Dr Fanno is fine. His office staff in 2017 was pleasant. As was he. Minus a star because after 6months of steroid injections and only seeing temporary relief he finally prescribed a CT scan, at that point he wanted surgery and I got a second opinion. That doctor thought I was too young and doing surgery on one side would likely result in surgery to the other side due to overcompensating. The remedy I needed all along, special insoles and physical therapy! I'm glad I'm better with a noninvasive option.
Minus another star for that referral he gave, below is the review for the place he sent me (Westside Radiology) ... I'm sorry I listened and feel he has a responsibility to be selective about where he refers patients. My experience turns out to be far from unique.
"If I could give negative stars I would!
I received services Aug 2017, it is March 2022 and I am still dealing with issues because their billing department can't get a straight forward claim right. 5 years, hours of calls, and I can't believe my doctor referred me to this place. They waited a year to submit the claim to my insurance, then sent the bill to collections, meanwhile my insurance had already processed the claim, then west side radiology cash the proverbial check from insurance less than 2 month later. Oh and the amounts they're trying to collect are way over, about 4x what insurance allows and I have the EOBs to prove it. I have been harassed by collections for years despite having excellent credit all because of their negligence if not intended fraud. My patient responsibility is 0.
Billing customer service is aweful, long wait times no matter when you call, staff can't answer meaningful questions and just submit tickets for review , the review process is 20-45 days pre&post pandemic, but you'll never hear back anyway.
Dealing with them today going on 5yrs later I was hung up on twice, the first while on "hold" the second the guy straight up hung up after saying he's make a note and there was no way to contact a supervisor (ummm in 2022 really? Doubt that).
I saw the 14th street location but I haven't found their page, all locations go to the same billing office.
Also waited hours past appointment time for because staffing was a mess even then.
I'm now at the place of working with insurance to go after the collectors and if that doesn't resolve things we'll take next steps.
Run, walk, whatever you do AVOID this place and if your doctor recommended them, get a new referral." read more
