The Brewer's Dining Hall is a self-serve cafeteria that made for q great place to dine while visiting the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin. Most of the offerings here were either made with or meant to pair with Guinness, and one of the iconic dishes was the Signature Beef & Guinness Stew, made of chunks of beef and vegetables in a thick stew flavored with the dark, hearty aromas of Guinness, served with mashed potatoes and stuffing. We also got the Brewers Fish Plate, which came with Guinness-cured salmon, pickled cockles & mussels, kish smoked mackerel with fish roe, prawn cocktail (chopped prawns in a creamy dressing), pickled cucumbers/radishes, greens, and a side of Guinness bread. While everything was delicious, I especially liked the Guinness salmon (which had a slight aroma from the beer) and the Guinness bread, which was warm, slightly sweet, and nutty. The restaurant also offered a variety of side salads, and I tried the Samphire, a crunchy coastal plant with a slightly salty flavor, mixed with poached pears, walnuts, and hazelnuts. In addition to the tasty food, the setting was clean and elegant, the service was friendly, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable too! read more
