I'm very pleased with ADA. Cole was super easy to talk to on the phone or text. You can easily schedule your drive online. Hubert was fabulous and easy to talk to. He was able to offer me suggestions/advice in a gentle and caring way: I asked him some different questions about the driving test and his responses were detailed and useful. Don't hesitate! This is an amazing driving school...I brought both my daughter and niece here for lessons. VERY responsive, new and SAFE cars for lessons followed up with daily report cards on what was learned, skills to improve on and next lesson instructions. Pick up at home and great lessons through traffic, merges, rain storms, construction zones, etc. Their instructor, Cole, was totally calm and taught them great road and life lessons. I searched and thought i found the best instructor for my son and it was a disaster. Charged him full price yet it was barely half an hour. My son has never driven before so, the instructor puts him on the road(not a parking lot or safe location and is annoyed that he's scared) and is passive aggressive after he panics as he's learning to turn into oncoming traffic. I'm looking at his other reviews and it seems he's great with young women so, there's that. After telling my son he'll credit him which is supposed to be a 2 hour lesson that lasted 24 minutes there has been no communication to the 2nd session. I would not recommend this company for any male young drivers. Heck, if it's a female maybe the parent should go on the ride along because it seems this instructor gets praised for his young female drivers. read more

I attended the Alafia Driving Academy a few weeks after I received my permit. My instructor Brandon was amazing he worked with me for 6 lessons. Throughout those 6 lessons we covered everything from parking skills to driving on the interstate. He made the lessons something to look forward to, we engaged in small talk and learned that we actually share a lot of common interests while still focusing on driving. Since I took my lessons during the COVID-19 pandemic. My instructor made sure to wipe down the wheel and other common buttons and knobs in the car, we both wore a masks during the lessons. Although the price may seem a little bit up there but for the information that you receive it's definitely worth it. Needless to say my experience was phenomenal and if you're looking for a driving school in the Bay Area. The Alafia Driving Academy is the way to go. read more

I have always been very nervous about driving. I lived in Japan when I was 16, where people drive on the left side of the road. I chose not to learn how to drive there, because I didn't want to return stateside and veer onto oncoming traffic. When we did return to Florida, I waited until I was 17 to get my permit, and only drove a handful of times. One of those times ended with me dinging a car in a parking lot, and the other with me getting honked at aggressively for going 30 on a 40 mph road. Needless to say, the idea of being FORCED to drive for 2 weeks was terrifying! I considered faking sickness to get out of my first lesson with Alafia Driving Academy. But I went, and I somehow survived. And I survived the next the lesson, and the next, and the next. My instructor Anthony was very helpful and fun, and he only made a couple mean jokes. The lessons flew by, and I became confident in my skillz (but not overly so, because again, Anthony would make a disparaging remark and put me down, haha) After 10 hours of driving, Anthony and I were both alive, the car was in one piece, and I hadn't been honked at once! Not even on the highway, which he tricked me into going on. We made an appointment at the DMV a couple days after my last lesson, and I got a perfect score on my test! I'm so glad that ADA was around, or else I'd probably have ended up walking everywhere for the rest of my life read more

This company does a very good job in offering professional driving instruction. Our new teen driver was getting plenty of driving with us, but we wanted to augment his time with qualified instructors with current knowledge of the motor vehicle laws here in Florida. We scheduled lessons with Cole, Roy, and Gina and each gave him the highest quality instruction to include interstate driving, parking, rules of the road, and a driving test prep session. All the instructors are professional, prompt, and courteous. Each gave us a summary of his driving skills, concerns, and areas we should work on. After the driving prep test, Cole even provided tips on the best place to go to test based on wait times, evaluators' courteousness, and location. Everything worked very smoothly and our teen passed on his first attempt. Even though he's licensed now, we still plan on going back to Alafia Driving Academy for their manual transmission driving sessions for the same reasons cited above. Wanted to take a shift class here and this place is completely unreliable. Tried to schedule two appointments but the car was getting repaired each time. On the third try I got an appointment. Drive all the way from Orlando to only find 15 minutes before arriving that the car broke again from the previous student and they'd have to get back to me. Waste of time. read more
