Worst mortgage company I've dealt with so far. Very poor communications skills from Brett and his assistant. My first initial call to Brett wasn't very pleSent either. unfortunately I'm not buying a million dollar property so they didn't seem to interested in helping me. They gave me an extremely low approval amount compared to other lenders read more

My loan files are not always easy but Brett and Serena are experts at what they do and they work very hard to make it all work out for me. I have been using Brett for about 25 years. I cant recommend anyone more than Brett. read more

I found Brett through Yelp and I thank the stars that I went with his team. Aileen was assigned as my loan consultant and I was blown away with the service that she and the rest of the Caliber team provided. She really looked out for my family's best interest by finding the best loan product for us saving us a good amount of money. Going through the loan process with Aileen was a joy. She is extremely hardworking and responsive. We were always ahead of schedule even with a tight timeline that we imposed on her in order to be competitive in this crazy housing market. I have been in my fair share of escrows and never have I been so impressed. Thanks Aileen, Brett, and the Caliber team! read more

Team Brett is second to none. Brett & Serena are an amazing team that makes financing a home fun again! They take all the pain out of it. When you make a call to them, they actually answer the phone and have answers. They take the time to make it personal, making you feel like you are the only client they service. We fell out of escrow on our first house, but they just helped us pick up the pieces and assured us it was for the better. The home we just closed on was funded with them in less than three weeks, AMAZING!! Our only regret on finding our new home is now we won't be talking with Brett & Serena for awhile. They are by far the best mortgage brokers we have ever worked with in real estate. Don't regret not calling them, do it today! read more

Brett and Serena Extremely professional and friendly. Serena went above and beyond to get our loan done. Couldn't be happier.

Brett is amazing to work with. He is so knowledgeable of different loan instruments and what would make sense for needs. He suggested something we were not aware of and it was game changing. It meant that we did not have to touch our stock for the downpayment. The margin loan allowed us to purchase our dream home with ocean views and at the same time have our stock continue to grow untouched. He was available every step of the way and was our champion in getting the loan through. Buying a home can be so stressful, but with Brett, I had so little stress. We are forever grateful. read more

Having mortgage brokers in your corner who you know are your advocates and getting you the best possible deal is a great feeling and lets you enjoy the whole buying process much more. Brett and Serena were always available to answer questions and shed light on things I didn't understand. I have had the great pleasure of working with Brett Lightner and his team at Caliber home loans on several occasions. He is a go to get to it lender that puts the money where his mouth is. I cannot express how much I respect him and his team including Serenda Bell (who is amazing). He closed my most recent transaction in less than 2 weeks with a very complicated scenario. Not once did he waver in his commitment to the client or the ethical protocols that lenders are required to follow. If I could give him 10 stars I would. Thank you, Brett and Serena. read more

Brett did a refi for me and screwed me, He told me one thing and did a another. He had hidden fees and told me the interest rate was 6 and slid in on the final paper work 6.5 with points. Dont trust him or the company he works at he is a snake. He does not deserve any stars period. read more

We had the pleasure of working with Brett and Serena on our home loan. We have only tried for the past ten years to get this done. They were able to accomplish a very difficult loan for us. Most of our income is untaxable income coming from many sources. It took a long time and most lenders would have given up, even we were ready to give up. Serena kept encouraging us that we are almost there, I am so glad we did. All I can say is thanks again for all your help, Brett, Serena, and the Caliber Family. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Brett and his team. They guided my wife and I through the first-time home buying process with great expertise and patience. They were incredibly friendly, efficient, diligent and responsive, and answered every question I had clearly and accurately. I compared pricing across the board, and not only were we getting access to the best loan pricing available, but also an amazing local team, who worked seamlessly with my broker and did a wonderful job of getting everything done and closed in timely fashion. Brett also nudged me to rate lock on Election Day and that decision made a huge difference to the loan pricing I was able to get; this alone is worth 6 stars! I highly recommend working with Brett and his team. You could not be in better hands. read more

My husband and I cannot say enough about Brett and his team at Caliber Home Loans. We closed on our home and recently moved in. Words do not suffice the appreciation and gratitude we have for Brett. He came as a recommendation from our Realtor. Now we understand why. Brett was extremely knowledgeable and walked us through all of our options. Brett excelled and exceeded where other mortgage companies could not. Although we ran into some challenges and obstacles during the process, Brett was patient and always had a solution. He was professional and always responded in a timely manner. We closed on time, and truly felt that Brett was invested in helping us to get our home. Brett has developed the ultimate team. Caitlin and Serena are the best team members in making Brett look good. In the past, we always dreaded the whole process of refinancing. With the weekly updates, it really helped us feel confident that our goal was being accomplished. Team Brett brought us joy from the first moment we met them. I just closed on a house and I had to write a review on how amazing Brett and his team were. Brett was honest, reliable and extremely efficient. When I started the home search process I contacted 5 different mortgage providers to get different rates and get to know them. Brett blew everyone away. He was so efficient and always took the time to answer my questions and he knew his stuff. I am so glad that I went with Brett and his team. They closed the deal so quickly, less than 3 weeks! Even the seller of the house who flips houses told me that the team that I used was so efficient and made the process pleasant and easy and was so great to work with. I cant say enough nice things about Brett. I am just sooooo grateful that Brett was there. This was my first house purchase and he educated me on all the things that I should know, gave me advice on future issues that may arise and said that if I had any questions too in the future I could always contact him. If you are thinking of buying a home or refinancing or whatever, I HIGHLY recommend contacting Brett. You will be so glad you did. If you are a seller and you see that the buyer is using Brett, you are very lucky. Thanks Brett and the Cobalt Mortgage team. I love my new home!!! Mariam Thomas, M.D read more
