During our recent trip to Berlin, we ate breakfast at Brotzeit twice (it was conveniently located between our rental and our family members' house). Good cappuccini, good baked goods, and some breakfast options (eggs with Turkish sausage, eggs with vegetables). The service was very good - they were very friendly about our attempts to speak German (but everyone that worked there spoke perfect English and were helpful explaining the options)! They have a single bathroom stall (but Brotzeit was never too crowded, so it wasn't a problem). They have seating inside, but several tables outside. Berlin's May weather was gorgeous, so we enjoyed our breakfast outside both mornings. I personally tried the cheese croissaint and the eggs with vegetables. The cheese croissant had slices of cheese melted on top of the croissant (rather than cheese within the croissant) which allowed the cheese to crisp on the edges, which was very tasty. The eggs with vegetables was delicious and spicy, but quite oily. All in all, it was a convenient, quick, and charming spot for breakfast on our trip. read more
