Great food. Great beer. Only visiting here, but would come back again if I lived here

Except for the Giant Fiddle at the harbor in Sydney my main interest was finding my way to the Breton Brewery. So we hopped in a cab and took the 10 minute drive over to Breton and enjoyed ourselves sampling some delicious brews. The brewery is located in an industrial area and has an open end that makes it feel big. Others from our ship had also made the journey and we all sat and enjoyed this together. The fellow serving was really a nice down to earth sort of guy and made great conversation. read more

Cool place to try some craft beer and see the whole process. They have a great variety of beer, cider, and wine. As a designer, I was loving the giant chalkboard and boards describe beer process. Hats off to her and her awesome talent! read more

Off the beaten path in Sydney, this place was a gem. Terrific tap selection (Black Angus IPA was my favorite), the bartender & locals were incredibly friendly & welcoming. Well worth the visit! read more

We came in on a cruise ship and decided to visit Breton Brewing on a Monday afternoon. With no car and it being a beautiful day, we decided to walk the 6km to the brewery (basically from the largest fiddle). It took about 1.5 hours and it was worth. every. step. Seriously, this brewery is a must visit if you like good beer at all. Usually, there are a couple of beers that I like at a brewery and a couple I don't. However, every single beer was a delicious. And to add to the experience, the staff and brew masters were fantastic and friendly. Although small, their beer tour was one of the best tours we've ever been on (and we've done a lot). My only disappointment is that they don't export beers to where I can buy them in NY. If you're reading this and you've decided to quench your thirst at one of the best breweries in the world, then enjoy (and excuse me while I envy you). read more

Lauren and team are phenomenal to work with and take care of every detail. All staff member were friendly, kind and accommodating. Love, love, love this place. Touring Nova Scotia with my wife Sept 2017. Visited here early afternoon on a Friday and was pleasantly surprised find a food truck parked outside serving food and live entertainment inside. Staff were very friendly and helpful. After a flight of beers, fell in love with Sons of Hector brown ale. We were the only tourists in the place and were made to feel like locals. While we were there several people came in for growler refills (always a good sign). Needless to say I purchased a growler of Sons of Hector with the promise I'd be back the next day for a refill. When I came back for my refill Saturday evening, same great staff, same great beer. Only negative was the place was hard to find. The building was tucked back and difficult to see from the road. Not a place wou want to miss. read more
