My husband and I arrived about one hour before closing (around 1:00pm today Saturday 3/7/2026). We were quickly greeted and seated. We sat over by the coffee maker. I ordered coffee & water, my husband had water. We both ordered the western omelet. I had the hashbrowns & toast that came with the omelet. They both were cooked Excellent!! My husband's skillet potatoes side and omelet were very good he said. My coffee was good too. No complaints. I will be back next time we come thru Buffalo. Yummm! read more

I really wanted to like this place but was disappointed today. We got there around 12:50. The place was packed but there were still a few tables open. They have a smoking area at the back that's separated from the front with a half wall so if you're sensitive to cigarette smoke you're still gonna smell it regardless of where you're sitting. The waitress promptly took our orders and brought us our drinks and made sure they were refilled while we waited an HOUR and 20 MINUTES for our food!! They ran out of French fries and instead of asking what we wanted to replace them with they brought our plates to the table with tater tots. The burgers were ok and the chicken strips were over cooked. Next time we're in town we'll find somewhere else FYI: use the bathroom before you go...theirs are pretty gross read more

I saw this in the Apple Maps app, I was about to stop but realized I could look at reviews. I saw mutiple stating that it was horrible and that they waited over an hour for food and that service was horrible. Food was digusting and overcooked, heard that the bathrooms were disgusting and there was a smoking area, now I am not planning on eating there. read more

Not sure why the bad reviews as I have never had problems with this place. The food is so good and the portions are huge. The service has also always been great. I go there early mornings and have had no issues. If there was a complaint, it would be the $1.50 service charge to used a card versus cash. read more

Stopped for breakfast on way through town. Good ole country breakfast. Large portions, more food then we could eat. We had biscuits and gravy, country potatoes, and a ham and cheese omelet. Everything delicious. Waitresses were very attentive. Highly recommend. read more

First time here and I was pleasantly surprised! We barely sat down and our server, Tracy had the coffee to us in seconds. We weren't ready right away but she didn't forget us and came back around for our orders quickly. Small mom & pop style no frills greasy spoon serving up breakfast and lunch. Expect friendly service and satisfying meals. Biggest negative about this place is the restaurant is filled with a thick cloud of cigarette smoke that will choke off your windpipe while you eat. Usually when I come here I eat breakfast since it's called the Breakfast Nook after all, not the Lunch Nook but this time around I figured I'd try lunch. My flight was leaving later(so I thought) so I needed something to stick with me for the rest of the day. I went with the fried shrimp plate. I made the mistake of paying 3 bucks for a side salad. Don't do this, total rip off. You'll get a plate of shredded up browning lettuce with flavorless dressing. Total waste of money and calories. My entree on the other hand was great. It's just frozen out of bag fried shrimp and french fries but they were cooked golden brown and were delicious. Huge portion too, I was stuffed. Besides the shrimp & fries it came with uninspired coleslaw and boring garlic bread. My wife's lunch on the other hand was fantastic. Simply described on the specials pork as "fried pork cutlet" this thing was a monster of a meal! Enormous slab of pork loin breaded country fried steak style and slathered in country gravy. I ate a giant chunk of it and was blown away. Golden brown flavor crust on juicy tender pork. Fantastic meal and I highly recommend if you're in the mood to raise your cholesterol. My father-in-law snagged the very last piece of catfish which he let me take a bite. For a breakfast place they make a great tasting fried catfish. Thick juicy piece of fish with season packed cornmeal batter. I was jealous. Mother-in-law had chicken strip & fries. Last time I was here I had the traditional three egg breakfast with bacon and grits. I'm giving it 3 stars but it's a good 3 stars and I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. read more

Where do I begin! It's was about 9:00 am. Our family of three sat down in a booth. By 9:10 am they took our order for drinks and food. Within ten minutes we got our drinks. It's was 10:20 am is when the waitress said "it will be a few more minutes for your food". "Well this is ridiculous". My mom said. Ten minutes later we had to ask for our food togo because, we had to leave this dump. And we had some place we had to be! We get into the truck and started to eat our food but it was cold, small, and disgusting! If we haven't of had to go someplace we would of return it! On top of that the waitress was rude.... As an out of state visitor, I don't go to many greasy spoon type restaurants. We stopped in the Breakfast Nook today after a family member recommended it. The positives: The service is mostly friendly and welcoming. The food is cheap! Our group of 5 all ate for less than $50. You'll leave with a full stomach and wallet. The negatives: this list is a little longer. While they do have a non-smoking section, they should be named "more smoke" and "less smoke." It's simply unavoidable. The bathrooms, cold and dirty, should be avoided. I mentioned the cheap food as a positive. This is also to their detriment as most of the food is clearly prepackaged and reheated. The Kraft singles on my hash browns were half melted and only added to the meal's plasticity and bland flavor. In short, the meals are cheap because the ingredients are the cheapest available. If I'm in the area again, I more than likely won't return. Expect to get lungs full of smoke and a pretty lackluster meal. 1.5/5 stars read more

We waited 10 min for a server to even give us our drink order, didn't even say what her name was. Then we waited another 15 min for our food order, all while others and our waitress were getting their "normal" customers their orders and standing around they waited 4 min for theirs. I've been meaning to write this review up for some time. Several months ago personal business took my wife and I to Buffalo. We arrived a bit early and we needed something to eat. In reality nothing looked very good as we drove around. Then we spotted a local owned diner in a small strip mall. It didn't look very promising either but with a small mom and pop diner you never know. We got lucky!!!! We ordered the tenderloin sandwich. It took us back to the days before every diner served the same factory made mysterymeat concoction. This was the best tenderloin sandwich I've eaten in the last 30 years, Buffalo you are so lucky to have these folks cooking in your town. It was a real piece of pork loin mechanically tenderized and lightly floured. Then deep fried to perfection and as with all good tenderloins it hung out over the edge of the bun a good inch to 2 inches. It was huge. This little bit of heaven also has it's thorns, be prepared for a lot of second hand smoke as they have never heard of a smoking ban. but the sandwich makes it worth it. read more

Food is good. Service is average. Wait time for food is RIDICUlOUS! Every single time I go in it takes like 30 minutes to get out a couple eggs and biscuits. Today after 40 minutes of waiting for chicken strips and fries, we ask them to cancel our order. There was no real attempt to apologize or attempt to fix the situation. Took my son and his friend to breakfast. Dorothy the cashier almost ruined it for us. She jumped on our server as though the server wasn't doing her job, and then Dorothy had to be told to clean the tables that had been used. Our server was great, the food was fabulous, but Dorothy needs to grow a personality other than the one she now shows. read more
