Usually in connection with some good breweries (3 Floyds) and they have food trucks! Small-ish store but they pack it full. Plenty of choices and more than enough staff around to help with questions and keep checkouts moving.

The best part is that the people are so kind and even if you have a dumb question, they don't make you feel stupid, so feel free to ask them allllll the questions about all of the products ha ha ha. They also have a point system that you can start for free so be sure to use your phone number. Now, they also have a bar right upstairs that they also own. Turns out you can use your points upstairs at their bar as well!! I haven't been to the bar yet, but I absolutely cannot wait to go because I've heard it has a really cool and chill environment. I can't recognize this place enough. Do yourself a favor and head over to Rays!

Skatterbrain Dark Chocolate Banana Whiskey: Skatterbrain produces a plethora of eccentrically…read moreflavored whiskeys. Information on Skatterbrain is next to non-existent, but I can tell you that my "research" revealed all of their whiskeys share one thing in common (well maybe two if you include they're all fun flavors). That commonality is they all have an animal wearing sunglasses on the bottle. In the case of the Dark Chocolate banana Whiskey, it's appropriately a gorilla. Total Wine (where I purchased it) describes it as smooth Canadian whisky blended with the flavors of dark chocolate and banana with rich, fruity, and complex qualities. I question the reliability of that though as Skatterbrain spells it as "whiskey" on their bottle, which is typical of American and Irish Whiskey, but not Canadian "Whisky". I found the chocolate flavor to be stronger than the banana, but the two make an interesting combo. I wasn't bananas about it initially, but it grew on me, making it an acquired taste. I don't know how others drink this, but I found it worked nicely in my version of a "Dirty Monkey" (recipe below). Although I found this whiskey to my liking, I still prefer my go to banana rum for this type of drink. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews Doughboy Dirty Monkey: -30-50ml Dark Chocolate Banana Whiskey -5 oz milk of choice -1 tsp sugar free chocolate syrup -21g chocolate protein powder -1/4 diced large banana or 1/3 medium banana -1 tsp peanut butter -4 medium sized ice cubs -approximately 1/2 tsp xanthan gum to thicken -Blend well in a standard blender, pour and enjoy

Total Wine has a great selection of items. They carry just about anything you could want…read more They generally have impressive tastings that are really educational if you get the right employee doing them. The pre-order and parking lot pick-up option is a great time saver. This is especially important, because this is the area where Total Wine struggles - there are never, ever enough people working the registers and the lines to check out almost always suck. If they could be a little more mindful of that up front, they'd be a five star store.

I've been a loyal customer at Total Wine Bayshore Glendale Wisconsin for years, spending thousands…read moreof dollars on wine for parties and events. This morning I ordered wine gifts online, picked up the first order in-store, and a few hours later re-ordered a couple more bottles after confirming the second recipient drinks wine. My wife (we're a married same-sex couple) was out running errands, so I called the store and offered to provide any information needed to prove it was my order (order number, details from the morning pickup, etc.). Staff refused, citing Wisconsin state law against 'third-party' pickups. Even after I explained she is my wife, they became combative and insisted she could not pick it up unless she had the exact same last name. They offered no solutions whatsoever, no option to cancel and re-order, nothing. Their employees were no help at all. What a complete waste of time today. To top it off, the bag they gave me with my first pickup was ripped and unusable when I got home. That was the last straw. We will never shop at Total Wine again. There are plenty of liquor stores in Wisconsin that actually value their customers. Total Wine feels too big and corporate -- it's all about the dollar, not the customer. I highly recommend shopping elsewhere and supporting local businesses instead. Extremely disappointed after years of loyalty. Instead, I highly recommend shopping at local spots like Downer Avenue Wine & Spirits (great selection and friendly service on the East Side) or Otto's Wine & Spirits (multiple convenient locations with solid inventory). They've been much more helpful in the past.
