Their recommendations on chairs, wallpaper, light fixtures... every piece is both memorable and timeless. I got a number of quotes before going with Hudson & Crane, and I truly can't imagine a better bang for your buck!

I would recommend using Hudson & Crane design services to anyone!…read more My husband and I moved into a new home and wanted help attaining an entirely fresh, cohesive look for the open layout first floor. The team at Hudson & Crane has given us a GORGEOUS space built around our vision but more wonderful than our wildest dreams. The process began by sharing our design aesthetic ideas, color preferences and goals for our home. The team got to know us personally and helped us articulate the "feel" we were aiming for. They presented a sample design with choices for each item in the look. We were ecstatic with the design, the pieces and how fabulously the team understood our vision! The furniture pieces, wallpapers and lighting choices were beautiful and unique. We knew early on, based on H&C's selections that we were going to be thrilled with the end result. The team has been responsive throughout the process as we made our decisions and awaited pieces. They work with a warehouse that receives, inspects and stores items to be delivered in batches. We've really loved that the pieces are inspected and the team handles any issues seamlessly for us. We are extremely happy with our completed space! We love living in it, and everyone who visits our home raves about the look. We're very happy that we put our trust in the Hudson & Crane team, they definitely delivered.

We had been searching for marble tile for an entrance hall in our apartment in Georgetown Park…read moreCondominiums in a wide variety of on-line and retail stone/tile companies in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. We ventured into the beautiful Stona showroom on Grace Street in Georgetown and were pleasantly surprised to find a marble mosaic that suited our purpose. The Stona staff were very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The owner, Mert Bakan promptly came to our apartment, took measurements and provided a very reasonably priced bid to do all the work including demolition and re-tiling. One of the things that we liked about Stona is that they have their own craftsmen, unlike many other stone retailers who could only recommend independent contractors whom we then would have to contact to do the installation. Stona provided a full service. Within a week of accepting their offer Stona sent two installers to do the job; small by comparison to many jobs (38 ft2). The installers were very careful removing the existing woodwork, which they refitted and replaced at the end of the job without damaging anything. (Frequently the demolition requires replacing the moldings.) The demolition of the existing floor was done without much disruption and the installation was very professional. Mert Bakan came to inspect the job before the installers left and to make sure we were satisfied with the entire process. He and his staff are friendly, helpful, and efficient as well as attentive to detail from start to finish. We are very satisfied with the finished product and would highly recommend Stona based on quality of materials, professionalism, price and overall efficiency.

A polar experience, a different day, a different planet. Let's accept that that one day was just a remarkable exception. Today, super helpful, friendly staff who shared specific and potent ideas about color matching, contrasting and blending fabric v. leather etc. We left smarter, with guidance and great direction re a sofa we really like, in a great fabric on view, and chair we might equally. If you like this type of furniture styling, then Georgetown and Tysons shops are winner. ----- Stars for the service- lack. Lovely scandi-modern furniture if it is to your taste. High end prices but not atmospheric. Service, super, on our day, if your goal is to browse without sales interruptions. That is, ignored is bliss, if sought. But we needed some. And when we sought attention-- a tear sheet, a question, an anything-- no ability to get an acknowledgement from any of the salespeople. Not a one. Perturbing, to say the least, to a thickskinned shopper. Quite liked an Osaka reddish sofa, tufted with angled arms, there but that's a Bo sale likely lost, as there were as friendly sofas we liked at Room and Board, with available nice folks. Super.

He said it was very expensive. I looked very closely at the materials and mentioned that it was not real wood, either MDF or Particle Board with veneer as well as made in China. My friend said that is impossible as he was assured it was real solid wood made in Denmark. I said to him, I will cut part of his furniture and if it is not MDF or Particle Board I would buy and replace it. Lo and behold it was Particle Board. I have yet to find out what my friend did after I left his dinner invitation.
