Went today to watch a movie, advertised at 11:15. Look like a gost town. Opened the door, black inside, a women, and young man inside. I ask are you open, she replied with hate in her voice. No were closed on Thursday. I replied that's not what online says. She replied with the most hateful voice, that's not what my website says. Horrible customer service. The place was a mess. If you have any other options to go see a movie do it !!! Avoid this theater, it's so run down there are seats broken in some rows. I really think they keep the theater dark so you don't see all the grime/dirt. This theater really needs a major upgrade or overhaul. Service is a joke everyone is corralled to the concession stand to purchase their ticket and/or snacks. The only thing saving this theater is their prices. We love our movie theater, we especially love going on $5.00 on Monday, just went last week and got to watch two new movies.

Would not really recommend unless you have ABSOLUTELY nothing else left to do and even then I would rather stand around in Walmart. When you enter the theater you get inline and wait, they sell the tickets with the snacks so if you don't want snacks you still wait in line for everybody in front of you to get their snacks. Go back to the way it was and sell the tickets at the outside window ( that's why it's there) that way you go in and watch the movie, if you want snacks than go get them that way your not holding up people. read more

I love going to the movies. I've been to much nicer theaters, but I've been to much smaller, grosser theater. This one is very average. Sound works, picture is good. As far as I understand, the seats are new and they seemed fine to me. Its not stadium seating which is make or break for some people, but not for me. Wednesdays I believe they have discounted tickets. I do have a quick story: one time I brought my nice reusable water bottle because I'm a mom of young children and am constantly dehydrated + I'm also against single-use plastic, especially water bottles when its so easy to use a durable/reusable water bottle. The manager (or she seemed in charge) patronized me for bringing in my water bottle and would not let me bring it in. Really? Its not like I was sneaking in soda and candy... I also saw her demeaning and berating other employees... not cool boss lady. Not cool. read more

This theater is old, broken, and really inefficient at serving snacks and selling tickets. The seats are uncomfortable, many are broken, and it sucks to not have stadium seating. During rush times they really should sell tickets at their booth in front, so those of us not wanting snacks don't have to wait to buy tickets behind those that are. You can pour your own butter, but if you want it in the middle of the bag, you have to add it yourself after the server has given you half a bag full, then walk back to the server to get the rest of your popcorn - inefficient and it slows down the line. On the flip side, service is friendly. The sound and visuals are fine, it's probably best to avoid action movies at this theater as you probably wouldn't get the best experience. Overall I'd say avoid the theater, unless you just can't leave town. Instead drive to Laughlin, have a nice meal, shop a bit, and see a movie there. The prices are comparable and Laughlin or even Vegas has better theaters. read more

This is a small 4 theater venue in a small town. It is very clean and well run. First run movies at a very good price. They offer great specials for most movies. Friendly staff. This is a nice small theater that is very antiquate for the size of the town it is in. read more

I used to love coming here, the positive thing is that the staff is friendly. Even the boss lady has gotten friendlier over the years. Though it is starting to be more convenient to drive to Star Cinema in Lake Havasu or Riverside in Laughlin. Lately the hours are not consistent they will post showtimes for weekend and change them midweek, so planning with family has been difficult. Additionally my teens cannot go see rated r films without a parent but out of 4 screens there are 3 rated r films. I get it movie theaters are restricted by release but surely there was another pg13 or lower movie. The prices at night are also getting hefty, if they raise them any higher then the gas money spent driving elsewhere for a better bigger theater would be worth it. Considering there is no stadium seating or alcohol served, maybe the theater should focus less on it's asthetic and focus what this town needs. Something convenient and fun for the public. read more

Bought tickets on fandango so my kids and I wouldn't have to wait in line for the movie. Got there and went up to have my tickets printed and I asked the lady for a large popcorn as well, and she said she would only print me the tickets. If I wanted popcorn I'd have to wait in line. The line was huge by the way. Then she got on me about bringing water in and took my cup and my sons cup away, or she gave me the option to go back to my car. Just rude and poor customer service. It was like being punished for being smart and buying my tickets ahead of time so that I don't have to wait in line. read more

Nice little theater. Surprised there's only one in town. It is old, but it works. We were comfortable and enjoyed the movie!

Brendan Theaters is the only theater house in Kingman, AZ. The next closest are Laughlin or Havasu. Brendan's small. I tihnk they need to open the box office and lobby at least 30 to 45 minutes before the first movie starts. read more

I've lived in Kingman for 12 years and I do everything I can to avoid going to Brendan. It's a pretty awful theater on every conceivable level. You're almost guaranteed to experience something that ruins the movie for you, be it a malfunction with the projector or sound, long lines, a drunk in the crowd or someone stricken with the Bubonic Plague who is hacking their guts out, someone laughing incessantly for no discernible reason, sticky floors, seats emanating a beer-fart smell, .etc. Save your money, go to Havasu or Laughlin and make a day of it. The theaters out there are somehow cheaper, but the snacks are better, the aesthetics of the grounds are more spacious, cleaner, smell nicer and the service is better. The visuals and sound quality of the theaters in Havasu/Laughlin are substantially better, as well. Whenever I want to take my family to see a movie, we'll go out to Havasu on a weekday morning and we always get our money's worth... and the drive out there is nice, too! Stay away from this theater. It's probably best for your health and wallet that you do. read more

I would bet the same people who Complain all day along about our Neighborhood Theater are the ones who would also Complain the loudest if we had NO Theatre at all. Remember when we did not? Brenden stepped in and saved this traditional family entertainment. I agree concessions are overpriced but not as extreme as Laughlin. Remember, Laughlin is 30 minutes from Kingman, I'd MUCH rather relax, without the 1 hr. trip, run up and enjoy a movie here. Be grateful there is one at all in a town this small. read more

Sticky floors, gum under every arm rest, broken seats and it smells like garbage. The screens are ancient like everything else in the building and half the time the sound system bugs out during the movie and it is either deafeningly loud or muffled to the point that you cant follow the dialogue. A 4 screen theater that has the nerve to charge nearly twice what you would pay in Laughlin or Havasu which are WAY nicer. Because this is the only theater in town they feel they can get away with raping you in the wallet despite the pathetic quality of this theater. You would be better off waiting and watching the movie you want to see on DVD, so would the rest of us actually... Maybe if the lose enough business they will lower their prices and stop ripping off all of their patrons. read more

, I have been here MANY times and last night I took my little brother with me to see a rated R movie, which again I have done MANY times in the past and they refused the people "adults" before us due to no id,refused the 5 of us, then refused the adults after us. I understand there are rules but again I've done this so many times at this theater.The employees were extremely rude and I will no longer give them my service. This theater may be old and small...but Kingman has a theater and you won't find nicer staff anywhere who are helpful and kind like they are at Brenden Kingman! You always get friendly service! I don't know them all by name, but I do know Annette and she is awesome! They do their best so us Kingman folks can enjoy a movie...and the sound and visuals are fine. P.S. The building is small, so are the theaters, but the size is just right for Kingman. They must have repaired the seats as stated in other reviews. I haven't seen any broken or ripped, of course I haven't sat in all seats in all theaters. I've seen young men sweeping theaters after one show and before the start of the other. They have great popcorn! Cut them some slack, I'm sure it's not a big money maker for Brenden but at least we have a nice little theater with up to date movies. read more

I am going to start by saying that I have never done a review before but after my experience I have never been more disappointed and need to speak out. We went to see a movie and purchased our tickets and snacks 75.00 later we are told the movie theater to go into. Now I will say I did not check my tickets; however, how many people do. We were sent into the theater sat through the previews and then realized they had sent us into the wrong theater. Our other movie had started so it was too late to switch. The theater offered us to come back later; however, this was not an option. The part that bothered me the most was when I spoke with the manager he stated well sometimes miscommunications happen... no apology. This is said like we misunderstood what theater number to go into... No we heard quite well. We decided to try the movie; however, it turned out to be completely inappropriate for my 8 year old and my husband had to take him out. I stayed with my other two and my father-in-law, however, the people in back found it necessary to commentate the entire movie extremely loudly. When I spoke to the theater manager it took me twice expressing frustration with the rude movie goers before they would go in and say anything. I wouldn't give it 1 star if possible. Bought tickets early in the day for a special showing at 7pm. Went in and got our snacks. Asked the ticket taker if the theatre was available and he said no, he would have to clean it. 5 minutes before the show is suppose to start we get asked what we're here to see. Then we're told to the line was outside after sitting there for 45 minutes. Their own employee told us to wait where we were sitting. Then they tell us back of the line. it wouldn't be bad but there were other people waiting there with us. The girl who took my snack order was told what show we had tickets for. Bunch of crap. I have been to three other Brendan Theaters and I would think they would be embarrassed to have their name on this one. Latest experience was we got to watch our movie with one of the city's trash cans brought in from outside and sitting by the emergency exit door of the theater. Not sure if that was what smelled or if it was just that this place is old and smells. I also don't understand how you buy your ticket and are told to line up outside the door. Nobody polices it so the dozen or so that hung out around the snack bar area were let in before us in line although we had been there almost 30 minutes. read more

This is a very small theater and only four choices, it would be ok for a small town movie place , however they sell movie tickets at concessions line so you have no choice but to wait in horribly long lines just to get in. It used to be you could buy your tickets first, go in and be seated and one or two of your party could wait in concessions line...not anymore. This is the worst movie theater I have ever been to. Had to stand in line for a half an hour just to buy a ticket. They had no person selling just tickets. Forced to go through the food and tickets line because their butter machine was broken and then the ticket seller lady was rude and hostile instead of being apologetic and friendly. I'm not a huge fan of going to the movies. People are rude and you can't rewind the movie if you miss something. But this theater has a "cozy" feel to it and I haven't really felt annoyed at any of the 3-4 movies I've now seen there, well except for the people eating nachos near me. Smell was making me nauseous. We had popcorn/drinks once but usually have dinner first so don't need to chow down during the film. It amazes me at what you can now get to eat at the theatre... nachos, hot dogs, etc. How do people afford it?? read more

Went today. Still as bad as ever. Never improves. To many previews. To loud. Poor seating. Overpriced concessions. Went for Senior Day. They did not bother to include in the local paper listings the fact that the show we went to see was excluded. Did not find out until we were already at the theater.
