The grounds of this school are so well kept, the security here gives me comfort as well, so many resource officers and lots of teachers out helping kids when it's time for final bell. Teachers are great at communicating here, we couldn't make it to our sons parent teacher conference so she called us and had a phone conference instead, they are so good at working around busy schedules too! There is fun pirate themed play equipment in the older child area and then two other age appropriate outside areas for the little ones. My older son has also spent some time there when his elementary school is out and he too has loved his time there. They have age appropriate and fun activities for 5 and 6 year olds. Best public elementary school we came across…read more The other pointless parent review/complaint about "forcing" kids to apply for jobs inside their school is one of the dumbest things I have heard someone complain about... if you're mad or upset that a school is trying to set your child up for the REAL world and better them as human beings THEN HOMESCHOOL YOUR CHILDREN! Mitchell's curriculum is outstanding and the teachers/administration truly care about each and every child there. I, myself, am a single mom on a VERY limited low income/budget and never once felt "excluded" or "unqualified" for any type of participation regarding ANYTHING at Mitchell. This will be year 4 for us at the school and I don't have one single thing to complain about. Excellent school all-in-all. Thank you Mitchell Elementary for being an awesome school!
