receiving an unprompted call from Dr. H late in the evening many years ago after they learned of a sudden health crisis that my parent suffered. Thankfully, my parent's crisis eventually resolved; but that brief check-in from Dr. H touched me deeply. I knew that I was not alone and that he genuinely cared. Unheard of in modern medicine, when you call their office after-hours and connect with the emergency line, the phone rings at Dr. H's house. They trust their patients not to abuse that access; but the small number of times that my family needed it, Peggy and Dr. H were on the other end of the line, providing useful information and reassurance, even at 4AM. My experience as a patient of Dr. H's played no small role in my own journey towards becoming a physician. I often find myself trying to recall one of his totally unique and pithy one-liner jokes when I need to break the ice with a new patient. Family practices like this one are virtually impossible to find these days. The world would be a much better place if everyone had a medical team like Dr. Horowitz and Peggy.
