The school is definitely Montessori enough, Montessori schools provide students with freedom within limits, and maybe that seems unruly to someone who has no idea what Montessori even is. The school is better priced that 7 of the schools I looked at in the area, only Primrose was more expensive. The school has a few entrances, all of which are locked by key and only a few members of the school have the keys. It is extremely safe. The owners of this school put me at ease. The school itself is immaculate and the outside areas are pristine. The communication is incredible, I can always follow up if I have a question or concern and get immediate feedback and help. My daughter goes in and comes out happy every single day. She has bloomed into a wonderful little human and at each checkup her doctor is amazed at how much she knows and does for under 3. I give full credit to the teachers and owner of the school for that. The teachers are a mix of backgrounds, some speak English, some speak Spanish, some might even speak more languages- I don't really know. I absolutely love the diversity and inclusion of the school and I couldn't be happier. My daughter did go to a different school and it had many of the same aspects but my daughter wasn't happy. The owners and teachers of this school are incredible and it shows in the kids that go there.

They use the "Montessori" name but they are not officially accredited by the American Montessori Society (AMS) or Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) . Please conduct your due diligence.

My oldest graduated from the pre-k program two years ago and my youngest graduates this May. We have made so many wonderful memories at Goddard over the past five years and I have so many positive comments about this amazing school! The three-story building is absolutely stunning!!! Each floor has their own private outdoor playground and the second and third floor have indoor gyms that are used for recess, book fairs, and special events. I feel that it is so crucial to have an indoor play space for inclement weather and am grateful that the children are able to play and exercise every day. The clean and modern classrooms are stocked with the newest toys, books, and learning materials. Each preschool teacher is provided with flatscreen televisions so that they can utilize educational videos that relate to the weekly lessons. My son's class just finished learning the alphabet and now is working on sight words so he will be ready to succeed in kindergarten. We have had so many kind and caring teachers over the past five years including Ms. Jasmine, Ms. Lindsay, Ms. Shinese, Ms. Brenda, Ms. Liza and Ms. Trish. These teachers have made my sons into smart, sweet, and respectful little boys! While there has been some turnover in teachers, it has only been the teacher's assistants and not the main teachers of the classrooms. During the transition the school has done an amazing job of filling any open spots with the students' previous teachers and teacher assistants so that the children are always surrounded by a familiar face. We are going to miss so many teachers and staff members who we have gotten to know over the past five years. I will also miss so many of the Goddard's annual events, including: Parent's Night Out (because all parents deserve a date night or night off!), lunch with your littles, Family Food Truck Fridays, Trunk-or-Treat, splash Fridays during the summer, the annual Jack Hartmann concerts, and the annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Over several weeks (October-November), our child was injured multiple times by the same child, including bite marks and other physical incidents. Some of these incidents were documented with incident reports, while others were not. We also personally witnessed aggressive behavior on more than one occasion. I understand that incidents can happen at this age; however, in our experience the behavior occurred often enough to significantly impact the classroom environment. From what was communicated to us by staff at the time, these incidents were affecting multiple children, and the classroom teacher was also struggling. While a behavior plan was reportedly in place, the incidents continued. At one point, we observed the classroom teacher in visible emotional distress due to the situation. We do not fault the teacher at all; she appeared to be doing everything she could under extremely difficult circumstances. Our concerns were with how the situation was handled at the administrative level and the lack of effective intervention to ensure safety for everyone in the classroom. After raising concerns, communication was extremely disappointing. Multiple requests for copies of all incident reports involving our child went unanswered. While some documentation was provided, we did not receive all incident reports or redacted information related to our child despite repeated requests. In addition, a confidentiality issue occurred in which our contact with corporate was shared with another parent. This resulted in that parent confronting me on school grounds in a way that felt inappropriate and upsetting. The ongoing situation caused significant emotional distress for our family and ultimately forced us to remove our child and secure alternative care on very short notice, resulting in financial loss and disruption to our work and family life. I'm sharing this so other parents can ask detailed questions about classroom safety, behavior management, documentation practices, and communication before enrolling. Every child deserves a safe environment, and every parent deserves transparency. The silver lining is that our son is now in a different school where he feels safe and supported. He has told us he loves his new school and does not want to return to what he described as the "mean class" at O2B.

Instead of demonstrating understanding or support, the director was condescending and dismissive. What was especially concerning was that she took it upon herself to diagnose my child as autistic based on her "20+ years of experience." I found this extremely inappropriate and unprofessional, as she is not a licensed medical professional and should not be labeling children in this way. As a parent, I was hoping for compassion, patience, and partnership in helping my child grow, especially since this was his first time attending daycare and he needed to adjust to social interactions. Instead, I left feeling judged and disheartened. I would not recommend Oak Crest Preschool to families who value inclusivity, empathy, and professional boundaries. I paid $225 for the registration and curriculum fee non-refundable, which I worked hard to afford, yet it was clear that the curriculum was never applied to support my child. After only 1 day, my child was judged without a fair chance.

My last child was attacked and this was the third time in three days, he was left with a deep scratch in his face that is now a permanent scar a year later. He also "fell" into a bookshelf that left possible fracture in his skull and permanent calcification and dent in his forehead. The doctor said it will Most likely never go away (happened 19 months ago) The first two requests on the injuries that had occurred previous to the serious one were dismissed despite my son telling me another kid hurt him. Additionally my son had a medical emergency (seizure) and requested to see footage per the doctors request and they refused to help me obtain this. Lastly to these isolated incidents, I have never felt more unwelcome in a place that I spent thousands and thousand of dollars at. We have switched to a different preschool and it is like day and night compared to Oak Crest, I didn't realize until i switched how terrible my experience over a 4 year period actually was. They really could improve how they treat staff and families and ultimately the care they provide kids.

And that was 3 days ago. The only reason I kept sending my son to this center was because my nursing school was paying for it and they had a certain list. But I decided to rather suffer financially than continue this nonsense. Since one of the teachers last semester lied to my face, later then writing a fake apology cause she was forced to, all they did was trying to make my life miserable and telling me the best choice is to go somewhere else and making my son look like he was a problem. In my opinion those reports are the most useless thing I have seen in my life: essays actually. Now I even doubt credibility on what's written there. It looks like they're forced to fill up all the empty space to describe what a 2 year old kid (now he's 4) under THEIR supervision did. And then the new Director calls me in her office to show me reports since he was 2.That just shows incapability to deal with a kid. Then trynna "diagnose" him as basically hyperactive was very unprofessional and as far as I know nobody there is a psychiatrist. That was the moment I realized this situation is affecting me , my husband and my son. I decided to find another school that actually COMMUNICATES and COLLABORATES and CARES about my son's well-being and development. I am glad I ended this unnecessary negativity. It's been a month now and everyday he comes home happy which makes me feel overwhelmed and at same time at fault for making him go through this psychological torture. I should've listened to my husband long time ago.
