The bartender seemingly a seasoned gentleman who appeared to hate his job so much that he could not even smile or look in my direction as he had a total of maybe six people at the bar. He did point me to the front desk after he spoke the words just go to the front and they'll help you. I came in from side entrance, carrying my bag in my clothes. Which should've given it away... At least he pointed me in the right direction. I guess. I made it to the front desk where Gillian and (Justin -maybe- he was quite but seemed to be accommodating) let me use a charger for my phone and offered me the option to sit at the bar and she would come find me when the Instacart driver arrived. Also, she pointed me towards the front entrance as I came in Beach side, apparently. I am grateful that she was spot on as driver did show up exactly where she thought! My overall feel is probably skewed because there was some kind of occasion that people were in the lobby being photographed and having fun! I was surprised at how artistic and upscale the interior of this hotel was that I didn't even realize a hotel all of these years! I've driven a bazillion times and never knew there was this hidden jam of a place there is right in plain sight on Lido Beach! While we never did see any Vineyard Vines clothing (not to say it isn't in there) we did see similar styles and immediately gravitated towards the bright and fun colors of some Southern Tide swim trunks. Aside from men's clothing, Island Pursuit also has styles for women and for kids. Everything seemed to be colorful and fun and in the theme of coastal, nautical and resort ware. Being familiar with many of the brands they carry, like Toad & Co and Tommy Bahama, I know they specialize in higher-end, quality styles.

Out of all the "seasons" I've never been so impressed & truly enamored by a Lilly employee. This store has a gem, she be little herself, but full in heart & mind with her knowledge & passion for this iconic brand. Her name is Madeline. She is a glowing, kind & genuine soul, smiling, walking rolodex of all seasons Lilly. All styles Lilly. Past & present. The lady knows all regular & repeat customers favorites, tastes, knows every single piece name, even for helping just the walk in first timer, future Lilly lover, shopper. She is knowledgeable for not just ladies, but men & littles too, which means so much bc I'm a mama & a wife, so I need help with them all. I'll call the store from states away & give her a pathetic description, within seconds she rattles off what i'm looking for, whether they have it, & if not sources the item for me! But I won't leave out that Batman always has a Robin & Lilly Pulitzer herself, always had Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Well, if Madeline is Lilly, then Michelle is her Jackie O.! My kids are 7 & 8, their whole life I've taken them everywhere shopping. Lilly SK's always been a place I knew they'd not fuss at having to go. Mostly in part to the fact they offer a kid's coloring table and coloring wall. Our last visit in the store I was saddened to see the new manager had removed all coloring utensils. Michelle saw how sad they were & quickly rectified the situation & made the kids day as well as this mama & gathered some crayons and coloring for them. That same day I overheard the store manager telling a customer she doesn't like prints. How can you say those words under a Lilly roof. My jaw dropped!
