Dr Carey is easily the best dentist in town. He is very knowledgeable and treats his patients with the upmost care. I am a dentist myself and aspire to be the type of dentist that Dr.Carey is. He truly wants to help his patient and treats you as if you are his only patient while you are in his office. If you come in with a complicated dental issue, he always has a solution. He is honest and kind. The office staff is also always so friendly and professional. Lompoc is lucky to have such a talented dentist in this community. read more

Brian Carey is the dentist you go to when you hate going to the dentist. He makes the experience of going to the dentist as painless as possible. Dr. Carey and is staff are friendly and he makes the experience of getting dental care as painless as possible. He doesn't chastize you the way other dentists will tend to do and you get the sense he genuinely cares about you as a patient and not just another customer on the day's docket. If you don't have insurance, they also take Care Credit. I was someone who avoided going to the dentist due to multiple bad experiences and ended up neglecting my teeth as a result. When I could no longer avoid it, I asked around for recommendations and ultimately went to Dr. Carey for several extractions, fillings and bridge work and the most pain I experienced getting work done was the "little pinch" getting numbed, which hurts less than getting cat scrached. The only issue I've had was they're faily popular so there's quite a wait getting scheduled in. read more

Dr. Brian is great, he is very friendly and can answer any question you have. He is a very knowledgeable dentist and works great with kids. My niece, nephew and I needed to see a dentist during our travel and he was very accommodating. Dr. Brian made sure the kids were comfortable during their entire appointment. Who wouldn't love coming to a friendly dental office? His staff was very nice as well. I've always had a bad experience at dental offices but not here! When you walk in it doesn't even smell like your usual dental office, which is a total plus! But too bad this office is about 4 hours from where I live. Thank you Dr. Brian Carey! read more

My brother recommended Dr Carey. I really like him and I believe his work ethic is outstanding. We have spoken frankly about dental insurance and he is very straight forward and most importantly I trust him. His staff are all very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Dr Carey! read more

My adult son moved back to Lompoc and developed an infection in his mouth. He became very ill over the weekend. He contacted multiple dentists, including the one that our family had been seeing for years. The only dentist that was able/willing to see him during the weekend was Dr. Brian Carey. Dr. Carey spent several hours with my son, taking care of his dental needs, providing him with x-rays, prescriptions and follow up care. Because it was the weekend, none of his staff were available - Dr. Carey did all the work on his own. Since then, our entire family has moved to Dr. Carey's office for dental care. He ALWAYS explains what is going on, spends a great deal of time with each of us to ensure that our questions are answered. He has also worked with my other adult children when they have not had dental coverage to assist in making the best dental care decisions that fit their wallet. HE IS A GENUINE, NICE GUY WHO CARES ABOUT HIS PATIENTS! The staff is friendly and know our names whenever we come in. Insurance and billing questions are explained clearly and openly. I have not met anyone in that office will not take time with a patient. I wish that ALL health care professionals were this good. read more

It has been a really long while since I went to a Dentist to get any work done so I decided to go here at Brian Carey Dental. I have already gone a few times and always have a really good experience. I always pictured Dental offices to be really boring and scary but this dental office felt very homey. The staff is welcoming and the interior is very nice! I felt like I was at home. They have comfortable seating and a TV to watch during dental work. After getting my x-rays Dr Carey told me that everything here is digital! So he showed me my teeth on the computer screen and explained what work needed to be done. Dr Carey is a perfectionist and a professional at what he does! Highly recommended!!! Overall, If you need a Dentist who's easy going and loves what he does go here! Also don't forget, they have awesome customer service and will have you leaving with a smile on your face! read more

Dr. Carey is an excellent and compassionate dentist. He and his staff had originally booked our dental cleanings 3 months in advance due to scheduling conflicts, but was able to move us ahead within a month's time because of his new clinic location. Thank you for putting your patients first and foremost! Would highly recommend to anyone who's in need of a new local dentist! read more

I was new to town and looking for a new dentist. I have had really bad experiences at dentists before so finding a new one made me nervous. But I'm so happy that I went to Dr. Carey. I had a cleaning and filings -- both with absolutely NO pain. I was so surprised! They didn't use a scary syringe to numb my mouth, they used another device that I couldn't feel at all. (Called the wand I think.) Great staff, clean office, and they're more than happy to explain procedures and costs to you - which was a relief. read more

Dr. Carey did such a great job. He is very nice and professional. I can also tell he really cares for his patients. I was a walk in for very severe tooth ache, fortunately he was able to see me that day and explained exactly what he was going to do in detail and so that I understood in layman's terms exactly what had to be done and why. Unfortunately for me I needed a root canal as well as a filling so his office made my appointment for me. I was referred to another great doc. Dr. Wong. Overall i quotidian refer any one in the 805 to both these docs and look forward to follow-up with Dr. Carey. Great office staff too! read more

I miss Dr. Carey!!! Like previous reviews, I have since moved and have yet to find a dentist that was as great as he is! He always remembered me and he and his staff are so friendly. I just love the personal touch his office has. I went to him for check ups, cleanings, a few fillings and crowns during my time at Vandenberg and was always so pleased with his work. If you're looking for a dentist in the area, definitely make an appointment with Dr. Brian Carey :) read more

Dr. Carey and his office staff are wonderful! If you are looking for a dentist in Lompoc, go see him. He is not pushy. He lets you know what needs to be done now and what could be done later. He is also always willing to answer any of my questions. read more

Made appointment 2 weeks prior, verified over the phone that they accepted our dental insurance, showed up the day of appointment and receptionist informs my husband they are no longer accepting that insurance! A call the day off or before would have been nice/common courtesy, but after reading the reviews here I am not shocked this occurred. I should have read the reviews before even considering this place. Thanks for nothing and for making my husband waste his time off of work. read more

Let me start by saying that my little Rock Star of a daughter is a special needs child. She is very familiar with doctors and what not. When we went to see Dr. carey it was on the reccomendation of Dr. Harper. We were checking into when would be a good time to get her fitted for Braces. Ultimately she had to have 7 teeth "Sunshined" (Pulled out) the first 4 that came out she took like a champ. this last trip however, anxeity got the better of her and she just couldn't bring herself to co operate. Dr. Carey and his assistant both. Put their instruments down and spoke to her softly and soothing. They were so very Kind to her and let her take her time to calm down. It took some negotiations from mom too but we all worked together. After it was all said and done she was just fine and was smiling and talking when we left. The next day Dr. Carey called me Just to check on my girl and to make sure I held up my end of the negotiations.! I can't say enough good things about Dr. Carey and his Staff!! they are wonderful people and I will never have to find another dentist again!! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM FOR YOUR DENTAL NEEDS read more

Dr Carey and staff are awesome. They take you right away, very little to no waiting in the lobby. Dr Carey is awesome, he is really friendly and explains all the procedures he is going to do, and he is quick about it. I had 3 cavities filled in two different appointments and they were all as great as you can expect from a dental visit. read more

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Brian Carey, I needed a few procedures done and he explained in detail everything ahead of time and made me feel very comfortable. I was very scared I had never had teeth pulled before, it was a breeze! NO PAIN AT ALL. His staff is very friendly and helpful as well. My whole experience was great. If I did not move over 2000 miles away, I would still go back to him. He goes above and beyond any other dentist I have ever went to. Thank you again Dr Carey!!! read more
