Guests were very loud and rowdy, during our July visit. Had to call the front desk at midnight due to excessive noise, but no one was avail to answer the phone. The party finally ended at 2 am. When I told the front desk the next day, they said, Oh, there is a family reunion going on. Decided to book a visit again, but for during the week, so it would be quieter. Got voicemail...when they called me back to book (2:53 pm), I had gotten busy, and gave the wrong dates. The phone call lasted 6 min, ending at 2:59 pm. As soon as I hung up, I realized my mistake and called back immediately (3 pm...1 min after hanging up) and wanted to change the date. They informed me I had to pay the $35 cancellation fee. No exceptions. Needless to say, I did not rebook. $35 to change the dates after making an error 1 min prior. Terrible customer service.

The barrel sauna and awesome sling chaise's with cup holders for that outdoor bar convenience

A newly renovated, fresh, welcoming retreat! Had the pleasure staying there with my Dad!! -the room and bathroom were so nice and clean! And I am a Freak when it comes to hotel rooms!! Especially when I " think" it's clean then I see that one hair and I'm skeeved out till I leave!!!! Not Here! They had an adorable and charming little set up ( kind of like a quick bar ) with a microwave, small fridge, water and fresh baked cookies wrapped in precious little papers so each one was "protected" from wandering hands!! And those cookies were INDEED fresh and homemade!!! Delicious !!! I munched on two at 1:00 in the morning because of my insomnia. But this was not their fault.. the bed was lush and breezy cozy!! Also a gas fireplace for added coziness which was operated by a quick turn of the timer. Smart idea to keep everyone safe! A balcony overlooking the pool and patio with gas fire pits and a very cool sauna that was like a giant barrel! Easily fitting 3 people for a nice intimate experience. I was lucky to have met the owner when we went down for free breakfast. ( get to that soon)They kept it open for us since we were 15 minutes late and were so gracious about it. Different styles eggs and crisp bacon ( so important here! Who wants greasy fatty bacon! Not many including me) Parfait with super fresh fruit and a lovely bar/restaurant setting with all the amenities!!! This was the best "free" breakfast I've seen in a LONG time! Oh and the fresh squeezed orange & grapefruit juice was so refreshing I filled up on 3 glasses! Ok the owner- a lovely lady who was so happy to meet us and was genuine in her personality, not like others who kiss your .... Well you know! She also told us she was putting in an outdoor bar along side the pool, which she was going over with her designer/contractor at the time. So- a beautiful location, cleanliness, hospitality to its fullest and everything else I mentioned *Definitely a reason to stay!!! I have a house in Charlestown but I'll come back just because it was a relaxing change of pace and the experience was so inviting.... We ALL need to feel special RIGHT! Go and live the life right here! Hats off to a great owner who knows her stuff!

There is no where else to stay if you are going to Misquamicut Beach. No matter where you stay in this area, the rooms will be expensive so you might as well stay somewhere that is worth the money. Its not located directly on the beach but about 2 blocks away, which is perfect because most of the places on the beach are trashy and full of loud people. Don't worry though cuz they own a section of the beach that is roped off just for patrons of the Breezeway but I find myself hanging out at the pool because it is a lot warmer than the ocean and very peaceful.

A bit pricy for my taste, I did book last minute for one person at almost 500.00 for a Saturday night; if I added another for pool only it was like 35$ additional so I opted not to. The room was big and beautiful, friendly check in, free breakfast. They have a private beach, free bike rental, and convenient parking.

Cute resort. Supposedly they own the whole block. They have their own private beach just a short walk away. The room was your typical motel room with a tiny bathroom but it was clean and well stocked with clean towels so I'm happy. Service is good but it's our first night here so I will update if anything changes.

View from the upper pool deck. American flag, Hammock, waterfall, chairs, umbrellas, grill, bicycles

She made a lunch reservation for five in the Bistro. We walked through the stately lobby and bar area to get to the Bistro. We we seated at a round window table with a great view of the private beach for hotel guests. Of course, there was a pristine white tablecloth and napkins plus fresh Calla Lillies on the table. Flatware was top notch. Glasses were thin walled French. Condiments including tiny bottle of hot sauce were in sealed containers on each table. Salt was in a porcelain bowl. Service was impeccable from start to finish. (Pics of menu included.) Orders: Warm Lobster Roll with Truffle Frites. ($48.) for me. It was very good with chunks of sweet lobster, and the fries were outstanding. I also enjoyed the Carrot Ginger Soup. It was amazing with a pleasing sweet flavor from the carrots and a tangy note from the freshly grated ginger. Texture was perfect. My daughter and I seriously want the RECIPE. Two Burgers ($34. each) very good One steak -- tender ($48.) One half Turkey Club and cup of soup (very good) Side added of Mashed Potatoes -- unusual flavor of mustard and vinegar in a hot mashed? All the hotels were ok but none would let us check in early. We wanted showers so bad after that drive. Got there the hotel is right on the water. We were greeted in the parking lot and given a parking spot . Check-in was easy rooms were clean. The neighborhood is so fun full of cute little shops. So happy that he found this hotel. When we checked out and were about three hours away from the hotel, we realized we left my daughter's favorite blanket in the room. Doesn't seem like a big deal, but this was a huge disaster! I called the office and Al said that he would go look for it, he called me back, found the blanket and actually took time out of his life to mail it to our house. So thankful for him and the staff at the hotel. They went above and beyond anything they had to do. I would highly recommend this cute hotel on the beach and the staff.

At over $615 per night, we expected a much better experience\. When we arrived, the toilet in our room was broken\. It took approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to repair, during which time we couldn't use the bathroom or shower before going out to dinner\. The bathtub also wasn't draining properly until we finally figured out a way to get it to drain ourselves\. In addition, the refrigerator wasn't cold on the first day\. We had actually called ahead to ask them to make sure it was turned on because we experienced the same issue during a previous stay\. The next day, we returned to the room to put our baby down for a nap and found contractors installing new carpet directly outside our door\. The constant hammering and nailing made it impossible for our baby to sleep\. We asked if the work could pause for just an hour, but we were told no\. The only solution offered was to move us to a much smaller room where the only bathroom was located inside the children's sleeping area, which wasn't a practical option for our family\. The staff offered us a bottle of wine as compensation, we declined\. We then asked if there was another way to make the situation right, such as adjusting our room rate, but the manager said no\. We've always enjoyed staying at The Whaler's Inn, which makes this experience particularly frustrating\. Maintenance issues can happen, but multiple room problems, disruptive construction during the day without accommodation, and the lack of a meaningful resolution left us feeling that the value did not match the price we paid\. We hope management will take this feedback seriously and improve the guest experience\.we will not be coming back . I do not recommend - the staff were SO RUDE

It's never easy taking over a B&B, and the family that now runs this place seems very nice, and hospitable. That said, at $450 or more per night, execution is requisite for a high Yelp rating. We stayed here four 4-days and 3-nights in the Rosa room. Each room here is somewhat unique (I think there are only 8 rooms here), therefor experiences may be somewhat idiosyncratic to the specific room. Positives: + Hospitable welcome, alerted us by phone when the rooms was ready + Welcome gift (nice touch) + Large room + Gas fireplace which worked well + Comfortable king bed + Pleasant grounds + Separate entrance for this room + Convenient location + Excellent homemade breakfast with seating times to prevent crowding Negatives: - Road noise (on a very busy road, traffic including trucks 100 feet away) - Musty smelling, we couldn't keep windows open at night due to road noise - No sugar, etc. in room for coffee - Bathroom outlets not working - Bathroom door difficult to close - Blinds were broken on one side, and just left standing in the corner of the room, these should have been removed if they could not be repaired - Large piece of plastic left on the window sill, looked dirty there, not well cleaned - Uncomfortable sleep sofa couch for sitting and small TV - Microwave not working (actually it was after we figured out nobody plugged it in) - Outside light over door is on automatic timers, too bright for the light filtering shade, so the room is lit up at night (we prefer a dark room for sleeping) - Rosa backs up to the kitchen, and we could hear a lot of banging and noise at 10pm as they were doing prep work for the next morning The negatives balance out the positives for a 3-star stay. Bottom line, we'd be unlikely to return, especially to that room.
