Tuscan breakfast ordered with chicken rather than prosciutto took 40 minutes to come out but was worth the wait. Busy Sunday morning by 11.30 tables were full. Servers checked in with us. Been here numerous times over the years and it's consistently well cooked. No unpleasant surprises. read more

This is one of those restaurants that believe their past reputation will carry them forward no matter what. No matter how many awards won in the past, only forward thinking, creativity and a passion for food will propel restaurants into continued notoriety. However, owners must be open to new ideas and keen on keeping their business relevant in today's competitive market (although this is Regina, not Vancouver, so they may yet survive another few years). Breakfast Bistro is not one of these restaurants. I ordered their fried chicken and avocado toast eggs Benedict with Greek style hash browns. I also ordered a side of homemade croissants. When I received my meal, the fried chicken had dark burned spots on its corners which indicated that the chicken was microwaved. Although it had been previously fried, the chicken was likely to have been frozen and then microwaved along with the English muffin it sat on. My sad English muffin was left soggy due to the chicken de-thawing. The Greek style potato's was nothing spectacular - unless you like the overly sauced type and the croissant was underdone and doughy. The waitress was kind enough even after I told her about my complaint. But I still ended up paying for my meal despite having it taken back. I wished I could've eaten what everyone had spoken about in the past. Beautiful eggs Benedict with a gorgeous silky hollandaise. Oh and one of my poached eggs ended up being over cooked (a hard centre) and the other was properly cooked. This restaurant was likely a gem in the past. But now, due to "winning awards in 2017, 2018 and 2019", they seem to be believe that they are still cooking to same standard as they once had. Unfortunately for them, as other restaurants are becoming more creative and the struggle to survive in an increasingly expensive world becomes more paramount, Breakfast Bistro is living in the past. Their acceptance of short cuts over proper cooking techniques and restaurateur etiquette (ie. microwaving food versus of cooking them on the spot and allowing unsatisfied customers to not pay for their meal) will be the death of them. read more

Great spot. I've been several times when in Regina on business and I have always been very pleased with the quality of the food and the prompt great service. Highly recommend this place for everyone. read more

I know you get what you pay for. I could have given an extra star because our waitress was nice and the food was delicious. That is a fact. The food is fantastic. Why, you ask did I not? I asked for hot sauce and they charged me a DOLLAR. Petty. Very petty. I got a tiny little cup of hot sauce. For the amount of money I paid for that breakfast ($50 for two people and all we drank was coffee), you are charging for hot sauce?!! Shame. Shame. Shame. I was at HOME before I realized and I am so glad that I asked for a container for my DROP of hot sauce. Not only that, but the kitchen screwed up and brought out the eggs wrong but they also added sauce. My husband said there was no reason to return the meal, he would eat it, and THEY CHARGED HIM FOR SAUCE THAT THEY PUT ON IN ERROR. He was being nice that they didn't need to remake his meal AND THEY CHARGED FOR THE SAUCE $2.50. PETTY. PETTY. EDIT: After reading about other people who were asked to leave because the line was long. Well...there was no line. Problem solved. Word of mouth is spreading. read more

Just had an amazing breakfast here. Ambiance and service top notch. We had the Salmon Benedict, which must rank close to the best that I've had (and I eat that dish a lot!) The edges were done as I ordered, and the accompaniments were just right. Service from Kayden at the bar was attentive and great! read more

I hadn't been back to Breakfast bistro since this last post, I am happy to change my review. It was amazing, they were so busy and were quick and efficient in their wait times and service. Food was tasty, warm and flavourful. our waitress was amazing and attentive. My husband had to wait for his toast for a couple extra minutes and it was no skin off our back. We weren't concerned at all and the staff comped his meal. Which was unnecessary but extremely kind. I would gladly go back and send others there. read more

Totally worth coming in for a bite! Great menu and fresh ingredients! Make sure you stop in and and let them serve you! You won't regret it :-) read more

Love the food and the variety of gluten free choices! Our server was friendly. The manager yelled at one of the servers for an extended time in the view of most of the restaurant- very disconcerting. Additionally a woman came in with a dog on a leash and sat down - nothing indicated it was a service dog and although it was leashed it wandered around the table and the walking area. There were tables available on the patio and the day was pleasant. No one approached the customer and the dog was still there when we left despite Sask having public health standards banning dogs inside restaurants. An unpleasant experience. read more

Breakfast Bistro has amazing potatoes. So good. Tried the Belgium Waffle and the Florentine Benedict. Both were very good. Great spot for a quick and tasty breakfast. Good variety of drink options. read more

Breakfast Bistro - Belgium Waffle - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Regina, Saskatchewan

Decided to treat the wife to a mothers day brunch. The decorations were top notch but took forever to get seated as well took over an hour to get food. By the time the food got to us it was cold and soggy. The wife got Belgian waffles which were cold and soggy from sitting there. She said shes had a better eggo from the freezer. Also I decided to try an eggs Benedict with salmon as I seen that it was supposed to be best in the city. When I got it was cold. So try eating cold egg on top of cold salmon, just didnt sit well. The only warm things on the plate which were the hashbrowns. When presented to the waiter that the food was cold he only said sorry it's cold and didn't do anything about it. No discount or even offering to warm it or anything. Ending up spending 60 on two cold meals. Not sure if I can reccomend this place. read more

Looking for a breakfast place in Regina, we decided to try Breakfast Bistro after reading some reviews and am glad to report that this must be the best breakfast place in Regina. It's not the cheapest but it's a few notches above Mr. Breakfast. The interior has a warm modern feel. The service was great and the prices are reasonable, given the ambiance and the quality of the food. The breakfast Bennie's seem to be very popular and the latte was perfect. The place was so nice we decided to go back for lunch the next day. The interior actually holds 2 restaurants, Breakfast Bistro and Luna Kitchen. The strip plaza they are located in also has a great sushi place...read my review on Enso Sushi. read more

This was our first time to restaurant. We went on a Sunday so the wait for a table for breakfast was a about 30mins which was a little long but the restaurant did seem busy. Once we did get seated and out server came to our table we where told it would be about 35mins for our food come. We placed our orders and it defiantly took over 35mins to get our meals and for breakfast that long seems some what unreasonable for basically some eggs, hash browns and toast. While we waited our server only came back one to ask if we needed anything. When our food did arrive it was good, but not crazy better then other places in town. Basically all in all we're are unsure if we would retun to this place for breakfast as it seems like you need at least 2hrs to eat here and the food isn't that amazing that's it worth the wait. read more

This was the second time that my partner and I have been to this place. Although the food is quite good, it takes a while to be served and the service itself is terrible. We got seated by one person, another person took our order and said that she was going to take our order for "Tory" or "Cory". Who I guess was supposed to be our server, who I don't think we ever were served by. Another server brought our food to us. And at the end of it, I couldn't figure out who to ask for our bill because we'd been served so sporadically. I asked a random server, I could find and asked her for our bill, which she politely said yes. She went to who was supposed to be our server, I'm assuming, and our server asked the one we asked if she could get our bill for us instead. About 10 mins later, another server came with our bill. How is it that you can walk into a restaurant, not a bar, and NOT know who your server is. I will not be recommending this place to anyone and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone through yelp. Unless you really want to see what NOT to do in a restaurant. read more

Delicious. We have been numerous times for breakfast. I've had skillets, omelettes, classic breakfast, eggs benedicts and more. Breakfast potatoes are better than average hashbrowns, toast is tasty and the coffee is always delicious. The side of fruit portion is very small, so that could use some portion adjusting but otherwise always love this spot for breakfast! Thanks! read more

Portions are decent sized but it is pricey. How this place was voted best benny in town is beyond me. The hollandaise sauce was too thick, lumpy and didn't taste anything like a traditional hollandaise sauce. Would not recommend the eggs benny. read more

so impressed with the ambiance breakfast bistro provides. Everything from the food, to the service, and the drinks as well! This London fog is better then anything I have tasted in Regina. We love it here! read more

Possibly the best breakfast joint in Regina if you're looking for steps up from the norm. My friends and I were on a weekend getaway from Moose Jaw. We came for good food and good local beer. The menu here is creative, the food was delicious. But a few minutes after we received the bill, we were essentially kicked out. A woman, possibly the manager, came over and asked us if there was anything else we needed or she could get for us. We replied we were just finishing our coffee and the food was great. She then said there's a long line of people waiting for a table and made a gesture that it was time for us to leave. It was surprising considering the food and the wait staff were impeccable. This is an example of bad management. She lost four customers that day. Imagine 100 people had this kind of experience. And let's say each spends about $20 on breakfast. And let's say they would return about 10 times in a year. That's $20,000 in lost revenue. read more

I had an amazing meal at the Breakfast Bistro. How had I not known about this spot before? The menu has something for everyone so meat-eaters, vegans, vegetarians, gluten-free and paleo can all enjoy! I had the gluten free waffles and fried potatoes. They provided a generous helping of delicious potatoes and the waffles were super yummy! At one point, the owner "Bill" came over to our table to say a friendly hello and ask how our food was tasting. He seemed genuinely interested in assuring that his guests were having the best experience. I was also impressed with the decor, cleanliness and the view of this space. We had a window seat facing a small pond and it was quite lovely. The service was very friendly. I will absolutely be returning and making this my number 1 brunch spot in the city! read more

All I can say is "wow!" This is the first time I have been to their new location, and the service has improved tremendously from the past. I was promptly brought my cappuccino and Prosciutto Benedict (which were both immensely delicious, by the way) and had wonderful, speedy service the entire meal. I always had my water refilled and any condiments I needed to enjoy my meal. I never remembered them having the prosciutto Benedict on their menu before, and I have to say it is a beautiful medley of flavours with the sharp, creamy goat cheese paired with the salty prosciutto. As always, I adore their hashbrowns! Give this place a try! With the new atmosphere, food, and service it'll be sure to please! read more

Went here for brunch a few weeks ago and had the Tuscan Breakfast. It was really delicious, and the hashbrowns were pan fried (not lazily deep fried). The coffee was tasty. My husband had a standard breakfast and his bacon was so thick cut and legitimate that I was really jealous. I would go here again in a heartbeat. read more

I'd heard great things about this place and was very excited to eat here. I came for the 3rd try to get a table today. Unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed. Pros: Delicious caesars, nice place, most of the staff was friendly. Cons: *Timeliness* -Hour wait time for a table. We could only see one other family waiting though. We figured the food would be worth it. -Over an hour wait for the food. 3 families walked out. One table had gotten food in this time. -Nearly 3 hours passed from the time we first arrived to leaving. *Service* -Had to flag down the server to order another drink. She did not check on us any other time, nor ask if we were enjoying the food once we got it. -First time she talked to us again was to say that our food would be out next. We'd been watching it sit under the warmer for some time already. -No one was getting food, so it wasn't like she was that busy. She would walk around, seemingly doing nothing, and right past us without checking. -No one came to talk to us to apologize for the wait or explain what was going on. We were hungry and frustrated. We didn't understand how no one was getting food, yet it was still taking so long. -Food still somehow came out cold for all 3 of us. How does one wait this long and still end up with cold food. *Food* -Egg in my sriracha benny was filled with water. I cut into what was supposed to be an easy egg to have my benny be soaked with the gush of liquid (very unappetizing), and find a hard yolk. -I think they forgot the sriracha sauce because my benny was very bland. One of the least good bennys I've ever had. -The hollandaise was not made properly. It was thick, a bit chunky and had a glue texture. I love eggs benny but this left a bad taste and feel in my mouth. I realize this is just the first weekend in their new location and they have some kinks to work out. They could have treated us much better by keeping us informed and checked on. The new set up still doesn't excuse the poor food though. I know from other people that they do know how to make a good eggs benny, so I don't know what happened here. However, I'm not willing to spend another 3 hours of my life to find out. read more

While the menu was extensive, we were very disappointed in the customer service. In a group of 5, the server (the owner) got two of our orders wrong. One of the eggs Benedict had cold eggs and cold hollandaise. When we brought this to their attention, she offered to microwave it and discouraged us from getting a new one as it would "take too long and they were busy". They made a new one (cold again) and still charged us full price ($17). Also, no apologies given for the inconvenience. Before paying, she asked us if we know what good hollandaise sauce is. We chose this place for a special occasion - will not return. read more

Food is wonderful! We had omelets, sausage, bacon, potatoes, flax bread/toast - everything was tasty and interesting. Prices are typical. Service was fast, atmosphere is pleasant. The only reasons we aren't giving it 5 stars is because they don't have wifi and their credit/debit card reader was broken, so we had to pay cash. Which we were not prepared for and we weren't warned ahead of time. read more

This is fantastic little spot. The atmosphere is comfortable and the food is delicious. The service is friendly and attentive, but the food takes quite a while to be prepared. My mother always said good food takes time, but keep that in mind. I highly recommend this place for breakfast. read more

Tried Breakfast Bistro for the first time. Showed up at 10:50am. Waited over an hour for bacon and eggs. Waiter barely showed up to top up coffee. Manager was rude and ripped the sugar packets away from my 14 month old son. I can understand if she doesn't want a child playing with them, but she was a bit of a cow. Food was good but overpriced. $59 for bacon and eggs for me and waffles for my wife. I had coffee and she had a juice. Definitely won't be recommending or going back. read more

Nice addition to the east end of Regina. Tried to had a soup and salad for a lunch. The soup was gone by 2 and my choice was Florentine Egg benedict read more

Deadful. Rude, lazy staff. Waited 45 minutes. Only one refill of coffee and pop. Never going again. Avoid at all costs

I was here a couple times, first had the Traditional eggs benny, was definitely very good. Took about 15 minutes, its best to have your mind made up right away and order when she brings the water or you might have to wait another 10-15 minutes. I also had the hamburger, I tell ya the thing looked phenomenal, but in actuality just too much bread and it was the chewy type like a bagel. Also, god bless them but the nice thick slice of bacon was too chewy and 1/2 was fat under cooked.... you know where Im going with this... Thin bacon that is crisp is actually better and always remember : 2/3 burger and 1/3 bun .. not the other way around !!! read more

To be honest overall I love the place! The atmosphere is great, and although the food is a little over priced it used to be one of my fave Sunday morning stops. That was up until I brought one of my bridesmaids there for brunch and to ask her to stand up for me at or wedding. It was fairly busy, as most Sunday breakfast places are. We got our table and started our visit. It took awhile for the server to come, which we weren't worried about because we had some catching up to do. Once we ordered the food took 50 minutes to come, again we weren't too worried since we had wedding planning to discuss. As soon as we were finished, what I assume is an owner came up to our table to take payment right away. We were a little taken aback since they had cleared our plates maybe a minute prior. So we paid and continued to chat, about 10 minutes later this lady walked by again and asked us if we needed anything. We said no and continue to visit, yes I am aware that it was a busy place but we also came to visit and we paid good money for eggs to have that privilege. She came by about 5 minutes after and asked us again, we were beginning to get the hint but were in the middle of a planning detail. About 5 minutes later she came by and asked us to leave because they needed the table. Now I served for many years and I get that you need Turnover, but you also need customer service. We gathered our stuff a little taken aback from our exchange and left, expecting to see the place lines up to the door. There was 1 group of 3 waiting. So we stood outside in the snow and finished our visit. I think the place has many positives as I mentioned, but customer service goes a long way. read more

The eggs I ordered was good, the waitress was good. At the end of our meal my husband saw these big slices of desert in the front and decided to buy two for us. When we received them, they were easily half the size and very dry looking. Each desert was pricey, and they were both disgusting. I refused to eat mine. Their display was very misleading to what we actually received and that put us off of this place. Worst desert I have ever had, Didn't appear to me as if they were made in house but purchased elsewhere. yuck read more

My friend and I wanted to check this place out. We went for a coffee around 2:30, sign said open, no hours on the outside door posted so we walked in and were stopped by the owner who rudely told us they were closing.
