What a night and day difference from regular MRIs. I have a bulging disc pressing on the spinal cord and laying flat causes EXTREME pain. The upright one caused no additional pain and was very pleasant. It also showed my neck bones are sliding forward and back when they are not supposed to! I couldn't do a MRI previously where I extended my neck forward and then backward. Here I could. My neck has trouble holding my head up so she let me use a bar under my chin and one on my forehead to hold it still. She told me how long each section would take which made it way better. I could count the second in my head to know how much longer it was going to be. It was so relaxing I dozed off several times. I would recommend this place 1 million percent! It was the most pleasant experience I have ever had! Better than X-rays or CTs! They even had a tv I could watch. If I EVER get another MRI or know anyone that needs one, I would HIGHLY recommend this facility. It was a 3 hour ride to get there from where I am but soooooo worth it!

The tech kept in constant contact with me, let me know what was going on the whole time and checked to see that I was ok and comfortable. If I was going to be nit-picky, the front office needs a minor remodel. The furniture was kind of clapped out and the smell of people's lunches being heated up in a microwave kind of filled that area as well. Hey, you can only do what you can do.
