Located in a busy strip mall, I was surprised to find that this spot was not swimming with customers today. I've stopped by before, but never had any luck with timing. Today was my day! In desperate need of a Spring Cleaning, I took a chance and snagged a walk in appointment. Quick and easy- a shellac mani and pedi, with a built in massage chair, really took the edge off. My only regret is not asking for my esthetician's name, as she was super helpful with my inability to pick a great spring colour. I picked a nice periwinkle, in case you were wondering. Now, the price was a little steep. For the shellac mani/pedi after tax I was looking at about $75. It's not cheap, but for me- I will always be willing to pay a bit more if it means I'm getting great service. I didn't feel rushed, the selection of colours they had was great, and I felt truly relaxed the whole time. I may not be able to afford this on the regular, but I will certainly be back when I'm ready to give myself another little treat.

In the front, there are again 8-10 nail stations. The staff are lovely, greeted with a smile from everyone upon arriving. I chose my colours and went to the back. After my pedi and an episode of Holmes on Homes I headed to the front for my mani. There is another TV in the front, the news was on which was kind of nice. On one wall though, they have a huge wall unit, the top half has OPI nail polishes, and the bottom half has little kits with nail files, buffers and other instruments with customers names on the boxes! Super cute and a nice touch - saves money and ensures your return customers are taken care of. Very clean place, as I was one of the last booked customers for the day I watched as a few staff cleaned up their stations - incredibly thorough! I've already booked my next visit and look forward to going back :)

From the service side, I was disappointed because I don't like it when the nail tech doesn't pay 100% attention to the customer. She started speaking in her language to another employee there every now and then. Then, I realized she was almost training the other employee at doing nails, and was explaining how she was doing it. At first that wasn't too bad, but then after 30 min, it seemed as if she paid no mind to me and just forgot that I was a person, not just a pair of hands, so she offered no conversation or involved me in any way-- nothing. I was happy with my nails, so in the end, I wasn't mad. It's just not ideal, from a service perspective. ---I went in a second time, and got Mel. She is amazing! I told her I didn't have much time for a full acrylic nail process, and we came up with a short cut that looked just like the full 1hr process. She went straight at it, no distractions, and my nails were perfect! She made my day--basically week, because she was so careful and quick. No cuts, perfect coating, and exact shape I wanted. I would choose her again and again! ---The third time I came to get an upper lip wax, and got Amy. She was quick and the wax they use is really effective. It's the first time the wax works so well on me. It was a bit messy, some got on my nose, but I didn't mind because she got it off before it dried. She was running behind on her last appointment, so I had to wait for about 5-7 min. And before being done with me, she went up to talk to a customer that walked in to the office. I wondered that why with such a quick procedure, she wouldn't just finish with me first and then go see the other customer, or had an extra employee to take care of the front. Oh well, it wasn't a big deal-- just not ideal. A tip if you're getting this done is you should wipe some alcohol on your upper lip every night to avoid little bumps or redness. ---All around good place, just not too high on customer service. And I've noticed the bedding area is not always very clean or has any place to leave your purse or jacket while you get something done.

Sis2 has the widest range of nail polish colors I have seen in any salon. They use a fabulous Asian brand and a terrific technique to remove shellac polish. I typically come for the nail services, but I have had a massage as well. It was quite good. You cannot beat this place for it's convenient location and hours, and the prices are excellent. They bounce me around from one nail tech to another, and they do not all the same level of experience. My most recent experience might have been my last, I received a gel overlay with Shellac and usually it is no issue getting in and out in an hour. Since the tech took longer than expected to remove the last colour and shape my nails, she wasnt able to give me a proper gel overlay since I had to be out in an hour and 20 min. About 20 minutes into the appointment I had to mention that I had another appointment, I thought I gave myself more than enough time (I am seasoned at getting my nails done so I expected the typical hour appointment). With the time she spent shaping my nails, I would have expected them to be better shaped but they were not straight and were not the almond shape I requested. Since we couldnt complete the gel overlay properly the shellac colour did not go on properly and it is uneven and thick. As a loyal customer, I would have expected better service and better quality.

They seem to be over booking. In both experiences going I had to wait. My second time going my experience wasn't great. I was rushed through. My nail technician kept answering the phone during my service. Little over 24 hours later my thumb nail chipped. I got my nails done on the Saturday, and they chipped on the Sunday. The chip isn't big however it happened fast. With chipping it will chip more and more. I contacted the salon in private and asked for a partial refund. I'm not able to go into the salon because I'm away. They declined and stated they only fix their work. They also suggested that I didn't put my hand in fair enough for the gel to cure. This is very frustrating that they blame the client for their work/don't clearly state their policy anywhere on the website or when confirming their booking. NowI have to buy white gel nail polish and fix it myself. At a cost. After already paying $90. It should be Westbros responsibility to reimburse a PORTION of the cost. No where does it state your policy of no refund for their mistakes. It is the responsibility of the nail tech to make sure the gel is completely cured/in the lamp. This is why customers go to a licensed salon. I understand mistakes happen however it is their responsibility as a business owner to back the work of your nail artists. Yes Westbro does have strong artists but they are forced to work too fast and skipping corners causes bad work at a high price point. When messing the Instagram account. The person responding it very rude, argumentative, and started ignoring my messages. Overall this experience sucked. I got my nails done for my engagement and they have added one more thing to do.
