Nice spot not too far from our hotel while walking and exploring the neighborhood the days after the Berlin Marathon. very nice little breakfast spot. Casual vibe and nothing fancy but the food offerings were good and tasty. Of course, it was another place offering all kinds of yummy pastries, breads, and cappuccinos! If asked, it would be hard for me to selection my favorite place to eat in Berlin. I was only there a week and enjoyed so many different places. That being said, Brezel would surely be mentioned and highly recommended.We ended up enjoying Brezel for breakfast on two occasions (and grabbed a pretzel to go on another). Our first visit, I kept it simple by ordering what turned out to be a great value meal in the 'French Breakfast'. You get a cappuccino, croissant, a small selection of fruit, and butter/jam for something like 5 euros! Obviously the croissant was fresh made. Excellent taste and excellent value. Our second trip, we expanded and ordered the breakfast for two. Another deal, as it included a full breadbasket, various cheese and meats, fruit, butter/jam, and 2 glasses of fresh orange juice. The bread basket was amazing, but probably too much along with the meal. We loved the pretzel included in the basket (again fresh) and ended up returning later for another to go. Service is friendly, they accept card, and have free wifi. Grab a bite indoor or outside and enjoy. read more

Open from 07h00 until 18h00 daily Brezel Berlin is a popular stop in Schöneberg, the Café with free Wifi frequently finding guests on their laptops while others opt for outdoor seating complete with newspapers and magazines. Specializing in Pretzels, signage suggesting "our café is supplied daily with baked goods from selected bakeries" making it difficult to know if everything else is made on-site, both the sliced "Butter Brezel" and one with Cheese faired well while Brea with Pumpkin Seeds and a soft Croissant were decent, at best. Reasonably priced and happy to accept Credit Card, entry to exit less than five minutes for those on the go, Berliners come poorly filled without a lot of density while the Poppyseed Roll is compromised by Icing that renders it overly-sweet. read more

Limited choices but the basics are definitely covered and the food tastes good. The location is on a corner in a nice and quiet area with tables and lounge chairs on the sidewalk. Service is friendly and caring, they definitely make you feel welcomed. You can sit inside or outside, the ambiance is quite relaxing, they have wi-fi and take credit cards which you cannot take for granted in Berlin. read more

This is a local bakery specialising (as the name implies) in pretzels, along with breads and pastries, filled baguettes and cakes. There's a reasonably sized cafe attached, with outside seating as well. It's a particularly popular spot for breakfast, so we went along after a recommendation to try it out. Staff were friendly, seated us, and took the order quickly: we chose the Cheese breakfast with four types of cheese, boiled egg, jam, fruit and bread basket (€9.50). Bread, tea and coffee arrived after ten minutes. However... after half an hour (and seeing later arrivals being served) we enquired about ours, to be told it was coming shortly. After another inquiry, and a further ten minutes, we were told it was imminent. We asked again after another ten minutes. A full hour and ten minutes after we'd arrived, the food finally arrived, with an apology, and three gratis mini doughnuts by way of recompense. Apparently, there was a glitch with the automatic ordering system, but clearly a bit more management was needed earlier on to sort it out. We kept getting quite complex explanations as to the problem, but all we wanted was our food...! The breakfast itself was very nice, but it's hard to enjoy it in the same way when your patience has been quite so tested. Payment was swift (they take cards) and came with more apologies. So I can see why it's popular and gets good reviews, and we might give it another go on our next visit. But sadly our experience drops it by two stars. read more
