Cute, cozy place with a fairly extensive menu. We dined here on a cold, rainy Sunday night when everything else was closed, and found that Quchnia was the perfect spot to stop for a casual dinner. The cheese plate was excellent, and the flatbreads were very good. There were lots of other diners enjoying wine, coffee, and snacks. I loved that they had a couple of window seats, small tables, as well as long, communal style tables. I wish we could go back in the springtime and enjoy the outdoor patio. It would be a great place to view the beautiful Breitscheidplatz across the way. read more

A gorgeous cafe / bar located opposite the Dom in Berlin mitte. I went here for breakfast and the inside is beautiful with tall ceilings and plush leather couches laid out on one side of the cafe and, long benches to sit and share the table with others on the other side. It was quite busy when I arrived just before opening time. They have a selection of breakfast and lunch options and I had a bagel sandwich (something rarely seen in Munich) and loved it. Just warmly toasted with cheese and tomato it was presented with a small salad and fruit. The coffee here is also excellent and the fresh pressed orange juice was excellent. I wish we had cafes like this in Munich. A blend of Viennesse Cafe with a bit of Berlin flair. Would come back here again and during warm days sit outside and people watch :-)) read more

We came in here for breakfast one morning as we were walking around the piazza across the street and were thoroughly surprised with how great of a spot this was. The overall feel is very casual and comfortable with long wooden tables or soft lounge chairs of your choice. The restaurant is kept clean and orderly. Servers come to your tables, but expect to wait longer than NYC times :) Getting to the food, we did an assortment of fresh bagels, yogurt with granola and fruit, chicken sanGwiches, and a meat variety plate served with bread. Everything was fresh and served cleanly on the plates. The cappuccinos, espressos and cafes were all very good as well. For the quality of the dishes, the prices were in line with what they should be for a cafe and we did not leave hungry. Buon appetito. read more

Really nice place, in front of Konzerthaus Berlin. Little dim lights, comfortable chairs, relaxed music. If you took a nap in this place, no one would notice :) But to keep you awake they have nice selection of high quality coffees and teas, some home made cakes (cheesecakes especially) and long drinks. I tried white chocolate cheesecake and Colombian coffee. Good combination, though I could not eat the whole cake (good to share!). Quick and competent service, reasonable prices, undisturbed crowd. Delightful place with plenty of outside seating and fabulous flammkuchen. We each had the traditional flammkuchen, which is a thin crusty dough, similar to pizza, covered with white cheese, pieces of bacon, and onions. It's a very different taste from pizza, and is delicious. A couple Krombacher beers went perfect with it. Sitting outside, we had good service and a nice view along the busy street. I was lucky enough to attend a fabulous wine tasting event here in their amazing outdoor space, right on the square and opposite the cute indoor cafe. The views over towards the concert house were just unbeatable from here - especially with a riesling in hand! There was a generous selection of wines just waiting to be tried but the star of the show were the servers. Oh and the cheese! But first the servers, who had clearly swotted up on their wine recs, and also seemed to have some sort of sixth sense for when we were ready to try something different and always a (great) suggestion for what that might be. I'm still dreaming of the cheese selection they put on too, above all an exceptional truffled brie that it was a real effort to stop myself from eating... nyum. Thanks for having us! read more

My waitress, however, never came to my table to check to see how everything was tasting, and was slow to clean off my table after I was done. My wife and I stopped in for breakfast. Warm and modern interiors. For American visitors, the decor will remind you of a very tastefully decorated Pottery Barn / West Elm. The food was great. The menu is typical of what you'd find in other German cafes--sandwiches, pastries, fruit, salads. Prices are a bit on a high side but reasonable given the quality of the ingredients, presentation, and decor. The servers were friendly and attentive, more so than in other establishments. Highly recommended for a place to rest and relax, especially amid a day of heavy walking/sightseeing. read more

Very good gourmet sandwiches and daily quiche specials, both including small exotic salads for under 7EUR. Comfortable seats and a few huge wooden tables, great for short business lunches. A few seats outside with a view of the Gendarmenmarkt. In the summer there's sun from about 13:30 onwards. All in all a great experience every time I've been. read more

We were two yesterday for a business talk. we drunk coffee and chai latte each and one of us ate also a sordough bread. all good made. We were deeply in the talks till we one of us felt bad and sick and went to the bartender to kindly ask a glass of pipe water because she doesn't feel good. We still didn't pay but we were planning to leave and asked for a check too. And the dear gentlemen behind the bar replied - "No, I will not give you water, because you two sit for two hours, each of you drunk just a coffee and only one of you eat!" He could better reply - it's 2 euros or something but not like this. What do you think? Is that ok? I don't think so if it's a lot to ask - a glass of pipe water. So disinterested, in fact, that he didn't even take the correct order. The food took forever. And then when it did come, one of our dishes was the completely wrong dish and the other dish--a salad--came drenched in dressing even though it was ordered with dressing on the side. Amazing food. A bit pricy, more-so for the drinks, compared to other options, but not much. Definitely worth every cent. I ordered Harry's breakfast sandwich, it was delish. Açaí bowl tasted like straight up yogurt, but toppings were good. Serves breakfast later than most places, so no worries if you wake up late. Also a great dinner menu. The whole menu had a great variety, and all sounded SO good. Would order everything if I could. Including the drinks. They made amazing juices with a perfect combination of fruits and healthy stuff. Great service, very accommodating. Also lovely interior and super comfy chairs. Outdoor and indoor seating available, along with free WiFi. Includes bar area as well. how this place got 4 stars is beyond me ! this is one of those times where you don't even know where to start - because everything was wrong. we ordered "Q for two" - a breakfast to share. the coffee came fast - but 10 minutes before the breakfast- so either cold or gone when food came. 1) on a sharing plate there should be 2, 4 or 6 of everything not one or 0.5 of some of the things we got 0.5 strawberry 0.5 grape - yes I'm kidding half a grape !!! 1 pice of pre cut cheetah, 1 pice of ham. 2) the bread was from Aldi or similar and at least 1 day old, and very dry - it would make sound when you bend it - and no it was sadly not toast. 3) there were one slice of some other bread that was ok - but one small slice for 2 persons ???? 4) the other cheese - was of the precut, no taste perhaps 1 kg for 5€ sort - no taste at all. 5) both eggs were punctured- so they had water inside and over cooked. 6) the "croissant " was puffed bread over baked. 7) the 1/2 slice of pineapple was not ripe at all 8) was almost walked over by a waiter that was busy texting - in the restaurant- wtf ? and we payed more than yesterday where we got a lot better ( 4 star ) breakfast read more
