Needed a long distance tow performed from Brooklyn to Connecticut. They arranged everything. Got the details picked up the vehicle. A flat bed wasn't available at the initial time so they picked up my vehicle drove it to their secure lot then delivered it later that evening. Fantastic people, easy to deal with on the phone. Actually answer the phone and are pleasant!!! Will gladly use them again! read more

awful Refused to come to assist because they didn't feel I cleared enough snow around my car even though car was fully accessible all around. Audi USA roadside assist needs a better class of providers. What if I was stuck on highway? How much snow would I have to remove for Breen to find it acceptable to assist? read more

The worst service ever! I waited helplessly for more than two hours and still waiting. Twice I called but representative was rude, just said you are not only one who need help, just be patient. Did more damage towing my motorcycle than I did crashing it. Lost my steering stem lock key. Guy at the drop off yard told me they never got out of the tow truck just tilted the flatbed until my bike slid off like a piece of scrap metal. Mind you this is before the bike was even seen by an insurance adjuster. I have photo proof of the bike at the scene before and after they got their hands on it. Then went ahead to delete my review from google. Extremely unprofessional no clue how this sorry excuse for a tow company is still in business read more

Very unprofessional, I arrived at the towing yard at 12:30pm, did not receive my vehicle till four and a half hours later, customer service representative hanged up five times on me, I asked for the where about of the tow car driver, I was told I had to wait a minimum of four hours to receive service of being towed from the tow yard at 1908 shore parkway to my mechanic, my vehicle was damage, if can rate for less than one star I would have. Very poor service, wry unprofessional. read more

The service experience was unprofessional, unsafe, and unacceptable. After the driver of truck # NY 18212TV arrived, I requested to ride with him in the tow truck because I needed transportation. He refused without explanation. I then asked that my vehicle be placed in my driveway. The driver stated he could not do so. As a reasonable alternative, I asked that the vehicle be left safely in front of my driveway on the street. He also refused this request. At that point, the driver became verbally abusive, used profanity toward me, and behaved aggressively. He ultimately left my vehicle in the middle of the street, obstructing traffic, and then made an obscene gesture (middle finger) toward me before leaving. This behavior made me feel unsafe and disrespected and is completely inconsistent with the standards I expect from AAA and its contracted service providers. read more

Planned a tow with them. They said they would come with my car in th evening. I waited for them all night and they did not show up. I called the following morning, after three phone calls I finally was told again that they would be at my home with my car in a few hours. A few hours turned into 15 hours later. They did not show up until 1:30am with my car. Very unprofessional service with poor communication. read more

I would highly recommend Breen Bros. Towing. Not sure of the name of the man that was dispatched to pick up my car from one location and on the arrival of pickup he reach out to me. This may sound weird, but if your car has been towed for some parking infraction, you want it to be towed here. Yes, it's far and hard to find, you need to pay in cash, and you can expect to be on hold while they verify that they have your vehicle. Here is how I look at it: 1. Double check and then triple check that you are not parked in a no parking zone, driveway, near a hydrant etc. If you did park where you shouldn't, then ultimately no one is at fault-but you. 2. Thank God that you have to go here to get your car rather than to an NYPD tow pound. Enough said. 3. If you drive in to Manhattan to have dinner and go to a show afterward, you could easily pay more for parking than you will retrieving your car here. 4. My experience was that they won't add to your pain. Very businesslike. 5. Read #1. It's not their fault that you got towed.. read more

Great people always. I have never been disappointed . I live and work on Staten Island and have use Been Brothers at least 6 times.

The Drivers are very unprofessional, and do not know how to drive one of your drivers cut me off on the road and then, when I went around him bc he pushed me out of my lane he tried to ram my car from behind after pulling over to let him pass, he decided he's going to jump out of his truck and try to fight me Saying that he's a breen So go ahead and call the owner. if that was my company with my last name on the side of the truck and I had someone who is supposed to be family driving our last name around Staten Island causing problems. well they can't seem to attach their tow truck to anything which is the whole purpose of being a towing company. 0/5 stars.

Giving a one star because, my car had broken down in the middle of the street with smoke coming out after getting it back from pepboys, so I requested a Tow Through Pepboys Website and they gave me "Breen Brothers towing" which I waited an hour for. And when he finally arrived, he told me to Tow it back to pepboys it would be $150, WHICH IS NOT TRUE AT ALL, on the pepboys website the tow is $59.99 to tow it to them, and when I refused he then lowered it to $140, I still refused that price, then He got in his truck and LEFT‼ what kind of BS company is this ?? scam‼ and overpriced, not to mention the people they got working there, a bunch of pricks. DONT CALL THESE PEOPLE IF YOU NEED A TOW, OTHER COMPANIES WILL TOW FOR CHEAPER AND QUICKER read more

Breen Brothers Towing Service - Towing Near Me - Staten Island, New York

Very shady business!! Should be no stars. If they tow you on a Friday, you can't pick up your vehicle until Monday even though they're open Saturday and Sunday. They say that there's only one woman who does the processing, but it's BS there's other people working they could train there just playing with their phones. It's a money making scheme they're running, charging over $1,200 for the weekend. Also I think they are in cahoots with the police since they towed our RV which we move every day. The police claim that people complain, but won't tell us who. We never even park it by anyone's home or driveway so I don't believe that. There are plenty of cars/RVs crashed up and ugly just sitting there for weeks or months which don't get towed. Ours is clean, insured, no tickets and it's moved everyday so it makes no sense. Then they tow it to a remote area on Johnson Street way back which I felt like I would get a flat driving on to pick it up. This isn't the first time either, another time they took it from a service road and there wasn't even a ticket on it. They claim it was part of a commercial tow, but it's not commercial plates! They must be splitting the profits with the cops, so watch out for this corruption. This place should be shut down, a waste of our hard earned money while they are getting rich! read more

Ugh, my car was towed because the city was doing emergency construction. I called them up, they put me on hold for about 10 minutes, and then told me my car was 1.5 miles away. I spent money getting over there and my car wasn't there. I called back, and after being put on hold for a while again, they gave me a completely different address that was way closer to the original location. But at least I didn't see any damage to the car like others have reported. read more

Awful company and whoever is running it should be completely ashamed of themselves. They towed my beautiful White Tesla due to emergency road construction and damaged the undercarriage. I was given a number to call to get the damages rectified. I called every day multiple times a day for weeks straight. I wrote them via email. I even reached out on Instagram - & they blocked me. Had damages on my car after receiving it back. Very unreliable. Very rude. Terrible customer service

I absolutely love Breen Brothers. I called on them several times in the past and recently used their services to transport a car that was stuck inside a tight garage after many years of storage. The car was at a difficult angle, making it difficult to load it onto the flatbed, The talented driver really knew what he was doing and managed to pull the car out, load it onto the flatbed and deliver it to destination, all without a scratch. Top Notch professionals, friendly, terrific customer service, great rates, and truly a pleasure to deal with! I strongly recommend Breen Brothers for all your towing needs. read more

Got my car towed from these people 4 hours after the boot was put on (supposed to be 48 hours) didnt even give me a chance to get out of work so i can pay. Payed everything i had to i go and pick up my car pull out of the lot and head scraping sounds underneath my car. One of the guys who works there said this often happens and it could be the tow truck stretching the arms. Also spoke to manager Juan who said to call next day to get situation resolved. Next day is Saturday come to find out no one is in the office. Monday comes around Juan says bring it in the next day. Get a call from a rude, nasty man saying it's wear and tear, and they can't do anything. Super unprofessional and hung up the phone on me. Said manager Juan has no authority to bring in my car. Call the next day, and they keep me on hold. Call again, and they hang up on me. They are rude, unprofessional. I would not do business with these people as they have a history of breaking cars and not fixing them or even attempting to. They don't deserve one star. read more

Not one to leave reviews.... but sometimes a company just wow's me! This company is 5 star! All around wonderful experience. Put a claim in with insurance company and within seconds someone reached out to me to get specific details and let me know the tow truck was en route to the area. A couple of minutes later the driver called. Richie! What a gentleman. Arrived in less than 15 minutes. Took a look at the car and offered some great advice after diagnosing the problem. He didn't have to look at the car but I'm glad he did because I felt a lot better about the problem. I'm talking less than 5 minutes from when he arrived the vehicle was in the air and he was underneath checking it out. Then just to really go above and beyond...he towed the vehicle to the dealers service center (across the island).... got a hold of the manager on the sales side. Had the garage opened and backed it in! That's above and beyond - especially when I was just expecting him to leave it on the street outside, since it was after hours. Calls me and gives me the update. I mean cmon! This was the one of the best experiences with a broken down vehicle I've ever had. Totally put my wife and I at ease. Would recommend to anyone and I'm calling the insurance company right now to express my gratitude and praise Breen Bros Towing. Thanks Richie and Breen Bros!! I'm talking start to finish under an hour. read more

I'm giving this company a ZERO STAR RATING. Very rude and UNPROFESSIONAL. Had my car towed by a vengeful neighbor. I went to Breen Brothters to pick up my vehicle, which Is where it was towed to after calling the police to find out. There were no signs on site ( Staing I was not to go into the yard or go near MY CAR) ,went to my car (knowing I still had to go inside to pay & sign paperwork) , man came out threatening he was police and pointing to his hip, we called the police, they called the police, he would not show identification proving he was a police officer. The employees surrounded the car, ( including the woman who's job is to stay behind her desk ) yelling and threatening, started to lift the car with me inside and the door open which is against all safety and insurance protocols. My leg could have been crushed. I did not feel safe to get out until police arrived. Would like their insurance to be aware that they lifted my vehicle with me inside of it. Osha and safety violations for sure !!! EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND UNPROFESSIONAL. If the man near the lot had approached me correctly explaining to me what info I needed to go inside with I would not have reacted the way I did. He thought being aggressive and impersonating a police officer was the proper way to inform a girl how to handle her first car towing. The receptionist also should be ashamed that she even left the office and came outside. If she wanted to get involved she should have helped not made things worse. Disgusting excuse for a business. It's sad that they're even able to continue to run their business. read more

We called for a price quote for a simple tow and was quoted an astronomically high price. We politely declined only to receive a call from the owner himself a few minutes later promising a lower rate just to get our business. The next day, they towed our car and upon drop off added over $100 to the price "firmly quoted" by the owner. The tow truck driver basically held our car for ransom and pretended as though our originally quoted price never existed. We ended up having to pay the original price we declined. We tried to give Breen bros a chance, and were rewarded with a classic case of bait and switch. If you're looking for a reputable, honestly run business, look elsewhere. If you like being "taken for a ride", count on Breen Brothers! read more

Worse company to call for a blocked driveway. If it's not luxury don't expect it to be picked up.

my car was towed in front of my hotel by Breen Bros....a day before New Year's Eve. several hotel guests were towed away because the neighbor had decided that the cars parked in his unlocked parking lot were there illegally. Breen Bros accepted the assignment, even though it was clear that it concerned hotel guests. I lost my rental car for 4 days thanks to Breen Bros. and even though someone was at the towing company the day before New Year's Eve, and my car was parked in an open parking lot, they refused to release the car before the closong Days. When I was able to pick up the car after four days, it turned out that Breen Bros had towed my car while it was in parking position. This destroyed the entire steering system of the car and made the car uncontrollable. after they charged me $136 they told me to call the rental company about the damage to the car. damage caused by incorrect towing. After they left me without a car for 4 days and destroyed the car, they took away a fifth day of my visit to New York cause of arraonging a replacement car I had to pick up at the airport. they could have torn up the bill and provided better service after destroying the car. Ultimately, they also accepted the rental company's assignment to tow the broken car back to the rental company. disgusting. Making 2times money over their own error.fraud towards the rental company Avis. and no respect for the customer. read more

On August 23rd one of your tow trucks picking up a car for a neighbor across the street damaged my neighbors drain pipe and damaged my front garden. Leaving a huge hole, broken stones, a mess and damaging a planter. Upon getting home I called and left a message after my neighbor called and emailed as instructed by Juan, an account of what happened and photos. After several calls, I received a call from Crystal on Thursday August 26th. She assured me that someone one get back to me in a timely matter and informed me that the bosses have been working in the field due to staff shortage. I called Crystal today, 2 1/2 weeks after the incident. Crystal said that no one has gotten back to me due to the storm. After some back and forth conversation, she ultimately hung up on me after informing me that my damage was "just a hole, it's just dirt". Crystal's claim of "it's just dirt, it's just a hole' is not exactly accurate. That hole and dirt at the moment is a liability to me because if someone falls in the "just a hole" guess who is getting sued. Due to my own personal health issues , fixing the "just a hole" isn't as easy as Crystal thinks. Maybe Crystal would like to come help me since it's no big deal. I understand and respect that due to COVID, many businesses are short staffed and also understand that we had a severe storm that affected many. However, that storm took place a week and a half after the incident. A simple follow up phone call would have gone a long way. My damage is "just a hole" but my neighbor has a severely bent drain pipe. Your company has made it very clear that you have no intention of fixing the wrong done. Your company is unprofessional, rude and has no respect for other's property or time. If I ever hung up on a client I would be fired. That is not what I want in this case, nor do I expect it happen, but Crystal, you make want to work on your customer service. My only hope is that I never have to use the services of Breen Brothers Towing. read more
