They did NOT have the appropriate Surgical Room so they transferred me by Ambulance to the LEVEL 2 TRAUMA CENTER in Everett. The ER Doctor and Radiologist re-confirmed the same Diagnosis. It turned ALL four [4] of these so-called"Professionals" were 100% WRONG! A member of the Orthopedic Surgeon Team showed me the X-Rays and informed me I had a SHATTERED HUMERUS BONE which CANNOT be repaired. Additionally, I was informed by both Hospitals that they knew of NOBODY qualified to perform the appropriate Surgical Procedure in ALL of the State of Washington. They DISCHARGED AND WISHED ME THE BEST OF LUCK...THAT WAS BEYOND INSULTING AND DEVASTATING NEWS!!!! I tried for a week in WA to find a Surgeon to review my case with NO LUCK! I decided to return to my home State of California. Meanwhile the Motel where the incident took place STONE WALLED ME AND THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE AND EVICT ME when I requested an Incident Report. After speaking with numerous national Law Firms that advertise on TV and Radio they advised me they don't do this type of case. Over the past 2-3 years they have kept asking questions and delaying the process of finishing this process. I have spent around $400 on emails alone (yes, they charge about $25 per email exchange). They do not respond in any other way except email, and each of those adds up. I regret everything about using this law firm. We are out $11K and have nothing to speak from it. I would sue them but they are a law firm, so I wouldn't expect to win. USE ANY OTHER LAW FIRM is my only advice. To give even more details, they admittedly forgot they were our client about a year after we started. One day my wife and I were like "What happened to our Will and Trust update?". So we contacted Brothers and they legitimately had no idea what we were referencing. I think they charged us another $$ to re-review all of our documents. What I have right now is about a dozen amendments for revisions to our original Will and Trust. Not even an actual Will and Trust, just a "plan" to revise it. If I were to finish it would cost me thousands. I was referred to him by a family friend shortly after the accident and we met him about a week after we returned to Seattle. We hired him immediately after meeting him as we did not want to deal with the insurance companies at all which turned out to be so worthwhile. In anticipation of possible issues with an out of state claim, he networked at a conference in DC and made a business connection with another attorney just in case we had to file anything in Maryland. Our cost to him wouldn't have increased had we hired a second attorney so that made me feel comfortable about what could happen. This made me feel even more confident in his abilities to represent our case since it was out of state. Fortunately, we did not have to file a lawsuit in Maryland so that saved us another 2 years of waiting to settle. Overall, we were pleased with his work and would refer him to anyone needing representation for a car accident. The case took about 3 years to settle but that was because we had to go through medical treatment and weren't in any rush to settle. Usually people wait until they are ready to settle before they retain counsel so we jumped the gun a bit but not having to talk to an adjuster was worth the contingency that Steven collected upon our settlement.
