On top of the challenging features of the property, we had moved to California two years prior to listing to care for aging family members, leaving the house empty for that time. When we finally decided our move was permanent, and it was time to consider selling, we interviewed several realtors. We felt rather deflated, as almost every one of them discouraged us from listing and told us to wait. Most did a quick Google search of local stats and said it wasn't a good time. The realtor who worked with us when we bought it wasn't even interested in trying to sell it. Deanna is the only one who took the initiative to go to the property and get a real on-the-ground view of it. She saw what the area had to offer, and that the house was a gem with two big issues that would require finding a very particular buyer (a working farm across the street, which we loved, and an insanely steep driveway). She gave us the confidence we needed to buckle down and do the work to get the house on the market. There was some tough love on her part, when we started to lose momentum in our repair work, and when we wanted to price it higher than the market would support. That's exactly what we needed. After reading several reviews I knew I wanted to go with a smaller vs. a bigger company (where they might hand you off to whoever or you get lost in the shuffle). SOOOOO glad I went with Liz! We put in about 3-4 offers starting in February and kept getting outbid by cash offers and waiving everything. Finally we found something that was perfect for us and had keys and were moving in on April 8!
