Also gave tips on mask cleaning. I ended up buying a snorkel because the change in my snorkel's flexibility was too great. Really super customer service, helping me understand my gear better without making me feel stupid about it. Also gave a couple nice location ideas for my snorkel trip. I highly recommend them for snorkeling, even if you aren't a SCUBA diver.

I was horrified to be charge almost $300 for regs that now leak (none did at the last dive). They told up one octo had a minor leak, which, fine, can and does happen. However, upon trying to use the "functional" set, we found the primary now leaks dangerously (and no one there noticed, never mind said anything). I've attempted to contact them without response (phone and email). I'll update this if the issue is satisfactorily resolved.

Even though I had a bunch of questions, they were awesome about answering every one and made me feel welcome to join the dive even though I had limited experience and didn't know anyone. I stopped by Madison Scuba to rent my equipment and they were super helpful and again, I gained more confidence about the upcoming dive weekend. The dive weekend was great. Although I was a newbie, they never made me feel like it. They were always very inclusive, patient, and understanding. Had I known what I do now, I would have become certified with them instead to receive way better training plus they are $200 cheaper than what I paid on vacation. We originally started coming here because my kids were a little small for their age and didn't have the muscle or fat mass to keep them warm in normal pools. The warm pool at Diventures has been great for them, allowing them to gain confidence in their swimming abilities, independence in the water, and progressive, visible advancement of their skills! I think they might be better swimmers than Mom and Dad at this point :) We recently went to Mexico and they swam in the ocean many times without me having to worry literally every second that they were going to drown - which made it more enjoyable for everyone! I searched for hours looking for the right place to charter a boat that was big enough for my group of 15-20. Everything I found only held up to 10 people or held 50 or more, and they required that you purchase food and drink packages from them. Bob allowed us to bring all our own food and drinks so on top of being one of the most reasonably priced boats, we saved money on food and drinks too. Captain Bob was ridiculously accommodating for our group. He knew that traffic would be terrible because of the weekend we had our adventure so he offered to pick up our booze from Binny's that morning so we didn't' have to carry it down to the boat. He also went and got us cups since we forgot them. All in all, it was amazing and you should go visit!

I was amazed that when he saw my goggles were not good, he just said that I should replace them. Not once did he mention buying from them. I did check prices on the internet. The campgrounds themselves are well-kept and honestly massive. Can't even imagine how many campsites they have. Ours in particular was in quite the open space with tons of grass, but there are plenty of options that are more wood-like and covered. Nice they have electric hook up options, as we were traveling with both tents and RVs. Hiking trails were awesome too, wow. Really enjoyed our excursions out and about, winding through the woods, rocky up-hills, and taking in the beautiful lake views. Also awesome? The beach and the attached gift shop/restaurant. Super duper well-kept. Tons of beach space (though it was still packed!) with clean sand and shallow waters, great for the kiddos. Also that gift shop is more of a convenience store- it's got it all! The adject ice cream shop was also enjoyed by everyone we traveled with. My only small gripe was the lack of garbage cans. I feel like this is some kind of state-park rule maybe? I don't know there was only one area with dumpsters and unless you trek over there, you're kind SOL with wrappers, ice cream cups, rubbish left over from your restaurant meal, etc. 100% will return here, whether it's for future camping, just hiking outings, or beach days.

We camped at Upper Ice Age campground and it was perfect - the sites are spread out so you're not too close to neighbors and there are two bathrooms and water stations that make it easy to do your business. The bathroom located in UIA could be cleaner but the showers and bathrooms right down the hill are great and not too far away.
