A lot goes into keeping the greens, and courses on Oahu, from having either being overly soaked, out or the opposite, becoming brittle and difficult to manage while playing golf. The fairways and scenery were really green and beautiful, for the full 18 holes. Upon arrival, the parking lot is semi covered by solar panels, and as you pull in, easy to navigate towards the clubhouse and proshop. Several options for hats and a few visors to choose from. Clothing and accessories are very affordable as well. The dining area served pretty good food. I was here for a tournament, so the food on the course was supplied, and also delicious, but I am not sure by whom. Friendly and helpful proshop staff as well! The carts were equipped with electronic GPS and never had any issues. I can't wait to play this public course again!

New England Clam Chowder was congealed and flavorless so I had to ask for salt. I don't eat meat or raw fish (they had poke) so I had to rely on salad, clam chowder and rice, which I normally would not mind (I love clam chowder), but the chowder was pretty bad, don't think I had buffet food at a golf course this sub-standard before. Desserts were a lot better; haupia, cake slices and small cheesecakes. The women's bathroom was air conditioned! Plus for that! The venue was just OK, the sound system in there was awful. Not sure if people hosting the event needed to bring their own sound systems or if it belonged to the golf course, but if it was owned by the golf course, they better improve on that! The staff immediately took the dish back to the kitchen to be cooked longer, but despite their best efforts my friend could not eat the chicken. No complaints about the way the chicken was prepared, and I commend the kitchen and the servers for putting the customer first. My friend ended up having their Loco Moco with brown gravy and easy over egg and she was happy with her dish. My Loco Moco with Hoakalei curry and sunny side up egg was excellent. Our desserts were sinfully delicious. Overall great dining experience. I hope to dine here again.

As luck would have it, the person who reached out and was available at the time was the head PGA instructor Oliver. I was a little unprepared (no clubs, no gloves), but Oliver was very much go with the flow and was able to accomodate me. He asked me what I wanted to work on, and that's exactly what we did. I improved immensely, because Oliver was able to quickly diagnose the main problems with my swing and explain in an uncomplicated way (without too many "swing thoughts"). I'm excited to go home and practice/implement the changes to my swing.

We were promised a certain price from the Mizuno Rep (Russ Chong) and he told us Oliver (Island Pacific Golf Academy) would bill us and call us when the clubs came in. A week before the clubs came in, our credit card was charged $400 more than the original price. I tried to get a hold of the Mizuno rep with no response and Oliver keeps giving us the run around. To this day he hasn't given us a refund. This was a hard and expensive lesson to learn. Don't do business with Oliver Oliquiano. From other reviews I've read it seems like he has a habit of ripping people off. Shame on him! Especially in Hawaii where the golf community is so tight knit!

BEST VENUE FOR YOUR WEDDING!!  We had our wedding at KGC on Sunday, 10/19/25, and it was the best…read moredecision we made.   Pros: - Beautiful landscaping - the venue overlooks the lush green golf course and had a beautiful sunset - Provides both ceremony and reception space in the same building - our ceremony took place in the Breezeway with floor to ceiling windows and cathedral-like ceilings, and we utilized both the Tee Room and Main Dining Room.  Other ceremony options were the 8th tee and the gazebo, which were outdoors and wouldn't accommodate our big Filipino and Portuguese families LOL!  The other reception space was the lanai, which we used for our pupu/cocktail hour and was open for the guests to roam around and enjoy the outdoor scenery - Because of having both the ceremony and reception spaces in the same spot, less traveling and time wasted in between   - The main dining room has 4 TVs that can be utilized during the event. We used 2 of them to play our slideshow throughout the wedding. I would program the slideshow ahead of time to make it play continuously and export them onto a thumb drive that they'll connect to the TVs (one thumb drive per TV) - The venue itself is big and open - Venue is in Kapolei, but quiet and was away from the busy highway - Free parking - Breezeway accommodated our 120 guests - Reception spaces accommodated our 230 guests - Food was super good!! - Service was friendly and professional - Bar service did NOT skimp on alcohol hehe - Their main venue coordinator, Tracy, was knowledgeable, patient, and easy to talk to - They also work with you to make the floorplan (table arrangements, vendor spaces such as the photobooth, DJ space, etc., sweetheart table, etc etc).  - 3-entrée buffet which included rice, mac salad, and dessert was around $68 per person (could be a con, depending on your own financial situation).  We had the garlic parm chicken, salmon beurre blanc, and braised beef (we originally had the 2 first entrée choices with the prime rib - BEST decision was changing it to the braised beef last minute because it was SOOOOOOOOO ONO!  And cheaper)    - Men's locker room is huge, clean and newer - used for the groom and groomsmen to get ready - Once you choose KGC, they provide a list of vendors (décor, entertainment, equipment, etc.) and they are familiar with the venue and layout   Cons: - Women's "bridal suite" is the women's locker room - small, clean and had lockers for the bridal party, but got the job done before the ceremony.  We got ready at a nearby hotel b/c it would've been too small for myself and my 6 bridesmaids to get ready - Provides 1.5 hours before the start of the event for the vendors and "helpers" to set up (I had a good amount of our own decor and equipment and didn't want to get in the way of the KGC and vendor staff) - Many events are held at KGC (night market, weddings, birthdays, retirement parties, etc), which means the venue coordinators are constantly busy and may take some time to get back to you   Overall, KGC took great care of us during our wedding, and we booked them about a year before our wedding.  We couldn't do the nitty gritty planning until maybe 3-4 months before the date, which included menu tasting, head counts, and final details but that allowed us to work on other wedding things.  The KGC staff worked with us from day 1 and we had an AMAZING wedding with so many memories and fun times with friends and family.  Speaking of which, they also gave us positive feedback about the overall venue and wedding.  Thank you KGC team and I'm excited to book future events!

They were running a special for $225/player (normally $275) with a 10-day advanced booking. They need a credit card to hold the reservation and you pay upon arrival. We had a 10:50 tee time and everything ran on time and check-in was smooth. Once checked-in, you'll present your receipt to the staffer who will give you a small bucket of balls. They took our clubs at the parking lot stand and placed the clubs on our cart. We grabbed a few clubs and walked over to the grass range, which was in decent shape. The course is great for all skill levels because it's pretty wide open and very well manicured. The rough is cut down pretty low so even if you miss the fairway, you still gotta shot at it. Playing the blues, the course is pretty long but manageable. The greens were in great shape and bunkers were great looking, although luckily I didn't have to play out of any of them. While it's a well maintained course, I thought the layout was kinda boring and predictable. Lots of good views and photo ops around the course, although the course has minimal ocean views. We had some vouchers from our hotel which we could use at the pro shop but not the snack bar. We ended up with a couple of bag tags, ball markers and a logo ball (gift set) which they engrave your name in the bag tag which is pretty cool for $20 for everything. The rest of the pro shop is pretty pricey though. Overall, glad we got to play it. I think the price point is what would keep me from playing again, but it's hard to beat when it's less than 5 minutes from our hotel. We got paired with a great couple, shout out Chuck and Cindy who were also visiting. It made for a memorable and fun day out on the course.

It's affordable for us locals but I wouldnt bring out of staters here due to the up charge. It wouldn't be worth it.
