Brian Carey is the dentist you go to when you hate going to the dentist. He makes the experience of going to the dentist as painless as possible. Dr. Carey and is staff are friendly and he makes the experience of getting dental care as painless as possible. He doesn't chastize you the way other dentists will tend to do and you get the sense he genuinely cares about you as a patient and not just another customer on the day's docket. If you don't have insurance, they also take Care Credit. I was someone who avoided going to the dentist due to multiple bad experiences and ended up neglecting my teeth as a result. When I could no longer avoid it, I asked around for recommendations and ultimately went to Dr. Carey for several extractions, fillings and bridge work and the most pain I experienced getting work done was the "little pinch" getting numbed, which hurts less than getting cat scrached. The only issue I've had was they're faily popular so there's quite a wait getting scheduled in. read more

Dr. Brian is great, he is very friendly and can answer any question you have. He is a very knowledgeable dentist and works great with kids. My niece, nephew and I needed to see a dentist during our travel and he was very accommodating. Dr. Brian made sure the kids were comfortable during their entire appointment. Who wouldn't love coming to a friendly dental office? His staff was very nice as well. I've always had a bad experience at dental offices but not here! My adult son moved back to Lompoc and developed an infection in his mouth. He became very ill over the weekend. He contacted multiple dentists, including the one that our family had been seeing for years. The only dentist that was able/willing to see him during the weekend was Dr. Brian Carey. Dr. Carey spent several hours with my son, taking care of his dental needs, providing him with x-rays, prescriptions and follow up care. Because it was the weekend, none of his staff were available - Dr. Carey did all the work on his own. Since then, our entire family has moved to Dr. Carey's office for dental care. He ALWAYS explains what is going on, spends a great deal of time with each of us to ensure that our questions are answered. He has also worked with my other adult children when they have not had dental coverage to assist in making the best dental care decisions that fit their wallet. HE IS A GENUINE, NICE GUY WHO CARES ABOUT HIS PATIENTS! The staff is friendly and know our names whenever we come in. Insurance and billing questions are explained clearly and openly. I have not met anyone in that office will not take time with a patient. I wish that ALL health care professionals were this good. read more

It has been a really long while since I went to a Dentist to get any work done so I decided to go here at Brian Carey Dental. I have already gone a few times and always have a really good experience. I always pictured Dental offices to be really boring and scary but this dental office felt very homey. The staff is welcoming and the interior is very nice! I felt like I was at home. They have comfortable seating and a TV to watch during dental work. After getting my x-rays Dr Carey told me that everything here is digital! So he showed me my teeth on the computer screen and explained what work needed to be done. Dr Carey is a perfectionist and a professional at what he does! Highly recommended!!! He and his staff had originally booked our dental cleanings 3 months in advance due to scheduling conflicts, but was able to move us ahead within a month's time because of his new clinic location. I was new to town and looking for a new dentist. I have had really bad experiences at dentists before so finding a new one made me nervous. But I'm so happy that I went to Dr. Carey. I had a cleaning and filings -- both with absolutely NO pain. I was so surprised! They didn't use a scary syringe to numb my mouth, they used another device that I couldn't feel at all. (Called the wand I think.) Great staff, clean office, and they're more than happy to explain procedures and costs to you - which was a relief. read more

Dr. Carey did such a great job. He is very nice and professional. I can also tell he really cares for his patients. I was a walk in for very severe tooth ache, fortunately he was able to see me that day and explained exactly what he was going to do in detail and so that I understood in layman's terms exactly what had to be done and why. Unfortunately for me I needed a root canal as well as a filling so his office made my appointment for me. I was referred to another great doc. Dr. Wong. Dr Brian is a great dentist. He remembers his patients and is very good at what he does. Plus, he is always willing to go beyond to help out. His staff is also supper friendly. They always remember me (even if I haven't been in a while) and they also find ways to work with your schedule. The place is very kid friendly too! Made appointment 2 weeks prior, verified over the phone that they accepted our dental insurance, showed up the day of appointment and receptionist informs my husband they are no longer accepting that insurance! A call the day off or before would have been nice/common courtesy, but after reading the reviews here I am not shocked this occurred. I had a tooth emergency I was in so much pain and my normal dentist refused to see me because I had missed a appointment due to a family emergency well I was in a lot of pain and a friend had mentioned Dr. Carey well he was on his way out the door and stayed just to see me I showed up they took me in the back within minutes and had the problem tooth out so quickly with no pain what so ever and his staff is so amazing and caring I am such a baby when it comes to dentist and they calmed me and talked to me and I felt like I was talking to family and I had just met them bet experience ever he is now my familys dentist he is so amazing I cant express that enough thank you all so much for everything you were GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Let me start by saying that my little Rock Star of a daughter is a special needs child. She is very familiar with doctors and what not. When we went to see Dr. carey it was on the reccomendation of Dr. Harper. We were checking into when would be a good time to get her fitted for Braces. Ultimately she had to have 7 teeth "Sunshined" (Pulled out) the first 4 that came out she took like a champ. this last trip however, anxeity got the better of her and she just couldn't bring herself to co operate. Dr. Carey and his assistant both. Put their instruments down and spoke to her softly and soothing. They were so very Kind to her and let her take her time to calm down. It took some negotiations from mom too but we all worked together. After it was all said and done she was just fine and was smiling and talking when we left. The next day Dr. Carey called me Just to check on my girl and to make sure I held up my end of the negotiations.! I can't say enough good things about Dr. Carey and his Staff!! they are wonderful people and I will never have to find another dentist again!!
