After a disastrous ordeal ordering flowers who lied to me and told me they were a local florist in Lamesa, Texas, I had BREEN's recommended to me for this delivery to downtown Houston, to my grieving granddaughter. Melinda could not be kinder and more helpful, such a gentle, customer friendly lady. read more

Breen's is expensive. An order of several magnitude more so than DIY at Traders Joes so don't even try to compare. For an out of town friend needing floral delivery in the greater houston area, I appreciate the white glove service of Breen's. They handled the incorrect hospital room number and typo in my gift message very professionally in response to my voicemail left after hours. I didn't have to beg or convince them to do it, they just updated/verified as needed. Really appreciate the attention and receiving the photo of the gift. Also, I love that the arrangement substantially matches the photo. I am happy to pay the up charge for knowing that my flowers will look as beautiful in the photo vs a crapshoot of quality. That brings me a lot of confidence to be a repeat customer in the future. Thank you! read more

Had to finally review this florist. Just got the most amazing surprise Christmas arrangement. The flower arrangements are always beautiful and creative. It's beautiful and unlike any I've ever seen. My friend has been sending me flowers from here since I moved to Houston. My friend only uses this place. Not sure how my friend found them because doesn't live here. I'll try to come back and add some additional pictures of other arrangements that have been delivered to me. The flower arrangements are always unusual, flowers are fresh and last for several weeks. They're nothing like other "internet" type florists that deliver something that looks nothing like the photos on the website or that are delivered without care. Had one florist that delivered a box of flowers from a different friend who lives in another country and those flowers were on dry ice in the box after derecho storm when people were without power and I wasn't even home just throwing the box over the fence because they couldn't reach my house. Only found out about the delivery when my friend called because I'd never mentioned getting the flowers. Ok enough about bad florists. This one isn't it. The flowers are always delivered fresh and their delivery people make sure to hand you the arrangement fresh and it's not in a box. Something to be said about supporting local businesses. They take pride in their work. Highly recommend you check out Breen's Florist. They're amazing. read more

I wanted to order some arrangements to spruce up the office and Breen's Florist delivered. I went online, logged in as I discovered I have used them before. Selecting arrangements was easy, I chose 3 options and ordered last night. Today, I received a text with photos of my arrangements. A couple of hours later, they were delivered by a very nice delivery man. My only complaint is they are pricey, the arrangements are small, but beautiful. The smells are divine, I can't wait to see them in full bloom. It helps to use the rewards for having an account and setting reminders, which I took advantage of. They give you points for purchases too. Definitely recommend. read more

It's 2024, and Breen's is due for an update--one that I'm excited to help with! TIMELINE: - 9:18 AM 8/7/24 - Flowers ordered for a death in a coworker's family, wake scheduled at funeral home in Katy, TX for 1:00 PM, same day. - 9:43 AM 8/7/24: Florist has completed flowers, picture SENT via text - 12:10 PM 8/7/24 - Flowers delivered to funeral home R U KIDDING ME?! I'm incredibly impressed! I was amazed at how quickly my order was completed and even received a photo of the finished product. On top of that, they managed to deliver my order before the wake started! I reside in Austin, TX so ordering anything remotely, especially for same-day delivery, is always a gamble. Breen's exceeded my expectations. read more

You guys should be ashamed of yourselves taking advantage of people. My son purchased me some Valentine's flowers for $178! They're not that grand! If I didn't think it would hurt his feelings, I'd ask him to return them. For whatever reason, I can't load the pic. Yelp is preventing it. $78, yes, $178, no way! They're already looking wilted! SHAME ON YOU!!!!!! read more

We have family in Houston that I had wanted to send a floral arrangement to. I had ordered online initially but the size & price was not all right. I had posted a low rating & Breens called me on the phone to better understand the order. They took another one which they told me to cost of & I told them to cancel it, they did not. They charged my card & calling them twice being it would be resolved in no less than 48 hours after a week & a half, I called the credit card company. Many excuses were given, it was not all right with me. read more

Breen's florist has been my go-to saving grace ever since my sister had moved to Houston! I've be incredibly pleased with their services every time I've used them. I had used this florist in the past to send flowers to my mom on special occasions. So when my father passed away, I sent an inspiration photo to this florist of a longhorn covered in roses on stand. The original quote for this item in roses came back at nearly $10,000. As someone with 30 years of experience in the industry and in Los Angeles where one would expect prices to be higher, I was shocked. Upon inquiry, the florist stated that it was an iron stand so I suggested wood and a lower grade of flowers. The flowers were some sort of daisy mostly painted orange. The arrangement was nice but honestly I wasn't a huge fan of the wispy feel with the daisies. Nevertheless it got the point across and it served as a good focal point for the buffet. All of the vases were included in the cost so imagine my surprise when they wanted the stand back. As an event producer, I understand that forms cost money. Double is industry standard for a purchase. Our purchase price was $3,000 and there is no way this entire arrangement cost anywhere near even $1000. When I brought this to their attention, they doubled down on their request for return. So the form is being returned to add to their inventory. If you order this item, please know that they have the form so it's just a rental and you should only be paying for labor and flowers. And you're welcome. We paid $3,000 for this! for my father's memorial. Highway robbery! Needless to say they lost a customer. read more

I received flowers for Mother's Day from my son. This arrangement was spectacular. The flowers were beautiful and fresh as well as beautifully arranged. I'm not actually sure which Breen's location they came from because we're not close to any of them but they are truly amazing and they coped with my son's "creative" name for me read more

this florist delivered me dead flowers for my birthday. I uploaded pictures of the dead flowers on my Google review. They seem to think they can respond by saying they took a photo. My photos do not lie, and the flowers were returned within less than 24 hours. They also say that I received a refund and a replacement arrangement. I never received a replacement arrangement and that statement is false. I recommend you avoid this place because all they seem concerned about or responding to reviews and that is the extent of their customer service. If I could give them zero stars, I would. read more

I ordered the bright blooms and choose the over $100.00 selection and on the site it states put your trust in our award winning designers. This is what they sent. Highly disappointed and feel like I wasted my money. read more

You can't go wrong with Breen's. They are not your typical florist. Flowers and plants are healthy and top notch. Arrangements are always beautiful, and even when I order the 'standard' arrangement vs upgrading to deluxe or premium, the arrangement is substantial compared to other florists I've used. I appreciate receiving a photo of my arrangement. It is so helpful to see what the recipient will get .... especially when for funerals. read more

I was supposed to receive flowers on February 13 & February 14. I didn't receive either. I called this morning (February 14) to see what happened. It was bad enough that the surprise was ruined & I didn't receive anything & had to follow up, but it appeared that I was aggravating the person who answered the phone. I only wanted answers as to why my husband was charged 627.75 USD & I didn't receive anything. She kept saying the order wasn't processed & I was outside of the delivery zone. If that's true, that should have been disclosed before they took his order & money. Thanks for ruining my Valentine's morning, Breen's Florist. read more

On their website it states same day delivery. I get a call morning of funeral service by Carol, saying they would not be able to make it in time for said funeral. My boyfriend bought my surprise flowers from here and these were the best flowers. Reasons why we'll order from here again: 1). Fresh flowers - A week after it was purchased, they still look great and some flowers still haven't fully bloomed yet. I get to see and keep my flowers for a longer time. 2). Friendly - My bf said, the florist was amazing. He asked what the occasion was and then knew exactly what to do. read more

I ordered a dozen red roses from Breens Florist, and they turned out fantastic. The bouquet was well decorated, and the roses were absolutely perfect. I called ahead to place my order, and as soon as I came to Breens, the flowers were ready for pick up. The lady at the front desk was very friendly as well. As the recipient, I was thrilled to be gifted with flowers from Breen's Florist. This mass of tulips was fresh and unique and will be treasured in my heart forever. My husband said they were great to work with to customize his order, and in looking at their website, they have a lot of unique arrangements that I'll remember for other holidays and business thank-yous. Are they the least expensive? No, but as anyone who orders flowers a lot knows, chasing the lowest price is usually a recipe for disappointment. My husband thought these were a fantastic value for the quality and freshness. I agree. :) read more

I am so disappointed in my Valentine's Day flowers I just received from Breen's Florist. This is our first time to order from Breen's and it will be our last. My husband told me he spent twice the money he usually spends because the reviews for Breen's were very good. The roses are very dark red, (not a pretty red, almost black) and some of the outside petals look like they are starting to curl and die already. The roses have no smell at all. The vase is too small and the other few flowers in the vase are dark also. Really depressing arrangement. This arrangement looks like it should be at a funeral and not for Valentine's Day. I really feel bad for my wonderful husband who was so excited to order these. He orders Valentine Day flowers for me every year, we will be going back to Enchanted Florist as they have much more reasonable pricing with much better flowers and arrangements. Thank you, Stephanie McKinney, Deer Park, TX read more

I absolutely love the flowers I've received from Breens! This is the only florist my boyfriend has utilized and they produce beautiful bouquets. He's surprised me with a mix bouquet of lilies and various other flowers and on another occasion he surprised me with a dozen roses, I was shocked at how beautiful they were, and if you have a somewhat green thumb, they tend to last a decent amount of time after purchase. I've yet to actually visit the location, but I definitely plan to. I love flowers so I'm interested to see what else they have to offer. read more

I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt & well I'm stood up no flowers, no special surprise for my significant other & $107 down the drain. But best believe i am getting my refund. Very disappointed , 1st- They promise to send me the photo of the flowers before they send out and they never did. 2nd, I requested to have the flowers in lavender color and if they don't have please keep the original color when end up they put cheap looking pink roses and the presentation not looks like the picture on the website at all, not even close. The customer service when I call , because I have never get pictures or receipts is not helpful, kind of rude. I definitely not appreciate her tone. Above of that, they deliver the flower by leave it in front of the door with the excuse that they have called and no answer so the driver made that decision. If i can give minus star I will and definitely note worth the money ( over $100 include shipping fees} and time..if you want to send flowers to your special ones, don't use this company,,,they are scam!!!! read more

VERY disappointed in Breens. Paid almost $200 for Valentine's Day roses, and they weren't delivered. A friend of mine wanted to send me flowers on my birthday and chose Breen's Florist. I was home all day, but for a few hours and happen to miss the delivery person. There was no notice left on my door, no one attempted to call me, and they were not delivered until the next day. They driver didn't even try to leave the flowers with the apartment office staff (I talked to the ladies in the office). A woman called me the next morning to coordinate the delivery and I did receive the flowers, however she was surly and complained the gate didn't open when she punched my apartment number. She could have just dialed the office to let her inside like all other delivery drivers. I put in a work order to have my number reprogrammed into the gate, but the office informed me she just forgot to press "Enter" after keying the apt. no. The flowers lasted 2 days before disintegrating. I also think it's cheap to use dyed pink flowers rather than obtaining naturally pink flowers. Pink is not an exotic color and it looks tacky when the water turns pink. Happy Birthday to me! read more

My husband and I were so lost when selecting a florist for our wedding because we didn't know where to start and we had a budget in mind. We heard about Breen's Florist through a family friend and it was the best decision ever. We met with Marcia about 4 months before our wedding and gave her all of the bridal party information and she asked us all kinds of questions like "what kinds of flowers do you like/do you not like? What are your colors? What's your theme?". Marcia was so detailed in everything that she did, she would go above and beyond to make sure that everything was going to go smoothly on the day of the wedding. We had a slight mix up in bouquets for my bridal portraits and I was delivered the wrong bouquet. I called her and she came and hand delivered the correct one! Nothing but quality service from Breen's Florist. She even let me look at samples of flowers to see what I liked and didn't like to get ideas. Marcia was so accommodating, anything I needed or if I was worried about something, she took care of for me. On the day of the wedding, I was blown away by the flowers. So many flowers and such great quality! My centerpieces were beautiful, my boutonnieres were amazing, and my bridal bouquet was stunning. I cannot tell you how amazing Breen's Florist is. They did an exceptional job for my wedding and I would highly recommend them to anyone!! I'm a customer for life :-) read more

We received flowers from a friend who ordered them through Breen's. It was a breathtaking arrangement and the flowers lasted for at least a week...I think it was more like 10 days. The arrangement we received was in a 6-8" tall square vase, it was filled with roses (one of the shorter, more modern arrangements). I looked on their website and I believe the arrangement is called "Simply Lovely". Love, love, love!!! I would highly recommend them. read more
