This place is one of those little gems that make me long for my time out East. Wonderful people, wonderful food and drink. Bang for buck you just don't get this type of atmosphere or love of food in Ontario. read more

The entire cafe has a cozy diner setup with plenty of seating. We decided to start the day with a simple bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich as well as a hot chocolate. The food was quickly prepared and brought to us. The hot chocolate was rich and warm while the sandwich was light yet filling. The cafe also offers boxed lunch options for the road which is a terrific option for travelers and visitors hitting the trail like us. My only complaint is that they were only open from Thursday to Monday, because I would easily return every morning!

They seated us right beside our bar seat (30 minutes later at a table that was never occupied). No one approached us for over an hour. When we said we were leaving because no one spoke to us, the person who made us our drinks argued with me and said she did not know where we went. We went 3 feet from where she served us drinks. Others nearby were served. I asked a waitress who was nearby about a server and she said she would find out who had our table. A few minutes later we saw three servers arguing about who had to serve us. After 30 more minutes we left. I wish we hadn't stopped to pay. It was $43. No tip. No way. Also the sangria sucked. Stay away!!! And what they can do is care and be kind. Also I would give zero stars but I can't so I will give it one star because Nathan MacDonald was singing and he was amazing. Restaurant gets zero stars.
