Very clean and calm environment. I came for a ultrasound and was able to make an appointment the same day. I shopped around before choosing a radiologist in Denver because i don't have insurance and this was the best price by far. The staff here is amazing. Jenny was working the front desk and she was so kind and helpful. Ashley performed the ultrasound and she was equally caring and extremely knowledgeable. I was early for my appointment and was seen right away. They also made me a copy of my scans to take to my specialist. It took an unusual long time to book the appointment with a sub-optimal customer service representative only to arrive to a nearly empty waiting room at my appointed time and be chastised by the receptionist for not arriving 15 minutes early to fill out two pages of paperwork. 2 minutes in I get asked if I need help filling out said paperwork. I've managed multiple medical practices before and would never condone the behavior I experienced today. Harassing your patients about arriving 15 minutes before the scheduled time when you have an empty waiting room is unwarranted and not the best business model. At least now Simonmed in Parker, CO will have one less patient to worry about. read more

Don't let them talk you into the additional AI analysis of your scan. It's a complete and total rip-off. I didn't receive any analysis, called to complain and had to spend half an hour on the phone with a rep telling him I didn't receive the product I was charged for and wanted a refund. Of course, no one ever followed up with me and I (big surprise) never got the refund either. More than a month later they send me an email tonight with a very vague result description. Certainly not what I paid an extra $50.00 for. The employees and techs at the imaging center are all very nice and do a good job but the rest of this company has shady business practices. I've been to SimonMed several times for MRIs, CT scans, and X-rays. Until today I never knew they did Mammograms. So happy they recommended it to me today while I was here for an x-ray. The whole staff here is incredibly friendly, smiling and wonderful. They help you with insurance, forms and they do out of pocket. Highly recommend read more

This is the only place that charges $400 for a calcium score--all medical centers and hospitals which offer this test that I've been to in the past 10 years charge $99 out of pocket. I asked for the cash price at Simon; it's $75.00. Do Not Go Here for that test!!!! read more

Our doctor warned us about going to "the cheap places in Denver". Here is why. You apparently need to pick up your MRI scan WHILE YOU ARE THERE. The reason is that they try to fax (yeah, fax) your scan to your doctor. The Doctor is like, "what the heck is this?". I'm not a doctor and I can tell you that faxing an image of a hairline anything is just not a sensical solution. When you point this out to Simon Med they say they can mail you a CD that takes 1 to 2 weeks to arrive. Yeah....1 to 2 weeks. Not happy about that. read more

My doctor sent a referral for me to SimonMed and another place because I hadn't decided which I wanted to go to. It didn't take me long to decide after this place started immediately calling me daily, recorded calls, no human. My husband answered the phone many times and they didn't even make sure it was me on the phone before saying to go online and make an appointment. One morning they even woke us up with the call. I started trying to contact them to tell them to take me off their call list. When I finally got through to someone, I could barely understand him. When I told him I wanted off their call list, he asked me all kinds of personal info, not just my name and date of birth. He said it was for security. Then he transferred me to an automated message where I sat on hold until it rang back to him. I tried again, he made me wait about 10 minutes, then told me I wasn't in the system at all! beware of shady billing. I had service back in 2/21. I specifically asked what my out of pocket expenses were the day of the service and the front desk lady clearly stated I owed nothing. Fast forward 7 months and i get an email at 8pm stating I owe $575. Can't even make a call to speak with someone at 8pm. Very disappointed and poor way to run a business. Originally I was was supposed to have an arthrogram MRI with contrast at the Broadway location. It was scheduled without contrast. They said it was not on the order, but it was and they missed it. Literally, on the drive down (after I medicated with a Valium for anxiety), we get a call saying they have to cancel my appointment, that they don't have a doctor to do the exam that day, and had to reschedule for a different day at another location. My husband and I both took the day off from work for this test. So we rescheduled for another day at the Parker location. Once again, I medicated for anxiety, took another day off work, and so did my husband. Only to arrive at the Parker facility, and be told their doctor only does ultrasound guided, not xray guided, so they would have to reschedule me a third time. This is the most unprofessional medical company I have ever dealt with! So now, I have to beg my doctor for another pill to take beforehand. And beg my boss for another day off work, and they are getting pretty annoyed with my situation, as am I. Do these people not communicate?? Don't you know each doctor's practices? This is absolutely unacceptable! I am debating not going back a third time and going elsewhere. read more

Such a wonderful, caring staff at affordable self-pay prices! My insurance wanted to charge me about $900 for an arthrogram, but I was able to get it done with the self-pay option at SimonMed for under $400. A huge savings. This was my first MRI, and the staff was very sensitive to that and made sure I was comfortable and informed of all the steps. Everybody I encountered was kind and checked on how I was doing and if there was anything that could be done to make my experience more pleasurable. The facility was beautiful and clean. My appointment was for 1430 with a 1400 check in. No one is waiting when I arrived at 1350. Gave my insurance info to the girl behind the counter and filled out my forms before anyone else arrived. Then a doctors wife walks in with a family member and I am fed a line about waiting to get authorization from my insurance. I know this was a lie because my insurance has never not paid, called them while the girl behind the counter was on her cell phone and was assured that a preauthorization was not needed with our plan and it would be covered. Well the girl behind the counter must have heard me because she picks up the office line without it ringing or her dialing a number gives me the thumbs up. I understand that I look like crap, I have had a headache for the past five days and really have no desire to look like I just walked off a runway to get an MRI. I can assure you that my position in life is no less important than the person you jumped ahead of me but what really upsets me is the lie that was told to do it. read more

I was thrilled with my experience here. My cousin doesn't have insurance and SimonMed was by far the BEST self pay option around. She said it was great there! I needed a MRI myself later, but I thankfully have insurance. I found out they also bill insurance. I used SimonMed and I couldn't be more pleased! Juanita was wonderful!!! She took me back for my MRI and explained things, gave me ear plugs and even offered me a blanket; which was warm! When she was done with my MRI she let me know she would make me a copy of MRI on CD in about 5 minutes, but she gave brought it to me in less than 2 minutes and also mentioned they will send a copy of the MRI on CD with a full report to my doctor as well! First off, the facility was clean and the staff friendly. However, their are other problems. Our doctor referred us here because SimonMed was new to Denver and offering a discounted rate on an MRI - $250 - as a "new facility special". While the rate was for cash pay only, the scheduling person I spoke with said they also offered discounted services for insurance pay. We needed an arthrogram, which understandably is more money. The scheduling person checked our benefits and we were quoted $387.50 cash pay for both procedures (MRI and arthrogram) and $525 for both if run through insurance. I asked why it was so much cheaper than other facilities and I was told it was because they wanted to attract new business. This fee seemed reasonable based on what I was led to believe as true while talking with the scheduling person. Also, our online insurance estimator for an arthrogram stated this procedure would be about $417. Anyway, since it was only a little bit more money to run through insurance we decided to use SimonMed services so it would count towards deductible. The bills came and I was stunned. First, there were two bills, both for the same line item by line item charges. That was straightened out and now we are being charged almost $1100. I have spoken with billing many times. First, I was accused of not asking for the correct procedure. When I pointed out that the schedular had the doctors orders at the time of the quote the next accusation was that I consented to services. I consented to services based on the $525 quote. It is understandable if the fee fluctuates a little, but not almost double. We have had no issue with other imaging centers in Denver when it comes to straight forward quotes of fees. Our insurance company online estimator is also very close to the actual fees charged at other centers. Our insurance company has become involved and they were told by a SimonMed billing department agent that the person who originally quoted us the $525 fee did not include the arthrogram. There are other places in Denver much closer to my home, however, we traveled twice the distance for the reduced rate. I hesitate to call it a scam if someone in their office made a mistake, but own up to it and use it for training purposes. I have no issue paying the $525 that was quoted but how I have been treated since, by the billing department, is inexcusable. Buyer beware. read more
