Since I bought my house I've been doing home improvement projects a bit at a time. One project on…read moremy list was replacing the old windows with some new, nice energy efficient windows. I called SoCal and had them come out and give me a quote. The salesman was fantastic, he was very clear and gave a great demo of the glass options available for the windows. We ended up going with the Anlin Catalina series and couldn't be happier. SoCal Energy stayed in contact with me about the progress of getting the windows in and they did the install a day earlier than originally though. The team was on time and got right to work, they replaced all 7 windows and my sliding patio door in a few hours and the work was great. My wife and I are very happy with the windows and patio door, the quality of the glass is great and the frames look really nice. I'd highly recommend SoCal Energy to anyone looking to upgrade their windows or doors.

This was the most miserable consumer interaction I have ever experienced. I was seeking window…read morereplacement. Was given a fair estimate however the sliding glass door/windows were measured incorrectly and the new windows were manufactured too small. The installers discovered this upon installation and left my old aluminum windows in place and installed the new windows within them. The new slider was two inches shorter and two inches narrower. They filled The discrepancy with foam and attempted to cover their error with a cheap plastic trim that did not match the window. In addition, I had ceramic tile installed in front of the slider based on their assurance that the tile would not be touched. The first thing they did upon installation was cut the tile. At the end of the day the slider was left with the old windows and the foam exposed and no caulk or grout in the space created by cutting the tile. The company also did not pull a permit as required by my city. When I complained I was told it was not 'rocket science' and that even my son could install the trim, etc and basically finish the job. They further refused to rectify the situation stating it would cost them too much money! A horrible experience I am still dealing with. I would not recommend them.

We originally hired this handyman to mount our 100-inch TV, and they did a great job, so we hired…read morethem again to install floating shelves and a farmhouse barn door in our pantry. During the project, we all agreed that only five long shelves would fit in the pantry, and the sixth shelf would go in the laundry room. We also agreed not to install the smaller shelves because there wasn't enough space. They offered a $35 discount for that change. My biggest disappointment was the barn door. It was brand new in the box, but they said it was damaged and still installed it without discussing it with us first. We were also charged the full installation price. I believe better communication and honesty would have made this a much better experience. I feel they didn't want to let us know about the damage on the door beforehand bc of job scope changed. Definitely feels like we got scammed for 6 floating shelves and holes in our walls. The work itself was good, but the lack of transparency left us with mixed feelings.

He also assured me he could also complete the finish work. He said the job would take two days, two days turned into three weeks and he never completed the job. I was unsatisfied with the mud work. I told him to send me a qualified mudder. Instead, he sent a friend who had worked as a locksmith. I called Matt to discuss a resolution. He started to avoid my calls and messages. He would come up with excuses, he said his guys were learning which he never disclosed to me, He said he had bad service, he said he would call me later, he said he had an appointment, he said he was sick. He never came out to see the final work, although I had left messages for him and told him I was concerned and unsatisfied with the work. I asked for a refund. He no longer accepted my calls or responded to me. Beware of Lugo's handyman services. Incapable and dishonest. He will take your money but not complete the job.
