They have a great selection of select Whiskies. I've been a customer for years, but only recently discovered their great selection.

So I was at Timers in early 2020, because I was supposed to pick up a specific type of spirit, the Kohler Chocolate Mint Brandy. I drove several hours from the Chicago area because they were the only ones who had this specific one. I had called ahead and had them hold 2 bottles. When I got there, they were super friendly and chill. It was quite a nice change from Chicago liquor stores who couldn't care less about their clients. The price was so good, I bought out their supply of the brandy. The staff I encountered were super friendly and their prices were great! The selection size is similar to any other liquor store but the variety of liquor available was better than most liquor stores of similar size! I would highly recommend this store, and when I make it back to WI, I'll for sure be stopping back there! read more

Went there bi-weekly for a pick up curbside order since March. $200 + per trip. Picked up for immunity compromised grandparents and our household. Called today and spoke to Ryan, told they are no longer doing curbside. Maybe not, but you would think curbside is an easier way to do it. With hours of advanced notice every time, Sometimes next day. Guess I am back to going to Roundys grocery. Only reason I switched there to begin with was to support local. I guess that now the economy is "open" they don't care. Thanks Ryan. I know I'm only one customer, but I do communicate better than- "we don't offer curbside because we are back to normal." read more

One of my favorite aspects of liquor stores in Wisconsin is that they might still have beers that have sold out in the Chicago area. The fact that New Glarus only distributes in Wisconsin makes it a worthwhile trip in itself, let alone if you are already in the area. Timers is no exception. I was able to pick up Great Lakes Blackout Stout and Bell's Batch 9000 (both long gone in Illinois), and New Glarus Belgian Red, Raspberry Tart, and Spotted Cow. Score! The people working at Timers are friendly and helpful. After chatting about their craft beer selection, one of them recommended that I check out their seasonal beer cooler, which was chock full of goodies. They also just started selling to-go growlers of beer. Right now they have Oberon and Tyranena Down 'N Dirty Stout. I had already blown through my beer budget, but this is a great addition to their selection. From the outside, Timers looks like any other liquor store, but the inside is spotless and well-lit. Never before have I seen a liquor store this easy on the eyes. Their prices are reasonable across the board. I was there for beer (shocker), but the prices on wine and liquor were good as well. Without trying to do all the math for the difference in sales and excise taxes, the total tax ends up being less than Illinois as well. Timers is a great place to go to stock up on whatever you need. read more

Be forewarned that they aren't practicing social distancing or wearing face masks at this establishment. In fact, I don't see indication that they realize they are putting their clientele (and themselves and each other) at risk. So if you know what you want and can forego browsing, order ahead and ask for curb pick up. read more

I supposed I am a bit spoiled living in the burbs of Chicago that when I go to liquor stores farther away or in WI that I am less impressed by their selection. Timer's is your run of the mill liquor store. They have a good selection and you should be able to find what you're looking for. For me, I hold liquor stores to a higher standard. They have the average selection of craft beer, pretty much what everyone else has. When I am in WI I try and get Ale Asylum beer and unfortunately they only had one 6 pack. They had plenty of New Glarus which isn't so bad. The prices were so so. Some beers / bottles were a little high and others were about average. All of the clerks were helpful and very nice. read more

Whenever I'm driving up from Chicago, I make sure to stop in at Timers Beverage to get my New Glarus beer and Three Lakes wine fix. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I tend to buy a lot of booze and the staff actually takes the time to properly pack everything and are even kind enough to help me place the items in my trunk without me even asking. The wine/beer/liquor variety is excellent. Reminds me of Binny's in Chicago. I would highly recommend going here if you're in the area. read more

Timers provided all the beer and wine and bartender for our wedding. They did a stellar job and the bartender was outstanding, friendly and provided exceptional customer service. I planned our night for months leading up to our event with Jason, and couldn't have been more happy with the level of care and attention they placed in our event. The bar-tending service was a nominal and nearly negligible fee that proved essential in bringing ease and comfort to the evening. They brought everything to the venue then back to the store. Just moved to Racine and Timers is closest liquor store to me. I thought AWESOME since it was so close. Man was I wrong. My first time in the store I over here the, who I believe is the main guy/owner, (BIG nose and funky glasses) telling who looks to me to be someone delivering product to shut his mouth! I thought it was a joke but the guy carried on by stating it's best to just keep your mouth shut. The customer/delivery guy kept it professional by just nodding his head and going about his business. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I walked right out. Later on that month my friend talked me into going back. So I went. As soon as I walk in the same guy with the HUGE ass nose and funky glasses is telling someone else they don't know what they are talking about. We can't find what we are looking for so we ask him for help. He chuckles at us in a "god are you stupid" kind of chuckle and just points to where it's at. We both just walked out. NEVER AGAIN will I go back. And it's a shame because it's so close to home. I give it 1 start but prefer to give it .000000000000001 star. TIMERS is a waste of TIME!
