DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I used to come here regularly when they were the Parker breast Care Center...Health Images bought this place!!! They "cannot find" any orders ever, try telling you to pay in full up front, ( even though I have EXCELLENT full coverage insurance ) , never does the same person answer the phone, REFUSED to transfer me to an office manager or owner, say that certain EXTRA procedures are at the "discretion of the radiologist" and you HAVE to do it?!?! Heck NO , MY BODY and I will refuse what I want...STAY AWAY from here!!! read more

Avoid at all costs! I went here for a follow up to an ultrasound I had done by an "Ultrasound only" location after they saw something that they recommened should be examined further. So, I got a mammogram (nothing) and another ultrasound. While getting the ultrasound, the tech spent the entire time telling me I shouldn't have gone where I went 1st as they wouldn't be any good, she harped and harped on her 26 years of experience and that she knew so much better. Yet, she was unable to find what they found and told me they didn't know what they were doing. Well, I had brought the digital files from the 1st place, and she was FINALLY able to get them open and low and behold, there was what they mentioned and, once she saw their file and knew what to look for, was able to find it too. If after 26 years of work she can only find anomalies when given files to follow by other companies, goodness knows all she's probably missed along the way! No apology or acknowledgement of her error, she's incompetent and I then had to go to a 3rd place to get an opinion I actually could trust. Is billing giving up on chasing me down for payment on incompetent care, of course not, so still arguing with them. NEVER go to them for your breast care. Changed to a different group in Cherry Creek instead. read more

BEWARE!! BE SURE YOU ARE AWARE OF WHAT THEY TRY TO MAKE YOU SIGN!! They will not give you a mammogram or bone density dexa unless you sign a "Hospital Service Agreement" that states you consent to "the use of potential restraint, which my attending physician or other holding clinical privileges consider necessary" --- and this for a mammogram or dexa??? I waited months for this appointment only to cancel it because there is no way they need anything of the sort signed to get these! It's just plain scary they even think of including this with a mammogram or dexa! When I called them on this, they told me that all of Centura has this, but some doctor's offices don't make you sign any such thing. Just be aware of what you are signing!!! I also had a terrible experience here! I had just given birth to my daughter via caesarian when I caught a lump in my breast while still in the hospital recovering. The hospital didn't have the appropriate u/s machine to check it out so they referred me here. I was 2 weeks postpartum when they told me that since it wasn't a cyst, I should have it biopsied. It never even crossed my mind that I could wait and have it checked every couple months before having an invasive procedure while I was breastfeeding my newborn infant. When I went in for the biopsy, I was briefly told that since I was breastfeeding there was a VERY small chance that I could develop a milk fistula and if that happened I would have to stop breastfeeding. The doctor practically said it was so rare, that there was no way it would happen to me. Well, it happened to me. I developed an extremely large cyst in my breast that doubled, then tripled, then quadrupled in size over the course of two weeks. It was so painful I had to wear a swimsuit top in the shower because the pressure was so unbearable. When I called the diagnostic clinic back, they told me I had to get another referral, even though this was a complication from their procedure!! I was in tears on the phone because I didn't know who the referring doctor was from the hospital. I ended up being urgently seen by my OB, who lanced it and had me urgently seen by a general surgeon. I had a severe infection and nearly had to go in to emergency surgery. What I'm more mad about than anything, isn't the fact that I had a complication. Those happen. It's that I wasn't made aware of other, less invasive options until after I nearly had to stop breastfeeding my daughter who wasn't even a month old. After reading the reviews, it's pretty clear they just want to do whatever procedure they can to capitalize on profit gain and don't have their patients best interests at heart. read more

Zero Star. They do not follow their mission. You will not get mammogram results for a week even if there is a concern for the mammogram. Nobody knows what's going on at the facility. I when asked to speak to someone in charge or a manager and was told there was no one available there. read more

I understand all the reviews expressing frustration with the process and the amount of money these things cost. But I will tell you this, I just went through everything they recommended, including a biopsy, and was just informed that I have breast cancer. Had I not done this, things could only have gotten worse. I cannot imagine not taking the steps forward only to find out that I would have suffered heavy consequences. Did I want to go back for more testing? No. Do I have money flowing out of my pocketbooks? I absolutely do not. But I have to weigh out what is more important. read more

Women beware!!! If I could rate negative stars I would. I too had a terrible experience at the Breast Care Center at The Medical Center of Aurora. I originally went there because it was convenient and close to home for a typical mammogram/wellness visit. They performed the mammogram, said the films looked good and sent me on my way. A week later, they called me and said I needed to come back in due to my "dense tissue". When I asked what it would set me back, they lied to me and told me that the more in depth mammogram might set me back $50.00 or so out of pocket. No problem for peace of mind. Ladies, never ever ever go back for a visit once you've left the facility!!! If you go back, they will charge you for a diagnostic visit which will cost you thousands $$$. Insist that they perform whatever else is needed the SAME DAY so that it's covered by your insurance under the wellness visit. Unfortunately, I didn't know that at the time and I went back, got the second mammogram and received a bill in the mail for over $1,000. After several discussions with the people at the Medical Center, my personal physician, my insurance company, and even after consulting a lawyer, I found that I have no recourse but to pay this enormous bill for lousy check-up! The only good news here is that I'm perfectly healthy and nothing was found. I wonder how many women they send home only to call them to come back later so they can charge them these ridiculous fees as a matter of course. I was even told "next time" I should ask about the cost up front. As I mentioned, I did! I was lied to. I find these practices unethical and immoral. If this kind of activity were practiced outside of the medical profession, I truly believe it would be illegal. read more

Patients beware!!! I should have read the reviews first before going to my first mammogram, but because they were referred by my OBGYN, I figured everything would be ok. I was pressured by FOUR different representatives of this office to get not only an unnecessary ultrasound, but one that I explained time and again I could not afford. First, their billing department pressured me into having it done, then their office manager, then the radiology assistant (who preformed the actual mammogram), THEN the radiologist... even after they said my mammogram came back fine. The change in demeanor of both the radiology assistant and radiologist after I told them no to having the ultrasound done was completely off putting. They went from friendly to almost a scolding mother. Fortunately, I know how to stand up for myself, but I can't help but think about and worry about other women who are pressured (CONNED) into extra services they don't need due to the fear that something may be lurking without getting this exam done. All I can say is beware and be an advocate for yourself. These people know exactly how to make you feel like you NEED to have something done, even if it isn't medically necessary. Also, the billing and charges were completely messed up, but that is secondary to this major issue. read more

Trio Breast Center is affiliated with Parker Adventist Hospital and I had heard good things about the hospital so when my doctor recommended a screening mammogram and suggested this place, it sounded like a good idea. I definitely will not use them again. Their staff is friendly and getting an appointment was easy. In fact, they seem to have quite a bit of capacity which I think may be part of the problem. When I called, they asked a bunch of questions about whether I'd had a mammogram before and they knew in scheduling that I was a first-time patient. Here's where the problems start. When I got to their office, there were signs all over the place about what happens if you get called back - because at that point, the mammogram is considered diagnostic and your insurance doesn't cover it as well. They only took four images and told me that virtually every first-time patient gets called back. So, of course I got called back. I was skeptical about whether I should go back in, so I talked to my primary care provider and they said it was a good idea to do the follow-up. I scheduled my follow-up visit and a few hours after the appointment was scheduled, their insurance department called to tell me that it would be $300 to $600 out of pocket and asked if I could please pre-pay. Seriously? You want me to have a test done over because you weren't thorough enough the first time and now you also want me to pre-pay for it? I called my primary care again and they said they were surprised that they hadn't done a more thorough set of images in the first place. In the end, we decided that since I'm in a low risk category, it's not required for me to have more images taken and I'm not going to have it done. That said, I'm really annoyed at these people for wasting my one free annual mammo by doing a half-job and then expecting me to pay to have it done over. My advice - find someplace else. And I hope this isn't indicative of the rest of the care at this hospital or we'll be finding someplace else for the rest of our medical care too. read more

I wish I had read the reviews before my appointment instead of after. It wasn't until I was feeling uncomfortable about my conversation with their office this morning that I even thought to see if there were any reviews about this place. Unfortunately my experience seems to be similar to the other people here and not at all positive. I had my mammogram on 8/20/14 and was told that they would call me if there was any problem otherwise I would get a letter in the mail 7-10 days. I didn't hear anything so presumed everything was fine until I received a letter telling me that I needed to go back for further detailed tests. It also indicated that a message had been left for me on 8/21 at 2:15. Since it was the holiday weekend I had to wait until this morning to call them having felt sick with worry for the last couple of days. No woman wants to hear that there may be a problem following a mammogram! When I called this morning I asked them what telephone number they had on file. They did have my correct home number but for some reason the tech had written a 719 number that they had tried to contact me. When I inquired further about why someone had called that number I was somewhat curtly told that "as she had told me before. .The tech must have called that number but she didn't know why or where that number came from. " I then went on to try and schedule the follow up and was told that the first opening they had was 9/11. Are you kidding me? My mammogram was on 8/20, I finally receive a letter telling me there could be a problem and yet they couldn't get me in for another 9 days? That is certainly not the kind of experience I have had with Sally Jobe in the past. I also asked if they could tell me why I need to come back for further tests and was told that my chart said that I do not have symmetric breasts and the person on the other end of the phone, who I can only presume was the receptionist, then went on to tell me that breasts should be symmetric. Again, are you kidding me? I have fibrosystic breasts, my breasts are naturally lumpy. I have "dense" breasts, which is the reason I had decided to do the 3-D mammogram. But I cannot believe that people's breasts are symmetric and that if they are not there could be a problem. I don't have the greatest health insurance and have a $6, 000 deductible so any further tests are straight out of my pocket. Following my conversation this morning with this office followed by some lengthy discussion with my insurance company, I have decided that I should meet with an obgyn first before I even consider any follow up. I think I will probably be going back to Sally Jobe in the future. I wish I had read the reviews before I decided to try Trio Breast Center and I might not be having this problem. read more

I don't think their practices are ethical! They have been asking me to come back for extra images and ultrasound on a regular basis, for which I need to pay, in advance, to have done. Once I was told I had a 6mm mass that they were going to watch closely over a two year period and have me come back once every 6 months. When I returned 6 months later, I was told the mass had miraculously disappeared. So I understand that I have dense breast tissue and that it is more difficult to find suspicious growths via mammogram. So why do I even get mammograms, then? seems like a waste of my time and money to have a test that is not suited to my breast type. Well, the worst offense, is that I was told I had something suspicious on my mammogram and that I needed a stereotactic core biopsy. I had to pay $1500 out of pocket before the procedure to find out if I have breast cancer. Turned out benign but the procedure left me with a hematoma and major bruising in my breast (not sure if it was a botched job). I can tell that this hematoma is going to take a long time to heal and I probably have major scar tissue since I tend to keloid. Interestingly enough, after doing some research I found out that in Sweden where they have very strict requirements regarding referring patients for biopsies, 80% of those biopsied turn out to be malignant. Whereas, here in the US, 80% are benign which means our capitalistic system encourages unnecessary procedures for the benefit of maximizing profits. The breast center just moved into a new facility and probably purchased new equipment that they needed to pay for so they found some suckers (myself included) to sign up for unnecessary procedures to help pay for their updated facility. I'm done with this place and probably done with mammograms. I'll continue to exercise regularly and eat healthy and take my chances. Not gonna be used anymore. read more

Never a problem - their check in process is a little odd but it is for privacy. I get it. I have had to go back for an ultrasound once and I had to pay for the next one because it wasn't considered "annual checkup" after you have an issue - it's not Trio's issue - it is the insurance and how they work. Staff is not friendly and the check in process is silly. You sign in, sit down, get called to a different window, sign forms, sit down again and wait to be called for the mammogram. Very impersonal process. The mammogram itself was the most uncomfortable I've ever had, and I am 54. The technician moved my body around Like a butcher might move a carcass. 'Are you comfortable?' preceded a final painful crank of the machine compression. I have two breasts and trio won't be touching them or my insurance again. read more

4 stars for now because the help and care they give is genuine. After reading some of these older reviews, I have not seen any of these issues pertaining to multiple window check ins. The mammograms weren't painful, and the tech isn't there to be super gentle and delicate, but she does do the best she can to ensure that the imagery comes out the best. The biopsy is a painful experience, but what can you do? I received my biopsy results past end of day so I wasn't able to actually talk with anyone nor start any treatment plans til this coming Monday so I am sitting here on the weekend freaking out internally. Other than that, they still do well with patient confidentiality and do their best to make the process as smooth and comfortable as possible. Keep in mind Tricare Prime doesn't cover EVERY expense, but they are accepted there so you pay a lot less than what others have to pay deductible wise. By the way, I'm 32 and was given the biopsy results yesterday for IDC. I have BRCA 1 and 2 mutations, so I am uncertain as a non smoker and never having had abnormal paps nor contracted HPV, where this cancer has come from or developed. Overall, I do suggest this facility to follow up with any abnormal breast exams. I also highly suggest self exams since that is how I found mine. read more

I am absolutely​ disgusted​ with my experience and will never return to this place. After receiving a normal mammogram​, I received a letter recommending I get genetic testing based on family history. I followed this advice and got ​genetic testing. My insurance company​ then requested that the original physician that recommend the testing provide the reasoning for recommending the genetic testing. I contacted the breast center and was told their physicians​ "don't do that" and basically that they could not help me at all. The Breast Care Center refused to provide any information whatsoever to my insurance company as to why they had recommended this test. My insurance company (Blue Cross) even called them and they refused​ to communicate with my insurance. I was told by my insurance company they had never experienced a health care provider refusing to communicate with a patients health care insurance. As a result, I am battling a $4000.00+ bill for this genetic testing all because The Breast Care Center simply will not tell my insurance company the medical reasoning for ordering this test. Thanks Breast Care Center for a nightmare of an experience. read more

The other non recommended review is also my experience. I actually went to Cherry Creek Women's Imaging. Imagine my shock when I received a letter in the mail telling me that they saw something on my mammogram and I need to call right away to schedule further tests. I called my doctor and they had not received ANYTHING back from Women's Imaging. Nice, right. No phone call, not even to my doctor. My first thought was what a scam? And then I was scared. I went to Trio because I was not giving another penny to Women's Imaging. I had the follow up ultrasound. I said why do more mammogram pics if it would only result in the ultrasound anyway. They agreed. The insurance office called and told me what y co-pay was $111.50. I actually appreciated knowing this information. They asked if I could pay a portion of it and make payments on any balance. Completely professional and nice. They did the ultrasound and found more than one "somethings". Actually a cluster of them. I am scheduled for a biopsy in two days. They have requested records from three years ago and are on top of everything. So I can honestly say that I highly recommend Trio Breast Center! read more

Just finished with my mammogram and it was a great experience. As a previous cancer survivor (not breast but another female cancer) I was of course apprehensive that they would find something wrong. My technician was very nice and compassionate, asking me if I'm uncomfortable, making sure nothing was hurting or pinching. After getting my images done, and since this was my first mammogram, she took them immediately to the doctor to be looked at. She came back and said they wanted to ultrasound a few areas since I have no other test to go off of. I waited about 15 minutes until they could squeeze me in but that was fine as I'd rather wait and have answers immediately then get called back in a week later. The doctor came in and did the ultrasound, found a few cysts that they marked for my next mammogram and I was free to go. Great place, very comfortable, very accomodating, highly recommend!!! read more

Just had my screening mammogram at Trio, I have gone to larger breast centers in town and felt like cattle being moved through a line. Not at Trio. everyone was very personable and attentive. I did not feel rushed and was actually early for my appointment and did not have to wait. Going to a smaller more personalized place is much better than the factory down the street. Valet Parking is a must as well as I am a working mother and very busy. I was in and out in 15 minutes. read more

I experienced the same thing. The first time in, they called me back and said that some calcification appeared on their images. I went back in and that time they did numerous pictures. All were fine and I waited for the Radiologist to look at them on the spot and give me an "all clear" to leave. This year, I expected the same thing (to be called back in). Instead, I had to call a week later and ask "for results". I was told I would get something in the mail and it could take up to two weeks. I asked why the lengthy timeframe. I was told it was their "dynamics" and they send out the mail and it goes to another hospital and that could take awhile to reach me. I then asked her if I happened to be on a "call back" list to come back in for any reason. She said "not that I know of". As far as I'm concerned, this isn't good enough reason. They need to at least give a "phone back" and then follow up in the mail. All this advertising and encouragment to go in immediately and have your annual mammogram and how important it is, etc. and then to not have a better plan that that is unacceptable. Next year...I'll go elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and ask up front when you go for a mammogram (anywhere) how long it will take for the results to be given to you. I've never had to wait this long for any type of test I've ever had in a physicians office, laboratory or other memmography clinics. read more

I as well as the other reviews I have just read confirm the fraud involved with getting woman in for unneeded follow up appointments, which will be considered 'diagnostic' and go toward our deductibles. What a kind 'gift' of them, the day after Christmas to try to 'scare' me into an additional appointment, stating that their was 'fatty tissue' that looked suspicious. I was suspicious of them from the first appointment. I refused to pay the $50 collection fee and promptly told them that I would not be paying for this additional test. Miracleously, the second test showed nothing. The technician thought I should have been overjoyed. It only confirmed my belief that this was set up for one purpose, and that was to scam me and the insurance companies. I promptly called Anthem, being on hold for 40 minutes. Did not care. I wanted them to know that this was a claim that I would not be paying and they should not either. By the way, Trio, I do not care to recieve more radiation to my breasts then needed. But then that was not your concern was it. Shame on you. read more
